Hello everyone - just to let you know I've got my appt through to see the consultant - the week after next!!! Am so relieved. I know he may not have any answers, but at least I'll get the results of the bloods and it feels as though it's positive progress. Happy Christmas, everyone!

cricri · 28/12/2007 13:39

Hi Ele, so sorry to hear about your mc and sorry you've had to find us IYSWIM. However, you'll find plenty of support on here so welcome.
As far as ov'ing etc is concerned after a mc, everybody is different. Some ladies on here ov'd very quickly, for others it took longer. Some had AF very quickly and for others it took longer too. I can understand you wanting to get back to ttc as quickly as possible (I was the same!) but make sure you also give yourself time to recover from the mc. There is a lot of useful info here I certainly found the site very helpful in the early days.
Hope everybody else is OK? It's been very quiet around here the past few days! Hopefully you all had a good Christmas - we certainly did and we're still eating left-overs!
Verso Great news about your appointment with the consultant.

ronshar · 28/12/2007 17:12

Hello everybody.

I hope you all had a great Christmas. I hope Santa was very kind to you all.

teeheelaydee · 01/01/2008 11:01

Happy New Year all.

Haven't been around for a while. Was just finding news of people having to join us too sad and also had to do xmas stuff. Literally had to ban myself from Internet entirely !

Looks like everyone has been busy as pretty quiet but glad to hear pg ladies are hanging on in there. The days keep going by.

merrylissiemas · 01/01/2008 16:07

hello ladies, just a quick one coz have no internet at home at the mo and am at my mums, just want to wish you all a happy new year!!

EllieG · 02/01/2008 09:50

Happy new year all! Hoping that 2008 brings you good health and happiness x

sfxmum · 02/01/2008 16:14

hello ladies hope you are all well and optimistic for the New Year, it is the only way to go I guess

My first AF post mc arrived today, which I find reassuring in a way. got some Ovulation sticks and will be using them this month but only for charting I think.

tale care all

cricri · 02/01/2008 19:22

Happy New Year everybody - let's hope 2008 brings BFPs for all of us.
Sfxmum it's always good to know that your body is getting back to normal after your mc, although I was secretly hoping for a BFP that first month and was disappointed when it didn't happen. Still, got to stay positive as you say. Good luck with the OPKs this month.
I have my first acupuncture session booked for next Tuesday and I'm hoping it will help with ttc. I know a number of people on MN who have had BFPs after acupuncture so here's hoping.
Hope everybody else is OK. xx

TJuice · 03/01/2008 20:08

hi everyone and happy new year!
hope you are all doing well.

just a quickie, as i am so knackered (still).

but just wanted to check in and say hey.

Lilypink · 04/01/2008 09:22

Hello everyone, I have posted on various names of this thread before, but have been quiet for a while. I think a recognise some of the names from before. A quick plotted history 1dd who is 18 months and 2 m/c since July 2007. Now trying AGAIN. And although only first cycle I feel totally fed up. I am used to the whole obsessive knicker watch once I know I am pg. But now I have gone and learnt about checking CM as a way of determining fertility and when to BD. it just seems like my life is just totally revolving around what is in my pants??!!

Anyway enough about me. Happy NewYear to everyone, lets hope 2008 is a good one eh?!

KashaSarrasin · 04/01/2008 14:33

Happy New Year everyone! Welcome back lilypink, hope everyone else is OK.

Still no sign of my first post-ERPC AF here . I've been feeling very PMS-y for about 10 days (poor DH ) but nothing yet apart from some tiny spotting on NY day. I'm slightly concerned as Fertility Friend thinks I ovulated on Dec 16th, which was 19 days ago, although I haven't been charting my temperature every day so not sure how reliable that is. We certainly weren't planning to ttc until after at least one normal AF, but there was an occasion where DH and I became overwhelmed by Festive Spirit so I guess there's a small chance I could be up the duff. Not at all sure I'm ready to cope with that at the moment... especially as I'm still waiting for the results of my clotting blood tests.

Are there any charting gurus who'd like to take a look at my chart? Should I go and get a test?

LoveAngel · 04/01/2008 16:02

Hey ladies & ladettes. Been away from the conception boards for a while, but back in the swing of things and started ttc baby no.2 this month after October 07 m/c. Feeling despondent and down about it (trying to be positive, but it's hard...). Been so physically unwell since m/c, it's hard to be all smiley and energetic right now. Also feeling very sorry for myself as I failed my driving test this morning - totally unrelated, I know, but has added to general 'UnHappy New Year' feeling!
Ah well...onwards and upwards. Hope everyone else is ok and let's hope for lots of lovely BFPs and good news in 2008.

sfxmum · 04/01/2008 16:14

Hi all

Kasha sorry no wise words regarding chart

loveangel sorry about driving test, hope you feel better soon

this post mc AF has been heavy, dh is under strict instructions to be accountable for contraceptioneven if I try to persuade him otherwise in a couple of weeks.
I really feel, rationally speaking that we should wait at least another normal cycle

LoveAngel · 04/01/2008 16:17

Hi sfxmum - hope you're feeling ok? Lots of people don't wait for a full cycle to start ttc again. As long as you feel physically well, there isn't a major problem with trying again asap- doctors generally advise you to wait so you can date your pregnancy accurately, I think. Personally, I have waited two cycles to start trying again (this is my first cycle of ttc since m/c) as I don't think I could have coped with the highs and possible lows of another pregnancy so soon afterwards. but each to their own. Good luck! xx

sfxmum · 04/01/2008 16:22

yes I would feel the same loveangel it is not on medical advice but very much how I feel, I could do with loosing a few pounds, post Christmas too.am actually feeling better than I though I would iyswim

like you say all positive things this year onwards and upwards

Lilypink · 04/01/2008 16:30

Kasha - from what I have read, your chart looks like it may be worth a test. I think yor temp should have dipped a bit by now and stays elevated if pg?? But I am certainly no expert - although slowly getting there with each pg!!

Its nice to see that there are a few of us who are going for it again after m/c. I am on CD22 and usually have 30 day cycles but managed to convince myself from CM that my most fertile day was cd11 but I guess I was wildly out!

Oh I do hope we start having some good luck xx

ps as a welcome I have some scrummy chocolate refridgerator cake which is here on a plate for you all to help yourself x

KashaSarrasin · 04/01/2008 16:56

lilypink ooh cake, don't mind if I help myself

Sorry about your driving test loveangel. DH took his three times before passing, and I haven't got around to taking mine at all yet!

sfxmum I know exactly what you mean about not feeling ready, I really wanted to get in tip top physical and emotional state before TTC again.

DH is on his way home with a ClearBlue Digital test. Really don't know what I'm feeling at the moment, I think I'll be disappointed if it turns out negative, but at the same time terrified if it's positive. Plus feeling a bit daft at having got into this situation in the first place, I'm definitely old enough to know better

Lilypink · 04/01/2008 17:13

Good luck wth the testing Kasha, Have you got any symptoms - sore boobs etc?

Its a shame that having a m/c takes away all the excitement - I remember testing for my first pg it was such a brilliant time!
All my fingers and toes are crossed for you that whatever the result is will be the right one. Sweet that you dh is buying the test, don't reckon mine could do that!!

Lilypink · 04/01/2008 17:17

Just thought as well Kasha - the spotting you mentioned on NY day - could be implantation??!! Timings seems about right for it to be that too. I have had implantation bleeding about the time af due

sfxmum · 04/01/2008 17:20

I love that advert for clearblue digital
'the most advance piece of technology you will ever pee on' PMSL rather appropriately
best of luck Kasha

will nibble at cake but really must loose lard was looking quite matronly in all those Christmas photos[v. scared emoticon]
or maybe it is just my advancing years

KashaSarrasin · 04/01/2008 18:10

ClearBlue digital says BFP - result in less than 30 seconds.

Normal Clearblue says BFP - line showed up before the pee got as far as the control window.

Accessdiagnostics test strip says BFP. Have compared with the 10 or so strips I did with last m/c and line is stronger and darker than any of them (even the one I did at 7 weeks), as dark as the control line.

Poundland cheapo 3 for a £ says BFP.

Still shaking. DH is chuffed but I'm terrified. I'm guessing that with such strong +ves it can't possibly be left-over hormones from the m/c, unless something is seriously wrong...

I'll have to phone the GP tomorrow (are they even open Saturdays) and find out if clotting blood tests are back yet (hospital was supposed to be sending them on the 2nd).

Oh bloody hell!
