I can't believe I'm getting to post this, after two+ years of very routine sex, PO(many)S, and gubbing vitamins every day.
I got my first ever faint line this morning. Sensible head says I need to test in a few days to make sure it gets stronger, but I'm just so happy to see something other than a bright white window!

Sorry for being off thread for a while! TTC forum detox was required.

@MIW01 yeah it was a bit insensitive, although I know she meant well by it and was trying to come up with alternative solutions to our issues! I don’t think she realises that adoption is possibly an even harder process than ivf!! We are very much in the camp of having a biological child or no child anyway so if ivf doesn’t work, we’ll just stay as a family of 2 (plus a thousand rescue animals!!) x

@annny27 here you go! A cheapie Sainsbury's one, so I'll need to get the big guns tomorrow/at the weekend to make sure! We're trying to be realistic and not get too excited, but this is the first BFP we have had since trying, so its difficult!

@annny27 15DPO, managed to hold on to the wise donkey wisdom of not testing early so waited until my period was due.

Symptom wise, probably less unusual ones than I usually feel/Google obsessively. So its sore boobs/nipples, some cramps but not as long lasting as usual PMS cramps, few pinching feelings on my right right. Of course now I've done a test, I've felt queasy but that might just be mental 😂

One of the big steps before getting IVF was having my MMR jab (parents were secret anti-vax when I was a child, didn't know this until I had to get proof of vaccine to show the GP for referral). Various slow downs (me wanting to get my two Pfizer jabs/the GP sourcing MMR etc) meant I finally got the jab...this month. Typical. Although after reading the NHS site has helped with any initial worries about the risks of having it in early pregnancy.

Hi All - im back and had a name change (I was CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker).

Happy to report that our first FET was successful and I'm 6 weeks pregnant 🤰🏻 first scan tomorrow so holding my breath for that. Hardly any symptoms which is always a worry 🤞🤞

Good luck to the other FET-ers, you got this. I was really daunted by the proceedure and 2ww but it actually it went by quite quickly so don't worry.
I'm here if you have any questions and MY GOD I hate these pessaries...😏😏

Good luck with your FET, I feel so positive for you!
I opted for a medicated cycle so the clinic could control my cycle, but all the medication really isn't fun..obviously I'm just happy it worked though! Good luck tomorrow, dont do what I did and nearly wet myself during the transfer! It wasn't the magical moment it shouldve been 😆... But on the upside the embryolist was impressed with my pelvic floor muscles!! Xx

@Tofu35 congratulations! I'd say that was a definite line, stronger than my first bfp line was and I am nearly 12 weeks now.

Congrats @Tofu35 and @5DollarShakes! We're just waiting for confirmation of ivf funding for cycle dec/jan, spoke to manager about dropping to 24 hours too.
Just increased metformin again to twice a day (hello dodgy gut!) Another round of letrozole to start tomorrow on cd 3 (more side effects), inofolic alpha sachets twice a day....I'm rattling with tablets now....the things we try!
I am just really not feeling optimistic about the letrozole as they've said we need icsi.....if the sperm can't even find an egg in a petri dish on their own really can't see how they'll get all the way up to my tubes successfully.....suppose its worth trying everything in meantime but OH count varies wildly, only 2-4% morphology and 30 % motility 😔

So nice to see some positives and fingers crossed for the rest of us!

@kerrym87 what Letrozole dosage were you on? I had zero side effects on either Letrozole, the trigger injection or the progesterone. I just finished my first cycle and got a bfn today but they want me to test again on Sunday too, so I have to keep up the progesterone. We have the same sperm issue, I don’t think his sperm are getting where they need to be (SA has varied from 9-24% motility iirc) but we’ll probably try one more IO cycle with our private clinic before IVF.
