@Sunbird24 oh my god that's awful! I'm so sorry. I started off all super confident that everything would be fine but I'm getting more nervous I think. I guess it's best to try and forget about it

@Motherofkittens28 it’s ok, I subscribe to the ‘expect the worst, hope for the best’ philosophy - whatever is meant to be will be.

Don't panic @MIW01 and give yourself plenty of time start setting up about half hr before and leave it till you're ready you'll be a pro by the end of it 🙌 x

@MIW01 I bought a box to go in the fridge but it turned out too big to fit on my shelf so I kept the room temp stuff in there and left it on my table and then everything else went in the fridge. I was excited to get started tbh! You'll be fine 😊

@MIW01 it is overwhelming but you’ll only need bits of it at the start and by the time you’re using all of it you’ll be a pro, I felt excited too in all fairness, excited but overwhelmed. I also felt like it was all quite impersonal, just a box of drugs delivered to my door without really know what I was doing, I blame covid for that (lack of face to face appts etc.)
If you can try and focus on where the meds may lead you you’ll be fine - how you’re feeling is perfectly natural x

Feeling very let down by nhs, over 2 years since ttc, no talks of ivf, super delayed endo surgery not even booked and literally feel forgotten about.

Oh and bfn and spotting started this morning at 11/12dpo 🙄

@Annny27 same re the nhs. I’m really hoping the private rounds I’m buying soon work. I can’t wait for them, it’s been over a year since investigations started for us and we’ve got nowhere. Any progress made has been private.

I went on a run today for the first time in months. I need to keep it up now, have about 8 weeks to get a bit fitter and get into the healthy bmi. Bmi is currently 26.1 so at the very least I’d like to get it back to

Sorry to hear ththa@Annny27 we very much empathise with this, the journey so far has not been great. We do appreciate things are now moving forward but it should have happened over 2 years ago when we 1st told the GP of our concerns!

@thislittlebird my understanding is I take Menopur to start stimulating the ovaries. The Fenrymedal suppresses ovulation, the gonadotrophins trigger the ovulation for egg collection and the cyclones is progesterone to support implantation and keeping the pregnancy. I will need to check all this again but I think that's it!

You should be able to set alarms on your phone for the timings, and if you haven’t got videos from your clinic on how to do the injections you will find some on YouTube. Once you’ve done it s couple of times you’ll be wondering what you were worried about!

@thislittlebird I'm doing the same atm - trying to get my BMI down below 25 and then carrying on for as much as I can until IVF gets going. Started filling out my funding application today. Just need to print some stuff out tomorrow as well (proof of settle status, passport copes, bank statements etc). Will post it on Monday to eke out the process a bit. The paperwork does say that once approved I have to start it within 6 months so that's ideal, I might try and manoeuvre for a Jan start date perhaps.

I don’t know if it’s at all scientific, but I’ve always felt like the extra belly fat I gained in lockdown last year was useful for sticking needles in!

@MIW01 so exciting that your meds have arrived! First of all, I went through everything to check I had all the right amounts of drugs/needles etc and then kept out the initial drugs and needles and a sharpie box for down regulating and left everything else in the box out of the way so it wasn’t there distracting me. Just focus on one bit at a time, so ignore the stims bit for now until you’ve got your head around the down regs drugs. You’ll be fine! What day are you starting?

@MIW01 ooh and as @Sunbird24 says definitely set alarms for doing the injections! There were several days when I would have completely forgotten if it hadn’t been for my phone alarm going off!!
