@crazycatlady1981 I've actually set up a Jan IVF thread in the infertility forum cause I figured there will be quite a few of us with Dec closures!

My latest thing to worry about is auto immune reasons for my infertility and the docs not having considered it for IVF 😂.

@Marvellouslymadmum is it worth thinking about some private investigation? You seem to be just getting fobbed off and it's not right! Surely not being able to visualise your ovaries is a concern and something to be investigated! Also the rubbish about you having had children before so not investigating, so much can change over time! All my endo had grown back between my first lap in 2007 and my one this year, one point in time is never the whole picture! I'm so frustrated for you.

@Motherofkittens28 yeah, agree with this. If you can @Marvellouslymadmum get a private consult and tell them all the endo/adeno evidence and ask them to write in support of your lap. They wrote a letter for me in support of us qualifying for IVF.

I have to go for a scan tomorrow. I’m at the end of my tether with scans, and more scans followed by progesterone and BFNs. Looking forward to a break tbh, we’re in the Mendips and then Cornwall for just over a week for the husband’s 40th in a couple of weeks, and then it’ll be Christmas, and then we’re off to Edinburgh and beyond in January (all being well). At least I have 8 weeks of stuff to occupy myself with that isn’t entirely TTC. No Letrozole after this cycle, i’ll be triggered in a few days. So it’s probably our last chance naturally, but I feel like I need a month off at least.

@Juno231 I think it's madness that they don't check for things before blinding going ahead with a 5k ivf cycle. They only look into it when you've already wasted 10k!

I'm seriously considering it to be honest, it is totally frustrating and I feel like they're just happy to put it all down to my age because that's easier and means they don't have to do much! I think I'll get these rounds of clomid done and that'll take us into January and I'll get follow up from the consultant then if no help lap wise contact someone about some investigations. I know I can't afford to wait time wise but also feel like I may aswell do the clomid just in case it works and I doubt I'd get much done before Christmas anyway.

@thislittlebird sounds like you should be suitably distracted for the next couple of months ☺️

@paintfairy it's not fun waiting for the call but you have an excellent chance, just try to focus on that. For me they said they'd only phone to tell me not to come so I was terrified all morning that the phone was going to ring!

@Marvellouslymadmum yeah, give the clomid a shot and then take it from there. At least you have a plan of action.

I’m so over all of this scanning and commuting to the clinic and stuff for the last three months. Just want a rest from it for a bit. And as predicted today was way too early and I definitely didn’t need to go for a scan, so now I have to go again on Monday. I told them this, they didn’t listen. Oh well, the last medicated cycle is nearly done.

@becarefuloutthere literally got no sleep! Also had a migraine at tea time and ended up lying down for a while. Not helpful.

So, my clinic experience was mixed. I think no one likes working Saturdays? The nurse was nice. But the theatre nurse needed work on her bedside manner and friendliness. The consultant wasn't much better. Firstly wanted to know if I'm wetting myself and if I'm not i need to drink more. I felt like I'd had enough and it's always a fine line for me and was stressing me. I also queried my progesterone levels (being they say mine are low naturally) and if they'll check, and they just make you feel stupid? 🤷‍♀️ But no they won't check.
When the embryologist rang this morning, DH took the piss saying why couldn't I understand what he said on the phone. Partly you are overwhelmed but also it was hard to hear him. But it was the same one when we got there, so I was wondering to myself if he realised that, or what was said. 🤣 And he did realise, and didn't hear. But basically the lead embryo had improved from this morning, the grading i don't understand, I think he said 2.2. The others (still no idea how many others there are, at least 2) will be checked again later/tomorrow and frozen if suitable. I'll get an update tomorrow on the portal so then it should make more sense. It went in all fine and we have photos! I'll take a pic of them actually. Which is why the insta thing is annoying. I might make a new one. Oh and I've had my McDonald's fries! To which DH said he wasn't sure how comfortable he was that this would be a babies first meal. 🤣

@paintfairy bless you babe but yay to being PUPO!! When's otd then? My experience wasn't good either due to dying for a no2 as well as no1 🙈 and it was also a Saturday so Skelton staff who were running late n giving no updates! Dh was getting mad on my behalf. But great that you got it done and you have ones waiting in the wings! I hope you get the clarity over them. I hope you told Dh that McDonald's chips are a staple part of any embryos diet 😆

@becarefuloutthere I had a number 2 before going. I get so nervous I can't not. But then I knew I wouldn't be able to go again without weeing so was hoping that was it! They were on time but didn't seem to want to be there. 🤣 And yes only minimal staff. Having looked it seems I'm at one of the few clinics that do a full 2ww?! Definitely think I'll cave 2 days before that at least. No need for that surely? 🤣

@paintfairy my clinic gives an OTD 14dp5dt too - I’ve never waited that long!
I’ve got a telephone consultation tomorrow morning, but I’ve decided I’m just going to try again, maybe with 1 this time, and given the nurse the heads up as af is due in the next couple of days. It’s kind of an odd day today as it’s my second missed due date, but I feel ok. Think my brain is getting better at focussing on the things I can control…

@Sunbird24 I think that's all you can do. There's no point in focusing on what you can't. I know it's hard though. 14 days is ridiculous I'm sure. Maybe I ought to buy some tests?

I've had my update today. Only 1 suitable for freezing. Whilst I had hoped for 2 (there were only 3 decent ones out of 5) I think I should be grateful for one. Age really isn't helping me out here but I'm grateful we will get one more go. What will be will be.

Don’t buy tests till next week to save from doing them way too early and stressing yourself. Think the soonest I got a squinter was day 9, but that was with twins

@Sunbird24 that's why I haven't before now. 🤣 I was going to order online though, probably cheaper.

@paintfairy I'd advise waiting as long as possible to test. If you do it too early and its negative you feel sad but you still hope so either you end up feeling sad for no reason as its positive layer or you have to go through the sadness twice. Either way too much sadness is possible and we've all been through quite enough of that!

@Motherofkittens28 no i know exactly what you mean! I won't do it too early. I also think I prefer not knowing sometimes!

@paintfairy great to hear you are pupo!! Mine were both grade 2.2 as well which the embryologist said was good and that it was rare that anyone gets a 1.1!! Are you with Care fertility too? I had a full 2ww but tested at 11dpo with a FRER and then used clinic test on OTD.
