@Crazydoglady123 I'm having really regular scans so I had one on Friday last week and have another this Friday. Everything looked good at the last one, right size, good heartbeat and it did a little wiggle! I'm having to have my 12 week NHS scan slightly early at 11+5 because we are going away, i just hope it's big enough for them to test everything they need to! I'm 9+1 now.
Are you having a little girl? How lovely. We agreed not to find out but I'm not sure I'll be able to hold out!

Crazydoglady123 · 06/09/2021 12:29

Thinking of you @Sunbird24. When will you find out your results from the tests?

@Motherofkittens28 oh that's really good then! Is that with your EPU? Our local EPU scans was horrendous when we lost the twin. They made you go get changed into a gown then lay down for the scan and wouldn't say a word during it or let you see anything and after made you get back changed and then sit down and discuss the findings! Ah sorry I thought I'd said on here! We did our gender reveal last weekend and it's a girl! I'd said from the start it was two girls (obv we lost one) but after having our closed envelope gender scan I was adamant I was wrong and it was actually a boy so I cried my eyes out when I saw pink!

Motherofkittens28 · 06/09/2021 12:38

@Crazydoglady123 no its with the IVF clinic we were going to do our third round with. It's all very quick and business like, no time for ooing and ahhing at the baby just yup it's still there, heartbeat and measure. They are checking my progesterone every time as well as they have me on cyclogest to keep my levels up. Its reassuring to have the monitoring and whilst it's expensive it's nowhere near what we would have paid for another round so I feel like it's worth it to make sure this bubba sticks!
So happy for you! Obviously a baby of any gender is all we want but I would love a little girl.

Marvellouslymadmum · 06/09/2021 12:52

@Annny27 that's great that they're sorting your laparoscopy first for you, that's what I wanted but they're not interested at all! November isn't long to wait now either. Sorry you're feeling low, this ttc thing is so hard 😞

@Crazydoglady123 that's so nice you're having a girl, one of each is great! So pleased everything is going well for you

@Sunbird24 how are you feeling now, hope you'll get some answers soon

@Motherofkittens28 yay to the scans and everything going well for you. I had to find out what I was having with mine. I just wanted to know what colour things I could buy because I didn't want everything yellow abs green lol

@Annny27 do you know when you're going to get your laparoscopy? @Marvellouslymadmum how comes they won't do 1 for you? Congratulations @crazydoglady123 on the gender scan! Have you got any names in mind? I hope you are able to start moving forward now @Sunbird24 and are taking care of yourself ❤ @thislittlebird I've done CBT several times now and not found it helpful, unfortunately you aren't always able to positive think your way out of everything! @Motherofkittens28 how mich cyclogest are you on? Do you know what your progesterone levels were before becoming pregnant?

So another disastrous morning test wise. They didn't work again, so we've only had 1 out of the 6 actually work! The pic I posted yesterday with a squinter of a line, I'm home now and waiting for amazon to arrive with the 2 FRER S I ordered yesterday so I can take another test here at home and call the clinic before it shuts hopefully! I'm now bleeding quite heavily, very red, lots of gunk, cramps etc.

Motherofkittens28 · 06/09/2021 18:48

@MIW01 so sorry to hear the tests aren't working, what a nightmare!
I'm on 400mg three times a day, so quite a lot.
I had two day 21 tests over the time we were trying, one was 20.5 and the other was 40 I think. My first test when I was pregnant was 88 and after the supplements I tend to be around 110, although it had dropped to 96.4.
When I had my embryo transfer I bled through the progesterone from day 5 Post transfer so I think my levels are low generally

Crazydoglady123 · 06/09/2021 21:34

@Motherofkittens28 ah okay! That's really good though! I had to have Prontogest injections added in with my Utrogestan in the first trimester and after weeks of having the injection brewed up one hell of a reaction at the injection site...my bum cheek 😂 came out in loads of hives and my bum was soooo itchy 🙈
Thank you

@Marvellouslymadmum we used cocktail sticks to pop the balloon and my DS on the video throws his on the floor in disgust of the pink 🤣

Thank you @MIW01. We have actually chosen her name. It was in our top two and when I searched the names meaning it meant "miracle" so we've decided the name is perfect (I'm not going to say it yet haha). I've never heard of failed tests like that! I feel for you! Did you speak to your clinic?

MIW01 · 07/09/2021 09:29

Did a FRER and a home kit blood test and both BFN 😪

Juno231 · 07/09/2021 09:43

@MIW01 I'm so sorry to hear that :( Sounds like a CP potentially?

@Sunbird24 thinking of you and hope you're coping ok atm

Annny27 · 07/09/2021 10:06

@MIW01 I am gutted for you lovely 💕 💕 there are no words :( xx

Thanks everyone for your kind comments, it's nice to know that I am not alone in my mental health struggles during infertility ♥️♥️

MIW01 · 07/09/2021 10:30

@Juno231 I think we were maybe jist kidding ourselves and the test didn't work properly or maybe residual hormones

@Annny27 this grief and impact on MH is so real and devastating and I don't think it's taken seriously enough

Motherofkittens28 · 07/09/2021 11:09

@MIW01 I'm so so sorry to hear this. I know how awful it is when a round doesn't work, don't underestimate the impact on you and try and give yourself time to process and greave. There is still hope! Remind me is this your first round and did you get any to freeze? I had two rounds, one embryo the first time and none the second so ai totally understand how difficult it is. Sending lots of hugs

MIW01 · 07/09/2021 11:40

@Motherofkittens28 thank you. Nothing to freeze this round. Fiancée is having his varicocele repair on 22nd September so we are holding out hoping that males a difference!

Motherofkittens28 · 07/09/2021 11:48

@MIW01 something obviously changed for us after the second round as here I am 9 weeks pregnant. Its so hard to know what makes a difference. My DH was told to make sure he was "emitting" every other day throughout the month and I took the norethisterone to delay my period for the wedding, who knows if those things helped but i am proof that there is always hope!

polejunkie · 07/09/2021 11:53

@MIW01 I’m so sorry to read this, there really doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason - here’s hoping the varicocele repair has a positive impact on your journey 💕 it’s such a tough process, not one part of this is easy x

becarefuloutthere · 07/09/2021 13:25

@MIW01 so sorry to hear this hun, I hope you're ok. Best of luck for the varicocele repair, really hoping that does the trick for next time! 🤞🏾

Sunbird24 · 07/09/2021 14:26

@MIW01 I’m so sorry, how frustrating with all the failed tests. Fingers crossed the varicocele procedure makes a difference. Flowers

paintfairy · 07/09/2021 15:03

@MIW01 I'm so sorry to read this. What a stressful time. 😔

Theawkwardblonde · 07/09/2021 15:06

@MIW01 been following in the hope of some good news. Sorry to have read your update. Fingers crossed next time is your time

crazycatlady1981 · 07/09/2021 16:53

@MIW01 I’m so sorry hun 😢 sending massive hugs to you and your DH. I’ve been there and know how awful it is. Definitely take some time out to grieve and hopefully the varicocele repair will help for when you’re ready to try again. 💕

Marvellouslymadmum · 08/09/2021 00:09

@MIW01 the consultant I saw wasn't interested in endo/adeno at all just said I've been pregnant before so highly unlikely it's effecting my fertility also highly unlikely my tubes are blocked! I'm not very happy about it, I know it can prevent pregnancy which is probably what's happening and also cause mc
So sorry the it hasn't worked for you this time, hopefully you'll have better luck next time, I've heard a lot of people say the first go is like a test run to see how your body reacts to the drugs etc and with the repair too I'm sure you'll have a beer chance the next time,
@Crazydoglady123 haha that made me lol I'm guessing he wasn't to happy that he's getting a sister!

MIW01 · 08/09/2021 10:08

Thanks fpr all your support and kind words ladies

@Motherofkittens28 I'm hoping this round has helped. We've got 1 more natural cycle before fiancée has his repair! And of course I hope that males a difference, too. I hope everything is going OK for you so far?

@polejunkie it's tough cause we were so hopeful after getting 1 really high quality one to transfer. Feels like we're back to square 1 again

@becarefuloutthere my acupuncturist is convinced that's what it is and I'm hoping she's right. Would be great if we get that fixed then all just happens naturally!

@Sunbird24 I've never experienced anything like it with those tests! Nightmare! Hope you are doing as well as can be expected and taking care of yourself?

@paintfairy thank you it's definitely a roller coaster!

@Theawkwardblonde thank you for the kind words, we're licking our wounds here ready for phase 2

@crazycatlady1981 hoping that varicocele repair will work and planning for round 2 in January

@Marvellouslymadmum sorry to hear that. It's mind boggling that they don't seem to have any interest! We've got 1 more round on the NHS.

paintfairy · 08/09/2021 10:44

@Marvellouslymadmum it really annoys me how they just dismiss stuff?!
@MIW01 oh you get another go? That's great! We only get one here. Hopefully they might come up with something as to what might help?

I've got a scan in 2 weeks and DH a SA. Then the following day we've got our first ivf phone consultation. I feel a bit scared now something is happening! Mostly I think because we only have one shot at this.

MIW01 · 08/09/2021 14:10

@paintfairy it's such a postcode lottery I think its horrendous! We're very fortunate we get 2 NHS rounds. I think if we only had 1 we would have insisted on waiting for fiancée to have his varicocele repaired first.

kerrym87 · 08/09/2021 14:59

@MIW01 so sorry thinking of you x
