@thislittlebird sorry to hear it’s all getting a bit much, it’s hard and it’s a lot to take in. Not forgetting the fact that deep down you wish you’d not got to this point, just take your time as much as possible and lean on your husband for support x

7 weeks today, ttc 18 months, bfp after first ivf round and transfer of only surviving embryo, crapping myself on the daily, the anxiety is next-level x

@polejunkie you must have a scan with the clinic next week then? Everything crossed that yours is a magic bean, and stickier than a sticky thing that fell in a glue pot!

@Sunbird24 thanks so much, it’s Friday this week 😬 nervous is an understatement! Have you got any symptoms, how are you feeling? It’s been a long wait getting to this point, right! X

Oh I’m so pleased you don’t have long to wait! Mine is on Tuesday, I’m so tired and keep getting that kind of sick feeling you get when you’ve either eaten too much or are really hungry..,
My friend who was pregnant at the same time as me and miscarried a couple of weeks after me earlier in the year has just announced she’s 9 weeks pregnant, so I’m really happy for her and hoping I can also share good news soon. It would be funny that I was due 2 weeks before her in November and then I’d be due 3 weeks after her in March!

@Sunbird24 mental - my friend actually knew I was going through IVF and I therefore told her the outcome, she literally just told me she’s 9 days behind me!! I mean crazy!! How! Still, lovely news just hope it works out all round, fingers crossed you’ll have some news to share soon!! Must be hard to keep quiet. I too have the nauseous feeling, did you have that previously? I can barely find anything I want to eat 😩 x

I really empathise @thislittlebird I've been taking pregnancy tests for 3 days now and I can see a barely there squinter! But it's not getting any darker . . . So I think I'm just kidding myself and feeling so disappointed about not getting the pre-IVF miracle I was hoping for . . . So hopeful. I tested partly because I thought I best do that before starting the medication just in case and am now just so sad about it. I will continue to test until AF is here just to make sure before I start the medication. I've never been one for testing but thought I should this time.

@MIW01 did you test again this morning? You must be due to start the meds soon.

It really sucks. We can try after sep 12 for a few days and that’s our last chance pre-ivf. Barely worth it but I guess I will give it a go.

I watched the risks of egg collection, of pregnancy and birth through ivf, increased chances of certain conditions and just felt devastated that this is my lot.

@thislittlebird did you start on the progesterone btw?
@MIW01 I know that feeling, I was disappointed too but ivf is an amazing intervention that can work, keep that in mind going forward.
@Sunbird24 my scan is Wednesday next week so it'll be a busy week next week!

@becarefuloutthere no, because we can’t try for two months because I’m having the MMR. Might from mid September but not sure when you’re supposed to take it from because I haven’t researched that yet.

Thanks for the reassurance @becarefuloutthere - I know it was the little extra helping hand you needed and worked beautifully! How are you getting on BTW?

@thislittlebird yes tested again this morning an no change. Still this very pale barely there mark that doesn't even show up in a photo so am assuming BFN again. 2 more tests to do then if no change hoping AF arrives on Thursday ready to start on Friday. Meds being delivered tomorrow.

@MIW01 I can’t remember, have you had any bfps or chemicals before?

I find it all so distracting. My job has downtime in august, but I’m worried about how distracted I’ll be come September when work is busier again.

@thislittlebird I started the progesterone the day of my embryo transfer if that helps? They gave me enough for the TWW to start with, then once I let them know I had a BFP they sent enough to get me to 8 weeks when my scan is. No idea if I get more if it’s good news, only that I stop if it’s not 🤞

@thislittlebird ok makes sense. See if you can talk to a consultant before you start on it. It's to take during your luteal phase.
@MIW01 exactly that! Good thanks, 11 weeks today so just eagerly awaiting next week now! Nausea has eased recently but still get flair ups! Exciting that meds are coming, it's good to get started tbh, gives you a new focus and it's nice to know it's in the hands of someone else so to speak.

@Sunbird24 you won't get more after the viability scan, I was told to stop after the scan so didn't take any that night.

Afternoon everyone. My bloods today still look good, hcg 312 now and progesterone still 88. My thyroid is a bit high so I need to start medication for that. I just want to fast forward to the first scan to properly set my mind at rest!

@thislittlebird never seen anything that resembles a line before so this is a 1st for me! But in someways makes it all the more heartbreaking. I lost my job officially on the 13th July but been signed off as unfit to work since 9th June. I am appealing the employer for disability discrimination and raising grievance against managers who made defamatory and untrue accusations against my character, so that's joyful! Finances are at the back of my mind as now I won't have any maternity leave or 2nd income to support future child but can't afford to put off having a family any longer. Honestly I don't think anyone could make up how much of a disaster this is for us! Just booked in some mental health therapy sessions with BUPA.

@Sjhigs @Sunbird24 @thislittlebird are your first scans 8 weeks? I'm due to have my first at 6 weeks, but that's because we are paying for enhanced monitoring. How are you all feeling? I've not got any sickness yet but a kind of constant dull headache and I can definitely feel something going on in my tummy, also boobs are very heavy and a bit sore. I want more symptoms to help me believe its real, but I'm only 4+2!

@Motherofkittens28 all sounding good tho! So first scan in two weeks then, that's good it's sooner, I had to wait 3 weeks which felt like torture at the time but this current 4 week wait is even worse 😩 here's hoping all comes good of it! 🤞🏾

@Motherofkittens28 il be 7+2 I haven't had a lot of symptoms they've came and gone I'm really nervous about my scan I'm really worried that something has went wrong just with lack of symptoms hoping I'm just one of the lucky ones x

7+6 for me. Last time I booked an early scan for 6+5 and saw a heartbeat but bean was only measuring 6+1 and there’s obviously no wiggle room on dates with IVF. My clinic scan was on 8+1, but a few days before it a little thought randomly popped into my head “I’m not pregnant any more”, clear as if somebody had said it to my face. It was right, but that meant it was less upsetting when the nurse said so as I already knew.
Nothing like that so far this time!
