@MIW01 probably the drugs! It's really a rough ride with all of that. I only had low levels for iui and it made me feel awful. Couple of migraines too. So I dread to think what full drugs are like.

MIW01 · 02/09/2021 09:32

Did any other IVF ers take their temperature throughout the IVF cycle? I have just out of interest and found my temperature dropped slightly this morning, and it has me feeling a little anxious. It's not dropped by much and my temperatures are not reliable because I don't sleep very well at all but I have a general trend of them being slightly elevated in the leuteal phase. They've been sky high the last two days and I've woken up feeling like I'm running hot - 36.98 degrees Celsius, but this morning dropped to 36.69, which is still relatively high but it concerns me that it dropped. Testing on Sunday!

Annny27 · 02/09/2021 13:35

Hello ladies! Just a check in to say my period arrived, i thought this month was it haha - tests are arriving at 3pm hahah! Little too late 😂

@MIW01 after my bfp my temps were up and down all over the place. Honestly stop temping as it will cause too much stress :) fingers crossed your symptoms are promising- I didnt have many symptoms with cyclogest apart from slightly sore boobs!

crazycatlady1981 · 02/09/2021 17:03

@MIW01 I’m so excited for you for your otd!! I was a complete emotional wreck when I was on the progesterone, everything made me cry 😂 but it didn’t seem to effect me physically so no sore boobs or headaches etc. Temp definitely goes up and down so I wouldn’t read much into it dropping slightly today. It’s still high so that’s good! 😊

@Annny27 sorry to hear the witch arrived! It’s so disappointing when you think this is your month!! 😔
My body is currently making me think this is my month because I’m 8dpo and I haven’t started spotting yet which is unheard of! I literally always spot from around 6-8dpo on and off until af arrives! Af due next wed so still a way to go yet!!

Annny27 · 02/09/2021 17:07

@crazycatlady1981 anything that's different makes you wonder doeant it! Mine was because I spotted 6-10 and then stopped untill today (15dpo) when usually I start at around 10 and continue untill period. So I was like oooh implantation....it wasnt :p

Have you had endo investigated I cant remember if you have or not?

Juno231 · 02/09/2021 17:08

@MIW01 bear in mind the high temps in the LP are due to progesterone and yours will be artificially boosted now so unreliable for temping. Best to step away ♥️

crazycatlady1981 · 02/09/2021 19:34

@Annny27 I spent years thinking my spotting might be implantation each month before I realised that it actually signals af on the way!! 😫 oh to be a fertile unicorn who doesn’t have to scrutinise every single change in symptoms! 😂
Havent had any endo investigations, I guess there’s a chance I could have some endo as I have a few of the signs.
Are you any closer to getting ivf? I can’t remember how far along you are on your journey now!

Marvellouslymadmum · 03/09/2021 01:14

@crazycatlady1981 to be honest she didn't seem to want to listen to me no matter what I said! I tried to say day 21 probably wouldn't be good timing after the last couple of long cycles but definitely didn't care, although this one was obviously shorter but still wrong! I'll just wait and see what she says when she rings with the results I think.

@Sunbird24 oh that sounds awful but I am glad it's been sorted fir you and they managed to get an embryo for testing m. I do hope they found the cause for you and can put it right

MIW01 · 03/09/2021 22:59

Thank you @Annny27 @crazycatlady1981 @Juno231 @Marvellouslymadmum I'm afraid I shamelessly ignored your advice and temped this morning 🤣 and very pleased to say it shot up again today and I've had some spotting today so I'm very much hoping its an implantation dip 🤞

Annny27 · 05/09/2021 13:05

@MiW01 good luck ♥️♥️♥️♥️

Annny27 · 05/09/2021 13:07

@crazycatlady1981 I can start nhs funding application in november....2 years since my miscarriage. But I will be having laproscopy for endo first so things might happen naturally 🤞🏻

Are you waiting for frozen cycle now?

Think I properly have depression girls, just disinterested in everything and anything! Infertility is the hardest thing that's ever happened to me and I am sure all of you guys too!

MIW01 · 05/09/2021 13:14

Hello ladies, so far testing has been a complete disaster! 3 inside tests! 2 CB digital with the book errors message on them so went to shop at Center Parcs and bought the only tests they had which were medisure midstream and that 1 was just blank! Not even a control line appeared! Then after a few minutes a very faint control line appeared but not the the clear line I'm used to seeing, there were also other random lines that streaked across the test so I have assumed this is also invalid!!! I'm going to give it 1 more go this evening then try again tomorrow . . . I have NEVER had this issue woth pregnancy tests in the 3 years we've been trying a clear control line or message has ALWAYS appeared! Fiancée and I feeling so upset, disappointed and angry that this has happened now!

I've also just found out that diabetes can affect pregnancy test results, noone has ever mentioned this to me before!

I'm also now bleeding . . . It isn't like what I normally get when I have AF but there is definitely red blood there as well as the darker and stringy stuff . . .

polejunkie · 05/09/2021 13:29

@MIW01 did you use the test the clinic gave you, I’m assuming that was invalid too? My clinic test what’s rubbish but the clear blue worked for me - i’m afraid I don’t know much about diabetes and it having an impact on pregnancy tests, perhaps book in for bloods as soon as you can, that will give you a definitive answer. When will you be home? I’m so sorry your in limbo x

crazycatlady1981 · 05/09/2021 14:31

@MIW01 oh no, what a nightmare! That’s not what you need on your otd! Keeping everything crossed for you for your next test!
💕 I used a FRER for mine rather than my clinic test as it looked like a rubbish one!!

@Annny27 yeah I’m hopefully having my FET on my next cycle. Gona contact the nurse tomorrow and try to find out what the plan is! 🤞🏻
Sorry to hear that you are feeling low! 💕 It’s crazy how much all this ttc takes it out of you, I feel like my life’s been on hold for so long now and we’re just getting nowhere with it! Hopefully once you get your lap, things will happen naturally and there will be no need to go down ivf route!

@polejunkie how are you doing? Is your 12 wk scan coming up soon? x

MIW01 · 05/09/2021 14:46

The clinic didn't give me any tests @polejunkie @crazycatlady1981 !!! I bought the expensive clear blue digital tests with countdown etc. And both had error messages!!! The went and bought 4 medisure from the Center Parcs shop, which aren't as sensitive as FRs or CBs and that 1 said invalid. Apparently high blood sugar can disrupt the test results and mine swings really high (& that's on metformin & insulin), especially first thing in the morning! Been on some diabetes forums just now and some saying they don't get positive pregnancy test result until 8 weeks!!! I ordered a finger prick blood test pregnancy kit off amazon. Going home tomorrow thank goodness. Haven't been able to do anything anyway so not missing out on much!

polejunkie · 05/09/2021 14:51

@Annny27 I’ve definitely felt how you’re feeling and lost all interest in things at certain points, ttc does take over - just trust the process and look ahead to IVF but don’t be hard on yourself if you feel down, infertility is underestimated!

@crazycatlady1981 I’m ok, scan is fri, think I’ll relax a bit if all ok at that as with my daughter my 12 week scan showed anomalies and it wasn’t the happy day we expected (all was ok but we didn’t know until she was born whether she would have issues) so fingers crossed!

@MIW01 odd they didn’t give you a test - sounds like your diabetes is definitely playing havoc here, can’t believe no one thought to mention this to you though? OTD is stressful enough!! X

MIW01 · 05/09/2021 19:20

Not sure if you can see anything here? Let me know if you can!

Annny27 · 05/09/2021 19:33

@MIW01 I can just about make out a shadow but it might just be my line eyes- how does it look in real life?

Sorry that your other tests didnt work- that's so unlucky! Esp 2 digitals

@crazycatlady1981 not too long to wait then ubtill your next try! Must feel a mixture of excitement and anxious ness

@polejunkie thank you lovely! Glad to know that I am not alone in feeling this way. How are you doing now?

crazycatlady1981 · 05/09/2021 20:02

@polejunkie oh crikey, that’s quite stressful to go through, no wonder you are a bit anxious about scan! Fingers crossed it’s all ok and will be a much less stressful experience this time 💕

@MIW01 there’s possibly something there, i always find it very difficult to tell from a photo though. Might be better to see tomorrow with FMU! When does your blood test arrive?

@Annny27 yeah I’m mostly convinced it’s not going to work because of my last one failing, but I’m sure I’ll be more excited once it’s underway!

MIW01 · 05/09/2021 21:12

@polejunkie so sorry to hear you're having such a stressful and anxious time atm

@Annny27 I'm sorry everything is still taking so long for you and I hope things get moving soon! Me, fiancée and SIL think we can see a very faint line! But would say still inconclusive atm. Testing again tomorrow morning!

@crazycatlady1981 wishing you all the best for next time. Blood test kit arrives tomorrow so will do that when get home from CP. Think there maybe a very faint line there so testing again in the morning!

thislittlebird · 06/09/2021 09:23

@MIW01 I replied to you on the other thread.

@Annny27 yeah I hear that. I strongly suspect I am very depressed and I don’t see any end to it unless we’re successful. It’s horrible. It’s stupid, but I want to go on holiday and I want to get a dog...but all I can think about is my age and needing the money in case we need private ivf. It’s like a big ivf hamster wheel.

I finish my first Letrozole course today. I got it from the private clinic and we’re doing a monitored cycle with trigger shot while we wait for nhs ivf. No side effects so far, who knows if it’s doing anything. Got a scan on Wednesday to check follicles, I had 38 on one of my scans last week so hoping a couple are growing.

Motherofkittens28 · 06/09/2021 10:05

@Annny27, @thislittlebird I think it's hard not to end up depressed when you are going through infertility, it's so very hard and literally takes over every thought so you can't escape it. I know we have been so incredibly lucky but I'm so ridiculously anxious about this pregnancy I don't feel out of the woods and the impact of our infertility prior to this is still very much there. I recommend asking to be referred for counselling by your GP, or in my area you can self refer for NHS counselling, it can be helpful to talk to someone about it.

thislittlebird · 06/09/2021 10:21

@Motherofkittens28 yeah, I know it won’t really go away even if it works but it feels like another hurdle of anxiety that we can’t get to yet. We can self refer here but all we get is CBT and I’ve done that before so not sure it will be what I need really. I’ll probably pay for private counselling in time, but probably not yet, on case we need private ivf. Sigh. It really is one big endless circle.

Crazydoglady123 · 06/09/2021 11:52

@MIW01 everything crossed for you!

@thislittlebird good luck with your OI cycle! Fingers crossed a good size egg or two to trigger on 🤞

@Annny27 @thislittlebird it's so hard mentally infertility. I went through stages of emotions and after the two year mark it probably hit me the hardest. Just remember however you feel is valid. There's no right or wrong way to feel but it does help talking to people.

@Motherofkittens28 know how you feel! I won't loose the anxious feeling until she's here! We had our 20 week scan on Friday and even that was nerve wracking all of the checks plus I have an anterior placenta so still don't feel kicks or definite movement only the odd bit of pressure in places at times. When's your next scan?

Sunbird24 · 06/09/2021 12:15

My work friend and his wife had their baby this morning, so happy for them as I know they struggled a little and it wasn’t an easy pregnancy, but it still cuts.
Jumped the gun on the HPT yesterday and now only getting a very faint line, plus have very nearly stopped bleeding, so looks like the surgery has got everything it should have done.

Sorry to read that people are struggling with emotional stuff, sending huge virtual squeezes to anyone who’d find it helpful, and hankies for those who’d like a good cry but no physical contact thank you very much…
