it does geordie - and the words good and healthy in the same sentence have put a smile on my face

(though I'm now off to google to look up luteal phase - I really do know shockingly little about my body )

RudyDudy · 15/11/2004 19:34

LOL - crossed posts but that's what I really needed to know!!!!

geordie · 15/11/2004 19:35

lol- leutal phase- the days after ovulation. you need enough days for the right level of hormones to build up that would support a pregnancy!!

e.g 12-14..the closer to 14 the better!!

RudyDudy · 15/11/2004 19:39

you are a ttc encyclopaedia geordie! thanks for that - it's nice to have some idea what's going on.

where are you at this cycle?

Tania2 · 15/11/2004 20:00

Good morning girls havnt read through yet just wondering if anyone is still up. DS is still asleep in his own bed all night didnt wake once

OP posts:
BeckiF · 15/11/2004 20:02

Well another neg opk and feinter still. It's quite strange when you look at my chart that I had a temp dip and rise a few days ago and the opk was still neg but darker. Dare I say that this is indeed a factor of PCOS and that my levels are off all over the month? Not going to get TOO depressed though, there is still hope!

SilverLining · 15/11/2004 20:09

Morning Tania! Good on your DS for sleeping through - isn't it a great feeling!! DD has been a little star all weekend too! She only woke up to ask for her blanket and then went straight back to sleep - no asking for Mummys' bed! perhaps we have both cracked it??? Touch wood quick!

Sorry you got an early AF, I'm due on Friday or thereabouts and am trying not to notice every twinge although my boobs are really tender and hard but I know I've been here before and been incredibly disappointed!!

Hope everyone else is OK - work still horrendously busy so no real time to chat! Thinking of giving up in September when DD starts pre-school and hopefully I will be pg later next year with a bit of luck ....

xxxx

Tania2 · 15/11/2004 20:12

RudyDudy sorry about AF one month closer to getting pg!
Munnzieb Not thats not fair is it your friend should be sharing why is it that when we want a baby everyone around us gets pg and we dont.
Af really really heavy still meant to be taking ds for his swimming leasons today not sure if thats a good idea i would hate to have an accident iykwim
MommyD have you tested????????

Tania2 · 15/11/2004 20:15

Silverlining iam glad your dd is sleeping through too its so much easier but iam not holding my breath as this does happen occasionaly then its back to square one. Good luck i hope af doesnt arrive for you.

OP posts:
SilverLining · 15/11/2004 20:18

Tania - know exactly what you mean about not holding your breath - been there and done it!! I guess the only way to look at it is one step at a time and I think when you have made the effort to crack it then if you do have a little lapse its easier to get back into it?? Thats what I tell myself when yet again I'm surrounded by perfect children!!! (I actually don't believe their mothers and think they lie!!!).

Going to have a long soak in the bath as not sure if I've got a cold on its way! Hope Jeddah's knee is improving and everyone else is OK!

xxx

Bibi20 · 15/11/2004 20:36

Well I'm afraid I'm joining today's af club... started spotting on Sat so didn't bother testing on Sunday...

CD1 - here we go again...

SilverLining - I missed Strictly Come Dancing on Sat - how was it?!

Bibi20 · 15/11/2004 20:37

IrishLass - I think you asked about using a saliva microscope?

Best to use it in the afternoon, don't eat anything or drink alcohol or smoke for a couple of hours beforehand. I dab it onto my tongue rather than licking it and let it dry for about 5 mins. I can definitely see ferns on some days and these correspond with days that I get a positive result from the peeing on a stick kind...

HTH - Good luck!

RudyDudy · 15/11/2004 20:40

Hi Tania

Really pleased to hear about DS sleeping through - you must feel like a different person after an undisturbed night!

Thanks for the +ve thoughts about AF - I'm trying to think of it like that. I do get frustrated that with a long cycle it seems like AGES until I will be O but I'm sure the lesson in patience will do me good!

RudyDudy · 15/11/2004 20:41

sorry to hear you're in the af club too bibi

just think of all the lovely BD'ing you'll be doing soon

Munnzieb · 15/11/2004 20:47

Right then,

Jeddah, Yes I did buy on ebay, and it didn't even take that long paying by cheque! when I pay by paypal once i've had my verification, i email the seller straight away and ask for confirmation they have recieve the funds. But b4 now i've paid via paypal on the thursday morning (at 7.am when I get up and been paid) then receive it on friday morning. so god knows where this bloke is coming from). If you don't have any joy then contact paypal to see what they can do, and I know it's cheeky but also ring ur bank and claim you don't know who made the payment etc... and the funds have been taken out of your a/c I know it's a hassle but at least you'll get the money back, whihc is the objective here. (if he says he's posted it or about to post it ask for proof that he has done it, as he can obtain a proof of postage certificate from R.Mail.)

Rudy - Yes the yellow light, i'm pressing terh button now the 'M' one and it's not working. In my book it says it can't be used by otehr ppl, is this true or just their speal to sell more moniters?, Oh and share the choc hon, 36 laps in the pool is enough to make u really hungry! lol

think that's covered every thing. sorry if it's not thou.

Bibi20 · 15/11/2004 20:50

Ooo Rudy Dudy - you are being positive - I'm just feeling resigned to taking forever to conceive (think I will eventually which means that I'm not a total pessimist) and have kinda lost enthusiasm for the whole thing - including the thought of going through the 'fertile period' bd'ing if I'm honest . When we started we were all staring into each other's eyes lovingly and / or giggling about having maybe made a baby, now it's all technical and planned - all romance gone out of the window for the week! I'm trying to forget about dates but it's proving to be impossible!!

Oh well, I've got the results of my blood tests to look forward to - here's hoping they find something simple is wrong that a nice easy drug will sort out pronto! I wish!

BeckiF · 15/11/2004 20:59

Hello?! Any thoughts on my last post??

Munnzieb · 15/11/2004 21:01

oh and Jeddah, I sincerly hope that hester joins you for the next year, but hopefully it won't take u that long. what a pair u two make! lol.

Bibi20 · 15/11/2004 21:05

Sorry BeckiF - thought it was rhetorical!! Afraid I still don't know about PCOS and OPKs - but have got my fingers crossed for you that it all pays off and your premonition comes true.

Me, I only have premonitions about other people - but have had a 100% success rate (well only had two premonitions so far, so not qualifying for white witch status yet!)

ernest · 15/11/2004 21:11

munnzieb persona says can't be used by more than 1 person 'cos can't deal with info on 2 different cycles. but if you clean it & reset it then it's absolutely fine. hth

Tania2 · 15/11/2004 21:11

Well guys ds woke at 7:50 in the best of moods looks like a undisturbed sleep works well for him too. Not taking him swimming will do a make up class on Saturday so dh can come and watch. Hope you all have a lovely night and that af doesnt effect to many of us.
MommyDd WHERE ARE YOU???? HAVE YOU TESTED???
