Well that's the end of FW for me today, what will be will be now 🤷‍♀️ how's everyone else getting on?

Sunshine8888 · 01/05/2021 22:06

Hello, I’m new to this thread. My little girl is now 13 months and i can’t stop thinking about a possible baby no 2. I haven’t really said that out loud yet as I’m absolutely terrified of doing it all again!

Anyway I came off the mini pill 3 days ago on my 33rd birthday. No idea what to expect ... but hoping to regulate cycles after YEARS of being on the combined pill and then 1st pregnancy.

Withdrawal bleed started yesterday so here goes I guess!

HardcoreParkour · 02/05/2021 16:48

Hi All,

I'm 36, DS is almost 11 months and this will be cycle 1 of TTC #2.

Excited and terrified at the same time 🙈

Best of luck to you all 🤞🏼

abbs1 · 02/05/2021 16:55

@hardcoreparkour Same! Im 27 my little boy is 13 months and on cycle 1 of TTC #2.
petrified but excited at the same time. I had hyperemesis first time round and pre eclampsia so hoping its a better pregnancy but not holding my breath.

HardcoreParkour · 02/05/2021 16:58

@abbs1 that's sounds horrendous 🙈 I really hope this time round is easier for you! I'm worried about a second pregnancy too. My first was pretty straightforward, lots of nausea and the usual symptoms but nothing major and no complications so I was really lucky. Keep thinking I can't be that lucky twice and this time will probably be terrible 🥴

abbs1 · 02/05/2021 17:03

@hardcoreparkour I really hope it all goes smoothly for you with no complications. 🤞

I've been dreading the thought of another pregnancy but going through the hell of Hyperemesis and all the hospital visits and medication was totally worth it. At least if it happens again im prepared.

HardcoreParkour · 02/05/2021 17:11

@abbs1 that's so true! Even if it is hell, it's short lived and the result is worth every second of it ❤️

I'm CD9 today so will start testing with OPKs at the end of next week. My cycle has settled at 33 days since having DS.

Do you track ovulation?

abbs1 · 02/05/2021 17:29

@hardcoreparkour absolutely! I keep reminding myself that its 9 months of hell for a lifetime of love. ❤

According to my tracker im 3DPO but my cycles are 27-29 days so not sure if its accurate. Im not gonna test until after my period is due so will see what happens.

Nobeautysleep · 03/05/2021 17:27

Well I am out again this month, but the good news is I’ve finally had a 28 day cycle after 35-42 days previously

dunkedbiscuit · 04/05/2021 18:54

Sorry you're out @Nobeautysleep but that's good re the cycle length!

Nobeautysleep · 04/05/2021 19:25

Well, I was totally wrong... it was implantation! I got a BFP today!

abbs1 · 04/05/2021 19:39

@nobeautysleep awww congratulations! Such lovely news. I still have over a week to wait.

Sunshine8888 · 04/05/2021 21:21

Jellybean023 · 04/05/2021 23:02

Cantthinkofaname99 · 05/05/2021 06:35

@Nobeautysleep yay congratulations, that's brilliant news!!

Nobeautysleep · 05/05/2021 06:58

Thanks so much ladies! Actually can’t believe it, looks like an early jan due date.

May2311 · 05/05/2021 07:21

@Nobeautysleep congratulations! I'm still hovering waiting for you all to get your BFP!! When will your due date be? X

Nobeautysleep · 05/05/2021 09:15

@May2311 I’m going to hover too. I’ve loved this thread. When are you due again? How are you doing?
I think around Jan time. Just trying to decide when to tell work... covid makes things a bit more complicated with risk assessments etc

May2311 · 05/05/2021 09:49

@Nobeautysleep around 5 December I think. 9w 2 days now. First midwife appt on Friday and then hopefully will get date for scan. I'm still on Mat leave with DD and don't go back till end of May but going to wait till end of June as I'll be WFH anyways. I feel guilty that I will be going back on MAT leave in 6 months so going to wait till I've been back a few weeks to tell them 🤣

dunkedbiscuit · 05/05/2021 11:05

Yessss @Nobeautysleep !! That's brilliant news, congratulations lovely xx

Sunshine8888 · 05/05/2021 22:52

@May2311 I think I recognise you from when i was ttc 1st time round. I was in ttc groups and then the due in May 2020 chat - were you also or am I getting mixed up? Sorry if I am! My daughter was due 2 May but arrived a month early! Congrats on your 2nd pregnancy!

May2311 · 06/05/2021 06:42

@Sunshine8888 ah yes! Your right. How is your LO? Time goes so quickly!! Xx

Cantthinkofaname99 · 06/05/2021 13:34

Hi ladies, so I just had a telephone drs appointment, she seemed to think my short cycles aren't an issue, and that it sounds like I'm ovulating as getting surges on opks. She seemed to say that even if we have been trying a year all they would probably do is check DP's sperm. I did manage to persuade her to do 21 day bloods, so I have an appointment for that tomorrow, had to push a bit for it though! So I suppose I just need to see what 21 day bloods say.

Dyra · 06/05/2021 15:36

Hello everyone! Permission to come aboard?

TTC#2. DD is 20 months old (how?... She was only born yesterday....). The biological alarm won't stop going off, so we've taken the plunge and trying again. Implant came out mid-February, but my period has only just returned. DD took 3 years (I conceived once, but MC in that time) and one dose of Clomid to get her. Praying it doesn't take so long again this time. I've got PCOS, and my weight is a few kg (plus a handful more Blush) over what it should be, but much less than where I was starting from last time. I'm cutting down on sugar and increasing exercise, but I've been laid out with a nasty virus (no, not that one) for the past couple of weeks, so I'm starting from square 1 again. I also turn 35 this year, so on Metformin to try to expedite things. If nothing happens in the next couple of months, I'll have bloods done to check TSH levels to see if I need a little bit of Thyroxine like last time. If nothing by September, and my BMI is low enough, then Clomid again. It's nice to have a plan, but I'd love to be able conceive and take to term a pregnancy without help.

Sorry for the essay. Don't know anyone else in the same boat IRL... Well I did, but both became pregnant within 2 months of stopping contraception. I'm overjoyed for them, but it's very lonesome not having anyone to share the journey with. Good luck to us all.

Fishbaby · 06/05/2021 16:01

Oh i seem to have 2 Mumsnet accounts and this isn't the one i normally use bit forgotten my pw and even login for other one oops.

Anyway... Hi! Name is Fiona, i have a 16m girl and trying for #2

I'm 7dpo and counting every twinge. I'm pretty excited. Trying not to get obsessive again.

Took me 3 cycles last time so hoping it will be similar this thing.

I feel crazy for wanting a#2. Be Part of me is almost thinking i don't want to be pregnant yet just to get my head around that we are trying to have a number 2 even though I've been thinking obsessively about this for 15m...
