My dh thinks I'm mad but hey don't they all

POPSY Welcome back. We have missed you. It has been a very long 5 months. How are you honey. Is life treating you better? I had another mc in Oct. I was pregnant for a very grand 4 days!!

JULES That is blimin brilliant. I am doing a little dance around my kitchen for you. Make sure you take it very easy and dont over do it young lady! (Nurse head on then).

Coolkat You need to watch how much you are bleeding & the level of pain you are in. If it gets bad then get back to doctors as you may need ERPC. It takes a long time to emotionally get over a MC as you can see from the lunatics on this thread. Always say what you feel and never worry about offending anyone because we have all been there at some point.

ALBS Pleased you had a great time at the child free wedding. It is good to get away and be just an adult sometimes.

Sorry to dissapoint you ladies but there will be no live testing from me this month.
I still havent bought any wee sticks (yipeeee), which for me is a massive step in the right direction, away from the insane asylum . However I also think that TEW is on her way. I have had the usual cramps down my leg and also a bit of post BD bleeding at the weekend. It was our anniversary so I gave DH a treat. No actual bleeding yet so we shall see!

Ha look at me pretending to be all grownup and positive. I really want to buy wee sticks. Some body help me I am crazy.

EllieG · 03/12/2007 11:17

It comes to something when all you can think about it how much you want to get some wee sticks. We've all been there though hon...
Hope you had a nice anniversary x

ronshar · 03/12/2007 11:42

Cheers Ellie, we had a great first anniversary. We were child free for the night, which is heavenly.
Before you all lynch me I love both DDs with all my heart and desparately want another. But sometimes it is beautiful to have time where you are not rushing children to bed while arguing about brushing teeth. The very best thing was waking up and not listening to screaming from DD2 because DD1 hasnt given her the right spoon to eat her breakfast with!
I am eating sweets now so Im sure TEW is coming. At least my cycle is the same 27days as last month. Feels a bit more normal, since MC in March I was having 24 day cycles.

aquababe · 03/12/2007 12:01

well doc was pretty useless.
not my normal one whos on hols.
this one resembled fr ted, took my blood pressure with my sleeve rolled under the pad (didn't give me enough time to get it out the way)
and admitted he hadn't had anyone in this situation for a long while, but he understands there's a special clinic at the hospital for that sort of thing.
he advised I go to a and e.

just told mum so she could come and help with dd, who has spotted mummy is a good target today.

Ronshar good you had a child free time they are precious when you get the chance

Hi all,

Not been here since Wednesday due to lunatic working schedule.

Felt very grand dresssed up as a victorian lady... wish the weather had played along though!!!

So sorry to see new faces, but welcome to you and you will get loads of support here.

My only news is that my waiting for AF post mc is finally over. 53 days!!! I am now on CD3 and wearing my huge bridget jones knickers.

Emotionally I feel all over the place at the moment. Scared that I left it too late to start ttc etc etc. Hey ho. I'll get over it!

Just eaten half a bar of dairy milk, so hopefully it'll kick in soon.

Hi everyone else - coolkat sorry you have to be here but you are amongst friends at least and no one is going to say these things happen for a reason

How are you today Jules?

ooh didn't get to see these posts - is a weird system now where you have to move through pages and my brain just isn't getting it

Hi ronny so fab to hear from you - aother MC F*CK! poor you - I haven't tested since June when I had that weird one and feel very proud of myself (and saving shit loads of money too ) - still having 40 day cycles so think that is just normal for me.
Anyhoo I'm hoping that not trying is going to be more successful than trying IYSWIM - we got ourselves into such a state that we were all shagged out by the time it was really time to do it

popsy76 · 03/12/2007 13:09

Hey jules - hmmm don't you ever look back longingly to the days when you didn't know what a cycle was and you didn't check your pants every time you visit the loo - there are no taboo subjects chez pops anymore - brown stuff is good news though as is old blood so means the bleeding has stopped

sfxmum · 03/12/2007 13:13

hi
Jules and Aqua thinking of you, it is horrid indeed.
just been calling the hospital to arrange for second scan and being given the run around, well they already have a written complaint going in from last week, useless people.

I do so enjoy channelling anger

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 03/12/2007 13:25

Hi there one and all.

Aqua and Coolkat - loads of hugs to you. Am so sorry for all that you're going through. Just so damn unfair.

I for one will be very pleased to see the back of 2007. it hasn't been the happiest of years for a number of reasons.

But Kitty, am so pleased for you that the scan went ok. Hope that you're feeling better today. You just sound absolutely knackered if you slept for 13 hours.

Splish and TJuice- we might be in same part of the country? Am hoping to get DD1 into Surbiton High when she's 11. Think Sutton High might be a little too far to send her....or not if she turns out to be a hellish teenager

JustJules - great news about your figures. Have to admit to not really being up to scratch... but am assuming that the higher the better?

Had a HUGE cry this weekend. Needed to really grieve for lost baby, which is hard to do when you have 2 other kids, a house and husband to look after. Admited to DH that I felt like complete failure because of m/c. He was v supportive and said that whenever I felt ready we could try again. Am still very scared though so we'll see how I feel after Christmas.

Christmas decs go up in our house this w/e because DD1 at her dad's last w/e. I'm also taking her to see The Snowman in central London on Saturday (just the 2 of us) and then we're all off to Hyde Park's Winter Wonderland on Sunday with both of them. Just LOVE LOVE LOVE christmas.

coolkat · 03/12/2007 14:02

Hi Ladies
Thanks for all your messgaes of support, the hospital have phoned and it is as I thought my pregnancy hormone was really low. I have to go to hospital tomorrow for another blood test - something about checking the levels are still going down?

Griningbee I think we may be in the same neck of the woods if you did a victorian fair in the town of MM on sunday!!

Just chilling, still getting bad cramps and bleeding and clots coming quite heavy - sorry tmi.
Does all this sound normal?
I am off work today when do I return / whats normal I do not want them to think I am stupid IYSWIM.

I am lucky I have 1 DD who is 5 and this has kinda put me off trying but we will see.

Sorry for me post I am familiarising myself wih you all, don't want to put my foot in it!

K X

sweetkitty · 03/12/2007 15:33

coolkat - sorry to hear about your test results take some time out for yourself and rest up x

aquababe - what a nightmare of a doctor hope things get resolved for you too

jules - hope the bleeding has tailed off, when are you having another scan?

Georgie - hello there, I think sometimes a good cry is in order sometimes it sneaks up on you but you feel the better for getting it over with.

grinningbee - glad the EW finally turned up now you can get down to some serious ttc -ing in a few days. I used CBD opks first cycle after mc just to see if I actually was ovulating and where my cycle was. I was lucky mine clicked straight back into a 27 day cycle with ov on CD15 can recommend them as it's better to know (well I think anyway) How is your DH?

Hello to everyone else hope Monday is being kind to you all xxx

sfxmum · 03/12/2007 15:43

hope those of you with worries and uncertainties get some answers soon.

odd day today, as I had to chase hospital for follow up scan and cancel the private scan I would be having this weekand must contact GP
also need to cancel booking in appointment but haven't quite managed that yet

grinningbee · 03/12/2007 16:31

Hi Coolkat,

I know everyone is different, but I would say take a few days if you can. No-one with any sense would think you are being silly!

I always say, people can see a cast if you break something, but they can't see something on the inside. It doesn't mean you still don't need time to heal iykwim.

Looks like we are in the same part of the country! Yes I was there holding onto my hat for dear life

Sweetkitty I'm so glad your scan went well. DH is doing well thank you. We have a blood test coming up this week, so as long as his count is the same as before... I don't want to jinx it... but (whispers) I think we're out of the woods!!

I bought a second hand CBFM and got the sticks from boots, so I have it ready and waiting to tell me when to pounce on seduce DH.

I will be interested to see when I ov as to be honest, I really don't have a clue!

I am keeping a book with all my info so if I need to see a dr I have it all to hand.

Me, a trainee obsessive mner?? Nah...

ronshar · 03/12/2007 17:02

Coolkat dont ever worry about what you say here. The more the merrier.

Why are hospitals all so very crap when it comes to MC. I am currently tracking down the MC policy with DoH. I am also writting to my local MP. He is Tory and fab. Saving our local hospital as we speak!!

teeheelaydee · 03/12/2007 17:47

coolkat sorry you have had to join us and any other new additions that I've missed. You will find lots of support here.
As far as work is concerned take as long as you need. Everyone is different and try not to worry about what people think, they don't matter at the moment - you do. Be selfish for once, is my advice.

Haven't posted for a few days as I have been feeling rubbish. I keep asking myself when I am going to start feeling better. Everyone here seems so strong. I am in awe as the last few days I have been really weepy. I am putting it down to AF - it has just made me feel so unpregnant iykwim. Am on holiday from work this week so am going to take it easy and do a few christmas things.

Finally caught up on thread and it seems I am not the only one who feels like a loon. Thinking of the knicker checking corner of the room.

Lcy · 03/12/2007 18:59

Hi everyone

Coolkat- sorry about your mc - i miscarried in August and had two weeks off work and would recommend time off for physical and emotional health!

Sorry that you are having such a hard time Aqua and for the others who are bleeding/spotting.

I hope this isnt insensitive but i have some news and have wanted to post all day - i found out this morning i have a BFP - I am now feeling completely freaked out!

Lcy

Lcy · 03/12/2007 19:02

Sorry teeheelaydee i also wanted to say that although everyone on here seems strong we all had our moments - i have them regularly (poor Dh regularly gets the brunt of my hysterical crying). Enjoy doing your Christmas things x

alittlebitshy · 03/12/2007 19:05

congrats LCY.
was af late or did you do a sneaky test???
yay!!!

sweetkitty · 03/12/2007 19:09

Lcy - brilliant news congratulations now you can come over and be an obsessive knicker checker

teehee - I'm sure everyone on here has their moments, before I had the mc I would have never believed it could affect me the way it did, it was such a shock, keep visiting even if it's just to write down your thoughts it really helped me

grinningbee - hope the CBFM works for you I have heard they are really good

aquababe · 03/12/2007 19:12

ok so just got back from hospital
lovely on call gynie who explained things clearly my dh understands it all. I'm nearly there (heads very fuzzy)
seems cervix is still closed so there's still a chance. he didn't seem to think I'd bleed excessively (sp?) so that was positive Couldn't explain pains, but said it was possible to experience pains and still go on to have healthy pregnancy. taken bloods so got to go back on wednesday so as long as nothings been encouraged, I should know whats happening after then.

truth is still not very positive. going to stay at mumns house so I can get rest and have someone there should the worst happen

big congrats lcy
