@Marvellouslymadmum I'm OK after my freakout, need to have em thats the way I roll!😂 started on metformin for insulin resistance and its like have major laxatives, man alive you'd think ! Demon was in there trying to fight it way out! Need to get up to 3 a day! Just thinking about why I'm doing it and dose up on buscopan.

@Marvellouslymadmum yeah very true. I think we might be settled on a name now too but will wait until 20 week scan to make sure it really is a girl lol! Hope the appointment goes well n clomid does the trick for you!

@kerrym87 I think we all need a bit of a meltdown every now and then and once it's done we can take a deep breath and steady ourselves again! Glad you're feeling better but not so glad on the laxative effect of the metformin! We all need a mantra to keep calm - i can do this and it takes me ones step closer to my dreams coming true 😍

@becarefuloutthere I know what you mean, I had a real fear that my daughter would turn on to be a son when she was born so I literally only bought two girly outfits and the rest were unisex 😂 thank you 😊

Had my surge on Friday night/sat morning, a bit earlier than expected and then ovulated yesterday I think as I had a big temp rise, so i’ve had my transfer booked for this Friday!! Eeeeeeek!!! I can’t decide if I’m excited or just terrified that it will all go wrong!! At least I’ve got the weekend to relax a bit for a few days afterwards rather than being full on at work straight after like last time!! 😊

@kerrym87 I'm on 2000mg metformin and your body does eventually get used to it.

Had my follow up call with fertility clinic which was hard hearing I have the reproductive system of a 45 year old, even though I knew that in my head it was hard to hear it out loud said by the consultant. Apparently our blastocyst was BB grade. I decided to order DHEA to try as well as ALA and Vitamin E. Fiancée's SA improved from 4% to 6% morphology so that's good and he is getting his Varicocele repaired tomorrow. This means we are waiting until January to try next round of IVF.

@MIW01 that is difficult to hear, but hopefully they gave you some advice. Great that your fiancé’s morphology has improved! Hope everything goes well with his repair tomorrow. Are you taking coq10 as well? I’ve upped mine since my last ivf round and I’m taking 600mg now in the hope that it helps my egg quality (if our fet fails and we have to do another round)

@crazycatlady1981 spending a fortune on ubiquitous 600 mg daily! Started that a couple of months ago, before that was on standard dose CoQ10. Everyone keeps advising, "jist relax, don't worry about it, it will happen," which is really unhelpful after circa 3 years of this! Fiancée going through pre-assessment as we speak.

@miw01 wow I hope you give those people the stink eye. Toxic positivity is so sh*t.

Can I ask what brand ubiquinol you ladies (@crazycatlady1981)are taking? I just use the vesisorb one from amazon but am always doubting myself. I've only just upped my intake to 200mg lol as I've been too cheap even for that in the past but figured I should try ahead of IVF.

I got vegan ubiquinol from Healthspan, me and DH are on 200mg per day.

@Juno231 Thanks!! Feeling kind of excited too!! 😬 I get this one from Amazon. It’s 300mg per tablet which I’ve been taking for over a year now and I’ve just upped to 2 tablets a day as I’m throwing everything at it now!!

@MIW01 so annoying the things people come out with!! I’d rather they just didn’t say anything at all!! The worst is when my one of my friends says to me ‘why don’t you just adopt’ as if it’s as easy as just popping to the supermarket and picking up a baby!! 😡

@crazycatlady1981 that's so insensitive! 1) adopting is nothing like going through the process of conceiving, growing your own child inside you and delivering it 2) it is really bloody difficult to adopt! Friends of ours tried for 3 years without success and eventually gave up and had 3 rounds of IVF to get their baby (now 6 months old). Perhaps tell them that next time they say it!
