@May2311 ahh she’s great thank you, I can’t believe how fast the time has gone! She’s such a sociable baby but also grown up now, can’t stop thinking about her having a sibling so decided just to come off the pill and see what happens! A few of my friends fell pregnant quickly with their first but have been struggling with their second - it’s just impossible to know isn’t it! How’s your LO? How exciting that no 2 is on the way!

@Fishbaby welcome! I’m the same. Can I just skip the pregnancy and birth part and have baby no 2 please?!

May2311 · 06/05/2021 19:11

@Sunshine8888 I know- we are the same. Can't wait to see her playing with a little brother or sister!! My LO is the same loves people( and dogs!!) she is on the move constantly so I'm always knackered by the end of the day never mind the added exhaustion I'm getting now due to being pregnant 🙄🙈 I'm sure it will be worth it though ❤️❤️ Hope your TTC journey is quick for you & also that your pregnancy/birth goes a little more to plan this time ( not too early arrival hopefully!) xxx

Sunshine8888 · 06/05/2021 23:07

@May2311 thank you! Yes, her early arrival was such a shock, I was still working and hadn’t packed my hospital bags. Hope covid didn’t affect you too much? My LG came right at the beginning (2 April) so it was so strict! My poor husband had to sit in the carpark while I laboured on my own to 9cm then he was allowed in for the pushing part and had to leave again after. We then spent 10 days in NICU with no visitors (not even my husband), it was horrible! Hoping things will be different if I’m lucky enough to do it a second time!

Oh wow yes I can’t imagine being pregnant and running round after my LO plus being back at work 🙈

Cantthinkofaname99 · 07/05/2021 18:55

So I had my 21 day bloods taken today, I'm on CD20 and I thought I had peak on my opks on CD17, I stopped doing opks CD18 as the level was falling, however I'm now getting clear stretchy CM, so slightly worried ovulating later, so bloods have been done at wrong time. What do you guys think?

dunkedbiscuit · 07/05/2021 20:39

Welcome @Dyra and @Fishbaby !

@Cantthinkofaname99 have you got any OPKs to test and see what's going on? I hope the blood work all comes back quickly for you x

Cantthinkofaname99 · 07/05/2021 21:45

@dunkedbiscuit just did an opk and it's negative, not sure if hold was long enough but not much I can do about that!! Just don't want my chance at a blood test to be pointless. They said results Monday but have to wait for dr to review them, not sure if they might show on my online account when they come through though, would be good if I could see the numbers!

abbs1 · 09/05/2021 07:06

Morning all,
Im 10dpo today and ive woken up with quite a bit of cramping. Is this implantation or do you think af is on her way early?

Cantthinkofaname99 · 09/05/2021 10:53

@abbs1 to be honest it could be either, I'm afraid it's just a waiting game to see which one it is. I've definitely been there before and spent lots of time googling implantation.

I'm Cd22 today and just had some blood when I went to the loo, so I'll be wondering all day if implantation or AF, my cycles are 22/23 days so could easily be AF. I had kind of given up hope for this cycle anyway.

abbs1 · 09/05/2021 11:07

@cantthinkofaname99 it only lasted like an hour and now its gone so will see if it was implantation or not. Im so impatient 😂

Upsydasiy · 09/05/2021 11:11

Hello

Can I join please. TTC number 2.
Little one was 2 in January.
It took us a while to conceive with her, found out we were pregnant at a fertility scan to start treatment 🥰 had the most horrendous hyperemesis during my last pregnancy 🤰🏻

Was hoping this time would be quicker.

Currently waiting for period. Have been feeling extremely nauseous so rested BFN! Kinda wanting to just start the next cycle now!

Sunshine8888 · 09/05/2021 11:47

@abbs1 it’s just impossible to know ... I didn’t have any symptoms when I fell pregnant 1st time. I just had a very strong feeling and hard to explain but an odd sensation like tingly sensitive boobs.

Welcome @Upsydasiy. Also ttc no 2. Hope it happens quickly for you x

abbs1 · 09/05/2021 12:11

@Sunshine8888 its so hard to know. Ive felt nauseous and really tired but i cant remember with my first as it happened straight after a miscarriage so i wasnt tracking anything.
@upsydasiy welcome. I had horrendous hyperemesis first time round as well so preparing myself for it again. Hopefully you get your bfp soon

Upsydasiy · 09/05/2021 12:22

@Sunshine8888 I’m coming up to a year trying so not happening quickly! 😭

@abbs1 hyperemesis is not fun at all! I ended up admitted on the ward I work on so that’s one way to annouce your pregnant 😂😂 preparing myself for it again but it’s going to be a whole different game with a toddler 😬

abbs1 · 09/05/2021 12:32

@upsydasiy its awful isnt it! My hospital had a day unit i went to every day for fluids and iv medication until i got put on home visits as i needed iv steroids and they didnt want to admit me.
Oh goodness! Well at least you had people who knew you and could see how poorly you were.
Im nervous about trying to cope with hg and and a toddler too.
There is a hyperemesis support page on here that got me through my last pregnancy so have a look if you haven't already.

@abbs1 oh I will have a look thank you!
It definitely wasn’t fun, but used the experience to make some change when I went back to work after maternity leave!

Fingers crossed for you that you won’t suffer as much this time 🤞

Dyra · 09/05/2021 15:49

Hi @Upsydasiy. How long have you been trying for? Best of luck for the next cycle.

Fx crossed for you both @Cantthinkofaname99 and @abbs1.

abbs1 · 09/05/2021 16:10

@dyra Thanks 😊
@upsydasiy oh thats good your work were accomodating. Mine were the complete opposite and made my life hell so i had to resign as I couldn't deal with the stress anymore and being in and out of hospital.
Ive had a lot of support and new medications have been tested and signed off as safe so im gonna see if they help to lessen the sickness. I had 3rd line treatment for HG so hope we both have it a lot better when we get out BFPs.
Yes the hyperemesis support page is lovely esp as everyone understands what each other is going through.

Fishbaby · 10/05/2021 12:49

Disappointed.

I was dpo11 and i noticed some br9wn blood in my knickers so i thought goodie, implantation, like last time.

Only last time i didn't know it was implantation and mistook it for a weird period.

Now i think the opposite has happened. It's a crimson red, not a pink/brown and i think I've bled way more than last time so definitely this is a period.

Just trust I'm sure last time I was off my pill (2yrs ago when trying for#1) my period came later... Cd26-28 whereas only cd 23.

I got myself all worked up thinking it might be implantation when it isn't.

I guess my body still finding its normal after being on contraception again. My last period (first off pill) wasn't as heavy was I'm used to either. I'm hoping this period will be more normal.

Anyone else have implantation bleeds last time?

Cantthinkofaname99 · 11/05/2021 18:36

@Fishbaby I definitely know that feeling, there has been a few times this time round where I've thought AF might be implantation bleeding.

I had it with DS too, doesn't stop me googling each time what it looks like! How are you getting on now?

So I'm on CD24 AF is technically due today. I was pretty sure it was coming on Sunday, as had a few cramps and a tiny (minuscule) amount of blood, but then hasn't shown up yet, so I'm now getting my hopes up even though I'm not really late yet, plus we didn't even DTD on the right days!! Driving myself crazy here!

dunkedbiscuit · 11/05/2021 18:48

Ooo @Cantthinkofaname99 when do you think you will test?

I've been feeling on and off nauseous all day which is making me hopeful, AF isn't due till Friday so I'm wary of testing too early 🙄

Cantthinkofaname99 · 11/05/2021 18:55

@dunkedbiscuit maybe the weekend although really think it's wishful thinking if I get that far. Also had the Covid jab a couple of weeks ago so it's in the back of my mind that it might mess things up too.

When are you going to try and hold out to? Nauseous could be a good sign. Fingers crossed for you.

Nurse85 · 11/05/2021 19:01

Hi all, I hope you don't mind me joining your thread. I'm a newbie and looking for some advice and am yet to find out how to create my own.

This is our 7th month ttc! I'm 11/12 dpo. Not been feeling myself the last few days, a bit weary and light headed so I decided to test yesterday!
Using a cheap Sainsbury's early test I had x2 positives. Was so excited that I very quickly bought a clear blue digital so I could see the words pregnant and sure enough, second urine of the day "pregnant" I actually squealed! As I've been using FRER for the last 7 months I also wanted to see that blazing line I've longed to see every month...took it later in the day but only got a very faint line, did another this am and again a very very faint line. Took another CB (not digital) and it was positive!

I know alot about pregnancy and conception (nurse here) but I'm a novice when it comes to false positive/negatives.

Can anyone help?
L xx

dunkedbiscuit · 11/05/2021 19:18

Whoop whoop @Nurse85 that's a lot of positives! Think it's fair to say you have your BFP! Congratulations 🥳 xx

dunkedbiscuit · 11/05/2021 19:19

Well just after writing that @Cantthinkofaname99 I went out and bought some FRERs so will prob do a wishful thinking test tomorrow!
