Hi ladies! Hope I can join. I am ttc, been trying since December but took a little break so this is first month since starting again and I'm getting impatient now. Anyone else 7dpo?

@WantStickyBean I know what you mean about not over analysing things.. I was definitely like that when TTC dc1. Just now it feels different and I feel calm somehow - I am surprised at myself.

So the acupuncture was good. I went after 4 unsuccessful cycles - not because I thought there was a problem but I thought it can't hurt to try as I read about it. I fell pregnant straight away, unfortunately had an early miscarriage and then pregnant again (now my dc1). Obvs I have no idea if I'd have fallen pregnant anyway but I think it probably helped. Mine was a fertility expert acupuncturist. Interestingly she told me to stop taking BBT (to be fair I didn't find BBT helpful but that's more because I was useless at doing it, awake a million times at night etc so I didn't mind - I'd have had a stronger opinion if I had found BBT helpful). Anyway so instead she gave me a sort of schedule as to when we were supposed to dtd - so could've been that. I find acupuncture very relaxing so that was an added bonus. @SATCfan thank you that's really interesting. Silly question - what part of your body did she stick the needles in? Trying to decide what best to wear.

Also, did you go at any specific part of your cycle, and how regularly?

Interesting about the BBT. Mine is also a fertility specialist so interesting to hear what she says about timing DTD. At the moment we're doing every day in fertile window but this month that's going to end up being 7 consecutive days and I'm tired! I'll be about 3DPO when I go, hoping she can help implantation and set me up for next cycle if unsuccessful this time.

Not a silly question at all. You definitely want to be comfortable so I wore lettings plus a comfy top. She put the needles into feet and/or ankles (can't remember), hands, head. I literally cannot remember if in my belly too but I think so; would make sense to me. The needles go in different places depending if TTC, already pregnant, trying to induce labour etc.

Re frequency, 1st appt was just whenever it happened to fall. She then planned them - quite regularly initially, then more spaced out (I think). Quite expensive but had more money then; now skint and less time because of dc1 plus COVID etc so will tell her I can't come as often when I go next week. I'm sure it's like anything - ideally you go to all recommended appts but if you can't afford it surely better some than none..

Your person might not say the timing thing re dtd - dunno if that was just mine or if that's an acupuncturist rule. She seemed to think taking BBT makes you too obsessive (which it did, I admit) but I think everyone needs to do what's best for them. She gave me some dietary advice when I first went, more protein and less carbs but I didn't stick to it 🤣🤣. I am one of those people that cannot do low carb.

I could never do 7 consecutive days of dtd, that does sound tiring. Wow, respect. Aw fingers crossed to you that it's helpful! 🤞🏻

@mummytoolive I think am gonna cave and get one to test tomorrow am .. I am so bloated today I could pass for 6 months pregnant! Are they 6mu sensitive?

@Dolly3113 how many DPO are your tomorrow? Can get a positive from 6 days before your missed period with them but it's all defendant on your cycle and when you implant xxx

@Fiep the test was done 9dpo I think but can't be sure. I ordered them Saturday and they've been dispatched so Monday or Tuesday. Af is due Wednesday/Thursday I think xx

Hahaha @Willow1982 are you holding out? I’m the wrong person to ask for help 🤣🤣 let me know how you’re getting on. My apps are saying that I ovulate on Saturday, the day I leave. That would be good. I’ve got my clear blue sticks at the ready, will start tomorrow.

Ladies, who had implantation bleeding? What's does it look like if so?! I just went to the loo and noticed bloody mucus and then I weed and wiped and it was pink?! I've never had this before and I'm due my period in 4 days x

@Capricorn8990 for me it was like a vvvv light period. I even used a tampon initially until I realised it was such a light bleed. Small amounts of pink blood on a pad and when wiping xx

As husband came home soon after to have a celebratory meal and family day out.

Took it this morning (have been up since 530am fretting!) on the 4th day AF is late. I am a 28 day cycle since going with a copper coil after ds was born 3years ago. Prior to giving birth, I was a 30-34 day cycle. I think with age (will be 37 this year) my cycle has shortened so that realisation made me panic abt ttc.

I’ll stick around here a bit too to share as much baby dust virtually as possible! (I do find baby dust so true?! this month I had been surrounded by pregnant people - 3 other mums who do pickup at ds’ nursery are pregnant and I only started meeting them at pickup this month as I took over pickup as well with my husband away mostly; and also a close friend just announced her pregnancy.)

@Capricorn8990 I had implantation bleeding with ds 3years ago. It’s more like spotting for me and I assumed I was having a very light period as life was stressful at that point.
Yesss wear them white pants! I’ve been wearing white pants the last 4 days to just confirm to myself I am not on AF. It’s weird how the mind needs this “visual aid”.
