Hi, hope it’s okay for me to join you lovely lot.
We’re not actively trying but said it’ll happen when it does so to speak. Im now 7 days late, Done 3 tests and all negative :( Iv just started taking conceive plus around 3 weeks ago, could this have delayed AF? X

toadstool32 · 06/06/2021 18:18

@Angie887 yes I've had a whole host of bloods done which I'm waiting to come back and I've had a scan - uterus is all fine and normal Smile I'm next due on 28th but will only test if a week late. I don't want to know if it's a chemical

Kaz1987 · 06/06/2021 19:39

Hi, jumping on. Grin

I’m 34 and come off the pill in November ttc #1. Although in that time prob missed a lot of important days as just been using the health app on my phone to track ovulation, also not dtd on them days but every other day instead haha. I have ordered the one stop ovulation Sticks off Amazon for this month, has anybody used them? Any other tips would be welcome if you have any. Also just for peace of mind has anybody had any success stories previously from trying for a while?

Baby dust to you all Daffodil

AlmostLondoner · 06/06/2021 19:44

@timeisnotaline and is it working for you? I've just started few days ago but it looks like it's rising 🤞

That's good! keep us posted and baby dust to all 🤞

@Fiep I think if it takes a while I may tell a couple of close friends. I’ve felt quite a lot of family pressure to start having kids though and I sort of think that if they know we are trying that might make my stress worse because I know how much they want me to have children, does that make sense?

App tracking only works if you have very regular cycles. I use one step sticks and it does take a while to learn to interpret them and best times to test. The test itself is great to test many times a day as it is cheap but it takes nearly 30 min to see results. In the beginning I'd recommend to use them alongside clearblue digital which you don't have to interpret lines. Alternatively premom strips are cheap and much better quality. I used one step to start with and I was testing at about 2pm every day and I never had a test line darker than control line which made me think it was negative. On second month I tried testing a bit earlier and had a positive test. If you don't know what time your LH peaks you might risk getting a negative test even though it's positive. I now test with one step 3 times a day and with clearblue once a day to make sure I don't miss my peak. And for the last 4 months I can say I was able to pick up my lh surge with one step strips once. Only clearblue is able to pinpoint ovulation accurately every cycle. But cheap sticks are great to test many times a day and can give a heads up that ovulation might be around the corner when test line becomes darker and darker. Hope you get your BFP soonxxx

I heard that preconception vitamins can make luteal phase get longer. I take pregnacare and conceive plus ovulation support and so far I'm doing quite well as it's helping my cycles become quite regular. Before taking them my cycles were all over the place.
Angie887 · 06/06/2021 20:27

Lollipop25 · 06/06/2021 21:29

Hi ladies! Hope you don't mind me joining in! This is my 2nd month of TTC currently on CD 2. I've read that much info I feel like I'm totally overloaded. Ill be honest I didn't give it my all last month, but I feel so focused for the cycle ahead. My AF usually lasts 5 days, I was going to start using OPKs from CD 6. I was going to use the clear blue digitals first thing in the morning (i get up for work at 3am) and then I'll use the boots own ones around 10am. I just feel really anxious about missing my surge.

I feel that anxious/focused I feel like DTD everyday from CD6. Can DTD too much have a negative effect?

Anyone on CD2 who would like a buddy?

Nai86 · 06/06/2021 21:59

@Angie887 I've bought a fertilily 100% going to practice using it ASAP! I've read quite positive reviews about them. I was going to use it with the concieve plus lubricant. Hoping for so much this month

timeisnotaline · 06/06/2021 23:32

@Angie887 I’m 38. Im shocked my periods have started varying though - ageing and the fertility impact is real!! I have 2 boys already.

Veronika13 · 06/06/2021 23:56

Hi @Kaz1987 hello I'm similar - am 34 ttc #1, started in feb. I don't use opks just dtd every other day - I can't miss ovulation that way I don't think? 🤔
I think I'll try opks next if this isn't my month - I'm testing tomorrow !!🙊

Missy95 · 07/06/2021 05:49

AF due today and think I just got a vvvvv faint line! Its a real squinter but im sure its there! I want to wait till the end of the week to test again, but may only make it to Wednesday 🤣

Trying not to get my hopes up.. but eeekkk!

Ttcbn2 · 07/06/2021 07:03

Well this is my second month ttc, last month I got so obsessed with testing for ovulation and pregnancy etc I ended up being so unhappy.. this month I’m trying to go with the flow, and not worry about testing for ovulation, my app says I should ovulate today, DTD every day the past week🤣🙈 soo definitely think we’re fine there😂 let’s just hope this month is our month! ♥️

Fiep · 07/06/2021 07:27

I’m 34 and TTC #2 btw.

Another BFN today (12dpo), so I think I’m going to stop testing and wait for AF or I’ll go bankrupt on FRERs!

WantStickyBean · 07/06/2021 07:51

@Missy95 I totally wouldn't be able to stop POAS if I'd seen one faint BFP, I'm impressed with your self-control to make it to Weds! How many DPO are you?

Missy95 · 07/06/2021 08:16

I am 15dpo today, and first day of missed AF so still time! They say to wait 48hrs to retest I think!
Xx

Quinn26 · 07/06/2021 08:32

Thanks @Sam8582 I got some at the weekend so going to start them today. I got 300mg so ill take 2 a day to make it 600mg.

Feeling more positive onto a new cycle! Fingers crossed this is the month!

Fiep · 07/06/2021 08:59

@Missy95 when I had DD I had a vvvvvvv faint line and it was already much stronger 24h later. I reckon it’s a positive! Let us know what your Wednesday brings.

@WantStickyBean haha I would be peeing on everything I see 🤣

Angie887 · 07/06/2021 09:21

@Lollipop25 congratulations!!! Its very scary where there is on the Internet about being an older mumma. That's so reassuring when we see happy cases 😊. I wish you a happy 9 months ❤️

Capricorn8990 · 07/06/2021 09:24

@Missy95 that's amazing 🤩 love your self control! Definitely best to wait. Do let us know.

I'm feeling very selfish and a horrible person today. I found out my partners friends and his partner is pregnant yesterday. They told them all at an event and I'm so glad I wasn't there cos when my partner told me abruptly I burst into tears. I've been feeling very unusual lately and not myself and the reaction was horrible despite being happy for them. My partner didn't understand why I acted the way I did and he just doesn't know how to comfort me. I'm exhausted today from crying. I know stress doesn't help conceiving but I'm a natural worrier and I have anxiety and OCD so I really cannot stop.

Hope everyone is okay and get their BFP soon xxx

Kaz1987 · 07/06/2021 09:27

@Lollipop25 congratulations ❤️. If you don’t mind me asking having you been trying for a while?

@Veronika13 Ahhhh we are both in the same boat, I am defo gonna be more focused this month. I’m not gonna lie I am starting to feel the pressure and panic now Angry

@Angie887 Thank you so much that is really helpful, I really appreciate it Smile

Xxx

Angie887 · 07/06/2021 09:29

@Nai86 I read some positive reviews too so I had a go this cycle. I really struggled to put the way instructions tell to do so I used the c fold technique and it worked better. I left overnight and in the morning it smelt very bad when I took it out so I was worried I had got myself an infection for leaving it too long. But luckily no, everything was back to normal once I had a shower 😂. Hope it works😂 keep us posted how you get on
