Your service has been interrupted as your normal bus driver has connectivity issues. Just as well there's a driver out there who's done the route as cover before...! As ever, apologies if I've got any of it wrong!

Here is the bus where anything goes, and chat isn’t just TTC it’s anything. Ranting very much encouraged to her things off your (are they sore boobs?!) chest. The last bus had loads of work promotions too & we’ve still got interviews so hopefully it’s a lucky bus in more ways than just making babies.

We are here to help and support each other & anything goes. We’ve had losses, heartache & some super fertile short ride passengers so welcome all.

The price of your bus pass is an embarrassing story please, doesn’t have to go be TTC related but can you beat breaking a guy’s banjo in a BJ or whilst DTD?! 🤞🏻🙌🏻

And if you see mention of minster's blog then blame the ladies on the thread but @minster2012 needs to carry on with it it, I’ve been lazy! #shamelessplug

@kaylsd brilliant news, what a positive appt! I also have a friend who conceived very quickly once on metformin so fingers crossed that will be the case for you!

@Franklydear yay for ds that's fantastic! A sleepover!!

@Vil10 you are a bloody lovely friend and I so so hope your time will come soon xx

@Juno231 Yeh that's bizarre clearly people on your Facebook don't know you that well! 🤦🏼‍♀️

@paintfairy god you are having the most annoying ride!! So frustrating you're literally having to advocate for yourself constantly!

So a shit day here, OH had a positive lateral flow (he's had one jab) so I had to collect DD and come home from work, we are now all isolating and he went to bed poorly with no dinner!
So fed up and SO angry with the world! 😭

Justanothercyster · 28/07/2021 20:08

@Franklydear yeah in our school (secondary) the senco does screening, then gets the Ed psych in if needed for diagnosis. So frustrating when they won't pull their finger out for you!
And yay for sleepover invite!

@kaylsd that's amazing progress! I have pcos and it's such a relief when they finally diagnose. I'm so glad there's a course of action for you x

Justanothercyster · 28/07/2021 20:09

@blackcurrantqueen oh no! I hope you don't get it and that dh feels better soon. Is he double vaxxed? Hopefully won't be as bad if he is x

Franklydear · 28/07/2021 20:21

@blackcurrantqueen @Justanothercyster it’s the first one ever! The parents said he was so good today, I am in shock, also in cloudland, the last few weeks we had positive after positive comments for him, from everyone, I know I am always moaning about the advocacy but look at this results, we are raising a decent human!
@blackcurrantqueen that’s pants, it really is, hope he gets a milder case and the rest of the family keep ok
@Somatronic af is also pants, prescription of chocolate and tipple of your choice

I stupidly decided to do an internet cheapy today, as I had a 3 hour hold without a drink just by chance, with af due on Sunday and I think I ovulated late this cycle you won’t be surprised to find a bfn, I don’t know what came over me🤷🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

feliznavidad2 · 28/07/2021 20:42

Catching up as have been rubbish recently and you've all been so lovely and helpful today with my questions about blood tests blah blah.

GP said they can apparently make sense of the bloods even from the 21 day blood test but I can do my progesterone blood test at cycle day 21 and then rebook other bloods for the beginning of next cycle if I want?!? Not sure now...

@blackcurrantqueen I'm so sorry to hear that, hope your husband is ok and feels better soon. Fingers crossed you're alright too.

That sounds such a positive appointment @kaylsd (!) yes, how long did the appointment take to come through?

@Kirky658 endo solidarity 👊 ❤️ and your pregnant melon nightie made me smile!

Hello @Laurenxx94 lovely to 'meet' you - fellow spotter. In a weird way, it's nice to know someone else is in the same boat. Have you had any bloods done? Did they show anything?

Thanks @Minster2012 for the support - you're lovely!

@Franklydear loving the banana freezing tip - thanking kindly. We've all been there with the bloody IC luring us in... Finally really lovely news about the sleep over invite! X

kaylsd · 28/07/2021 20:47

@minster2012 thank you sweetheart! I felt like all of a sudden we went from 0Mph to national speed limit and then some on that appointment 🤣 I’ve not heard of the tomato supplements? Hubs is on proxceed he’s been taking it for 2 month but I’m always open for new insights if it can help his little Homer Simpson sperm bumping heads 🤣🤣🤣🙈 if the metformin works I might have to consider tracking a cycle again, what’s a normal cycle again I think I’ve forgot 🤔 🤣🤣🤣

@kirky658 that’s amazing to hear I’ve not heard of metformin being used as a first line treatment in PCOS than the ovulation inducing drugs like clomid so I was really narrow minded and just thought it was for diabetics 🤔 but hey ho! I’ll take anything 💁🏼‍♀️💁🏼‍♀️💁🏼‍♀️

@larrythelizard that’s so right hunny anything is better than nothing, the consultant looked a little bit sharpish when I told him my last AF was 3rd of may 🙃 least I have abit of structure now and abit of hope for the TTC life once again!

@somatronic any things to be cautious about with metformin? Do you track your blood sugar? I’m cautious to think it’ll drop mine low I know to take with food but still! I’ve also heard it gives people the runs.. oh the joys ahead!

@laurenxx94 @feliznavidad2
we was referred in may and had the appointment today for the end of July :) we chose our own clinic through this code on this letter where we choose e referral to which clinic we found closest & with least waiting time, ours was a 27 week waiting list for 9/10 starting treatment which was surprisingly the shortest in the area and closest at 10 mile away!

@bez91 thank you darling it’s been an long overdue appointment to start things back up again for the TTC life! I’m looking forward to symptom spotting once again it’s been too long and baby dancing on demand ;)

@justanothercsyster it actually felt like a weight was lifted on my shoulder as when I first was trying to get a diagnosis and getting dismissed with the GPS it was nice to be finally listened to and actually on a treatment path for it all all for the main outcome hopefully for a little bub! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻❤️

Thank you so much ladies for your support I’d be lost without this online sisterhood 🥺❤️ here's to the first night of metformin tonight for the week, hubs said he's gonna buy extra toilet roll incase 💩 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Kirky658 · 28/07/2021 20:55

@blackcurrantqueen sorry you've all god to self isolate, totally shitty, hope DH feels better soon too!

@feliznavidad2 I aim to make people smile 😂 I have to say one of the best things about being pregnant has been the lack of periods = very little endo symptoms thank god. Dreading the first period again!

@kaylsd it's actually so interesting, I'm such a nerd. Because diabetes comes from hormone issues from the thyroid, as does pcos, it can be used for that too. So cool!

Vil10 · 28/07/2021 20:58

@Kirky658 I mean that's definitely understandable😂 aww why is it things like that are so cute and diddy!! I also love new borns coming home from hospital in white!

@becarefuloutthere funny isn't it being at the gp and nobody knowing what you're going on about!! Thankyou!!

@kaylsd what an amazing outcome for an appointment!! So glad it went so well for you!!

@Minster2012 I did that hamper when she was 14 weeks, she's now 33 weeks!! Ohhh hand hold from me to you❤️it's shit isn't it!

@Somatronic so sorry af got you, and I know what you mean, I can never ever imagine having that positive test! Sending hugs x

@Franklydear lovely for your DS!!x

@blackcurrantqueen aw Thankyou!! It will do eventually, I just need to be patient I guess! Ohhhh no, what a nightmare!! Is he okay??x

Somatronic · 28/07/2021 21:07

@kaylsd I don't think you need to worry about blood sugar at all. It doesn't work the same way as other diabetes drugs so you don't have to worry about that.

I had bloods done just as part of general health tests twice in the last few years and was always told I was "very not diabetic" so to be honest I'm not sure that my PCOS is caused by insulin resistance but I don't understand PCOS enough to comment really. My endocrinologist put me on it and I trust her with my life so I'm going to presume she knows best here.

I think the reason you're told to take it with food is because of the stomach issues, rather than blood sugar.

I'm not going to lie my stomach was in bits from it. Absolutely horrendous. I've been on the higher dose for maybe 3 months now and I only came right a few weeks ago. That being said, I was unwell last week several times after taking a dose.

My advice would be to eat healthily. When I eat too many carbs or too much rubbish it makes me so sick. By sick I mean nausea, severe diarrhoea and very bad bloating.

Some people get no sickness from it though! I have a delicate tummy anyway and any kind of rich food makes me sick so I'm probably an extreme case.

bez91 · 28/07/2021 21:24

Ahh that's fab news for DS @Franklydear super mama 💪🏼

@Juno231 wow your boss is a bitch, surely you can take your leave when you want, it's not unreasonable if you want to tag that on the end of your employment with them. I'd tell her not ask 🙈

@larrythelizard are you on gardening leave yet?

@blackcurrantqueen what a shitter arggggh not what you need. Hope DH feels better soon that's not good and you and DD manage to avoid it 🤞🏼 Viruses alone are rife atm, this week I've had 3 separate messages from DDs nursery, multiple confirmed cases of chickenpox, hand foot and mouth, rsv bronchiolitis 🤦🏼‍♀️. Throw covid in the mix it's a nightmare with various symptoms. Had to collect her today because she was sick.

Thanks for the advice yesterday ladies on the pending chat at work; seeing her tomorrow. I'll wait to see how it goes before sharing all with her. Also about 8dpo here got a funny tummy 🥴

Laurenxx94 · 28/07/2021 23:10

@feliznavidad2 hey!
So I got day 21 bloods done the month I conceived (ended in chemical) they showed progesterone of 21 could of maybe been a day or 2 out but I'm convinced it's because of my lower side progesterone I had a miscarriage
Got them repeated last month and showed 43 which has went up double but still on the low side.
I genuinely have a gut feeling it's low progesterone that's causing the spotting.
I've been referred to gynaecologist but said I need to meet a criteria so not sure I will. I have had 3 miscarriage 2 before my daughter and 1 now. My doctor said she will push for it she's so lovely and supportive but doesn't obviously specialise in this so not much more she can really do which j understand . What about you? Have you had tests xx

larrythelizard · 28/07/2021 23:53

Oh no @blackcurrantqueen are you jabbed?? Hope it's mild for him and that he manages to keep it to himself 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 also hoping you have a garden and that helps with DD.

From the end of the week @bez91 - on holiday next week and then not going back. It's SO weird!! I've got quite the list going of stuff to get done whilst im off. A lot of which contains coffee and cake!

OP posts:
blackcurrantqueen · 29/07/2021 06:26

@larrythelizard @Justanothercyster yes I am double jabbed since April because of work, he has only had one!
I'm really hoping I manage to avoid it and the same for DD.

@Vil10 he's actually not very well he went to bed at the same time as DD last night without dinner and he had a temperature too! He's coughing now as well!

Going to make myself a meal plan and a poster of ideas of things to do with DD today, any ideas ladies please throw them in my direction! 😂

@bez91 let us know how the chat at work goes, you've got this 💪🏼💕

Minster2012 · 29/07/2021 07:21

@bez91 good luck with the chat!

@blackcurrantqueen hmmmm will have a think

Franklydear · 29/07/2021 07:22

@blackcurrantqueen the butterfly count has an app, or you can print the page is she prefers to hold it

feliznavidad2 · 29/07/2021 07:31

@blackcurrantqueen OH and I had it in November before jabs were available and were pretty rough but ok. 4 year old didn't get it somehow, despite being in bed with us etc as normal. Such a weird virus.

For ideas to do: cosmic kids yoga on YouTube is amazing, feeding the birds in the garden bread and watching what they do (that sounds really boring but you know, haha), making cards for family/friends... how old is Dd? Will have more of a think.

Amy00 · 29/07/2021 07:33

Hi everyone, hope you are all ok. I'm 13 days post (5th) miscarriage and have stopped bleeding, feeling a lot more myself and accepting of the situation. We've booked ourselves in privately at Dr Shetata's clinic in Epsom for tests in September, there is clearly something wrong and NHS tests came back all clear so taking matters into our own hands and chucking money at the problem - it's going to cost in the region of £5k 😬

I'm writing this quickly (and haven't had time to catch up on the last 13 days since I was having a mn break - so sorry I will try and go back and see what I've missed ASAP!) as I would really appreciate your views on a crisis I am having with our building project - I have actually made a separate post about it on Mumsnet (!!!) at 5am when I couldn't sleep worrying about it, you are my people and I need your advice. The link is below - please let me know what you think either here or on that thread (I'll be showing my OH the other thread).

Breach of contract www.mumsnet.com/Talk/property/4308914-breach-of-contract

Franklydear · 29/07/2021 07:47

@blackcurrantqueen a friend of ours had it a couple of weeks ago, had been camping with family and friends, nobody else got it, including her toddler, she’s a nurse, must have got it at work

Juno231 · 29/07/2021 10:12

@bez91 @minster2012 Unfortunately she's got every right to deny my leave and have the company pay it out instead. I can't just tell her either as it's via an HR system so she could just decline my request. No sane person normally does this as they realise I'd have no reason to actually work during that time out of spite - however my boss seems to be completely oblivious to this!

@amy00 omg I read your post and you do NOT need this extra crap in your life. I have zero experience with building but I would be just as unhappy as you and would be demanding it to be rectified as well :/ I'm happy you've gotten an appointment for further investigations btw - it always baffles me they otherwise don't look at things like NK cells, bacterial flora etc.

@blackcurrantqueen I'm sorry OH got the rona! How long will you have to isolate for - I keep losing track of the rules changing.

I had my second jab yesterday and was struggling with fever and chills all night. Still had 38.2C fever this morning but am hoping I'll get over it in time for tonight's anniversary dinner lol.

Franklydear · 29/07/2021 10:18

Traffic us horrible but managed to deliver the boy just about in time ish, my reward? iced coffee, gotta be an hour on the road anyway, and I needed the loo
@Juno231 you would be a fool to do your best, minimum work only
@Amy00 that needs rectifying now, I hate builders, good on the investigations though

Juno231 · 29/07/2021 10:21

@Franklydear and I forgot to say how fantastic that DS has been invited for a sleepover! Is the friend autistic as well? Just wondering if the parents will be well equipped to handle anything that may crop up. What will you do on your night off? Grin

Somatronic · 29/07/2021 10:24

@blackcurrantqueen hope your OH is OK and that the rest of you aren't affected. My friend's daughter was diagnosed recently and none of her siblings or parents got it so far anyway thank God.

I got my hycosy booked! I'm delighted cos it means that I won't have to push back my next fertility appointment. So having that done on Tuesday. Also, I messed up my dates so thankfully I won't have to clone myself in order to get my second Covid jab because that's on Monday (17 days after my first one!) so we're all covered.

Franklydear · 29/07/2021 10:28

@Juno231 his friend is autistic, there is a third friend invited , not autistic, and they have two more kids, so a house full! They are literally round the corner and I think ds will cope well knowing he could come home if he wanted, how much sleep they are going to get I don't know 😂 depends on the night if DH works, sleep, and if possible we might go for dinner to a not child friendly place, image that!,ps: the dad is a big kid and they have a be set for videogames, funny enough I worked with him pre kids, so I know they're decent people

Franklydear · 29/07/2021 10:30

A vr set, that makes more sense

The workers in this coffee shop are soo noted that they are timing how long it takes them to go to the toilet 🤣

Franklydear · 29/07/2021 10:32

Oh god what's with autocorrect! Bored they are bored 🙄
