@crazycatlady1981 I did my first FET all natural, but had progesterone for my second.

@MIW01 I feel so broken already and we haven't even started ivf yet.....had first ivf appt for funding forms and consent, explaining it all etc. I had a reasonable idea of what would happen but OH sperm varies widely I count from 1-13mil/ml with only 2% morphology and 30%motility so gona have to freeze a sample before egg collection day too. Sperm is badly affected by stress and he's got an arsehole colleague who is causing so much anxiety in him and still waiting for any MH support 3 months later.
I'm worried about work although they said they'll plan really well and I'll talk to my manager but its shift work in charge of shift ( ee also have staffing issues) and I'll be having bloods Mon wed fri, scans etc daily multiple injections, same as all you guys have had. It's just more stressful in this role right now and some colleagues are a little rude when only 3 months in you're not perfect and don't know everything....🤷‍♀️
I knew it wasnt a very high success rate for ivf too (think normal rate for normal pregnancies is only 30%) but with my pcos it's likely to be even less even after all this.
Been started on metformin and told to get another supplement, need to try more letrozole in meantime so will be rattling but with hubby's stress and dodgy swimmers feel very pessimistic.

They said I should get appt with nurses soon but not likely to get ivf cycle started for another 3 months so dec/jan.

How are you feeling, was thinking of you x

crazycatlady1981 · 13/09/2021 15:40

@Juno231 yeah, no scans is normal for natural fet at care apparently! Got my pomegranate juice going on so hopefully I’ll have a lovely thick lining from that like I did with my fresh transfer!

@Sunbird24 did your first fet implant if you don’t mind me asking?

@clolo yeah I should produce it naturally. I had my progesterone blood test last cycle which was 31 and they seemed to think that was ok. But last cycle was unusual in that I didn’t spot until later on so I’m worried my usual progesterone levels might be lower than last cycle and I’d rather not be stressing about my lining breaking down before I get to transfer day!! 😫 Feeling happier about it all now! 😊 x

Sunbird24 · 13/09/2021 15:56

@crazycatlady1981 one of my two embryos did implant on the drug-free transfer, on the transfer with progesterone they both did. Obviously can’t say whether it was the progesterone or the embryos (or my uterus!)

MIW01 · 13/09/2021 22:24

@kerrym87 I'm so sorry to hear it's so tough on you and that DH's result aren't giving much hope.

@Sunbird24 I just read the "biggest mistake of my life thread" hoping it would help me feel better, then just heard another pregnancy announcement and crumbled! So hasn't helped at all! I'm going through the "why me?! It's so unfair" phase atm, angry at everything and everyone about it. I'm sorry you're still waiting for MH support. I've still not got anywhere with my referral I made back in March! I'm now taking antidepressants for my MH and nerve pain as I'm really not coping very well atm. I'm feeling very "meh" about life and everything. I'm doing lots of stuff to try and help, including keeping a gratitude journal but I'm not finding it helpful at all.

MIW01 · 13/09/2021 22:25

So sorry that message went haywire @Sunbird24 @kerrym87

@kerrym87 this part was meant to be tagged for you! "I'm sorry you're still waiting for MH support. I've still not got anywhere with my referral I made back in March! kerrym87 · 14/09/2021 09:34

@MIW01 by law fertility clinic has to offer counselling so that might be a least something to access as other issues also tie into IVF, I've contacted my clinics one and they can see you eve week or how often they can fit you in and up to 2 years after treatment so might be worth a look for you? X I feel very angry as had so much shit in my life and I'd hoped i had some positive karma for all the good works stored up, think I must have been something awful in a former life!😂 acupuncture and meditation/relaxation videos help to some extent as do gentle yoga but it's hard finding what works.
Fingers crossed for all of you too, I'm sorry im so bad keeping up and remembering who said what, mind is total mush!

MIW01 · 14/09/2021 11:18

@kerrym87 I really empathise with what you're saying and I often wonder if it's punishment cause I used to tell people, as a joke, I don't want kids to shut them up going on about it when I wasn't ready, and now it's come back to bite me on the arse! I've arranged counselling through the clinic for both of us to start on 1st October (was soonest they had we can both do). Got follow-up calls from the clinic in the meantime and fiancée is having his varicocele repaired. On top of all this I lost my job and am currently signed off sick. So don't have the finances to continue the accupuncture atm. The sertraline and amitriptyline are doing a job of just knocking me for 6 so I can't do very much at all atm.

Motherofkittens28 · 14/09/2021 18:56

So at my last scan I was told that I had ovulated from the right ovary for this pregnancy. I've checked back and in both ivf cycles I had fewer follicles that side, generally only one collectable vs 2 or 3 collectable on the left. How weird is that?? I had kind of given up on my right side! Just goes to show you never really know and never give up! xx

MIW01 · 16/09/2021 09:48

That's interesting @Motherofkittens28 thanks for sharing!

thislittlebird · 16/09/2021 10:04

Did anyone else here get no symptoms from progesterone? Maybe it’ll kick in as the days go on but I was expecting it to make me feel a bit PMSy but so far nothing. I’ve done 4 days so far.

MIW01 · 16/09/2021 11:07

@thislittlebird yes I got some symptoms, increase in fatigue, headaches - felt like someone was trying to crush my skull via my temples, acne, nausea.

thislittlebird · 16/09/2021 11:18

@MIW01 oh wow, that sounds intense. What dose were you on? I’m on 400mg per day cyclogest and I have none so far so I’m wondering if I need a higher dose, but maybe it’ll just take a few days. I have been more tired for a couple of nights, I didn’t connect those possible dots.

Sunbird24 · 16/09/2021 11:38

I didn’t get anything bad, it just made my fingernails really strong, and either the progesterone or the pregnancy gave me some respite from my usual hayfever…

thislittlebird · 16/09/2021 12:10

@Sunbird24 ok, that’s reassuring. All I’d ever heard was people suffering from progesterone or getting period/pregnancy symptoms. I know pregnancy can change your immune system, am I right in thinking it dips? That could explain the hay fever.

paintfairy · 16/09/2021 12:51

@thislittlebird I never got progesterone symptoms for about a week. It wasn't instant. And one month I didn't really get much. But I had a migraine 2 of the times and my boobs really hurt nearer the end.

thislittlebird · 16/09/2021 12:57

@paintfairy yeah I had been wondering if I would feel the symptoms of it more as the days passed. Because I get regular hormonal migraines (well, I used to, until a year ago Confused) I’ve wondered if I would be sensitive to it.

crazycatlady1981 · 16/09/2021 16:47

@Motherofkittens28 that’s interesting! My left side was also more productive than my right side! I’m not sure which ones became my embryos though! Hope you are doing ok!!

@thislittlebird I think my progesterone symptoms came on after maybe 5-6 days, I got quite emotional and tearful, which isn’t me at all, I’m usually quite stable but everything made me cry that week!! 😂 No other symptoms though!

Starting to get vaguely excited about my fet although I trying not to get my hopes up too much! Read a lot of positive stories about Day 6 blastocysts so hopefully this will be the one!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

thislittlebird · 16/09/2021 19:00

@crazycatlady1981 my left is less productive but in this cycle it produced the dominant follicle whereas my right developed multiple immature follicles. My ovulation pains were 90% on the right, just to confuse me 🤨

Well, my husband is in for a real treat if I suddenly get super emotional. I’m bad enough without progesterone.

When is your FET?

crazycatlady1981 · 16/09/2021 20:59

@thislittlebird I think it’s likely to be around 27th sept, but it will depend when my LH surge occurs and then I have to phone them and they book me in, presumably for a week later. So just got to keep testing for my surge! I’m only on cd 8 so far, but I can ovulate between cd 10-16.
It’ll be interesting to see if you get symptoms at all, I’ll be on cyclogest 400mg this time rather than crinone so who know what symptoms I’ll have!! 😭😫😡🤣

thislittlebird · 17/09/2021 08:23

@crazycatlady1981 not too long then! It’ll be here before you know it. Cyclogest is what I’m on now and so far (day 5) it’s been fine, fingers crossed it’ll remain that way.

Motherofkittens28 · 17/09/2021 09:03

@crazycatlady1981 I'm doing ok, just anxious all the time. I have my 12 week scan next Friday so hopefully all will be well. @thislittlebird can't say I noticed any particular symptoms from the progesterone in my first round. Im now taking 400mg 3x a day to support my pregnancy as my natural levels are lower than they would like. No rest from the pessaries!

Sunbird24 · 17/09/2021 13:03

I massively preferred cyclogest to crinone, just because there’s no ‘clumping’

Marvellouslymadmum · 17/09/2021 18:01

@polejunkie great news about your 12 week scan! So pleased for you

@becarefuloutthere ooh a little girl, how lovely! Congratulations 🥳 I bet it all feels very real now doing it?

@kerrym87sounds like you have an awful lot on your plate! Hopefully if it doesn't start for a couple of months it means things may settle in the meantime

@MIW01 sorry you're feeling low, I have had these times and it's so tough on our mh, I do hope something changes for you soon

@Motherofkittens28 isn't that funny?! Maybe even though you have fewer follicles maybe it produces better eggs 🤷🏼‍♀️

@crazycatlady1981 have everything crossed that this fet is the one for you! 27th is the same day I get my follow up phone call to find out when I start clomid too!
