I really WAS joking about the wine gryffin, it was shared equally. Besides I will have to do Digitalgirl a favour and drink it ALL because she is on her 2ww. hee hee. .

Bucky2007 · 21/11/2007 15:51

Or are you on your 2ww dg?..ohh I should shut up now . I am aware that when you write things they can sound mean and insensitive when they are not intended that way and I am getting all paranoid...

"CBCB" - whenever I hear about these Hyachinthe (SP?) Bucket types, it always makes me want to be subversive. People who are up themselves with their own self-importance are soooo tedious.

You could always finish matters by looking startled when the Yummies point out you have a Tampax behind your ear and shriek "Oooh gawd, what have I done with my pen!?"

Bucky I'm dead disappointed I'll miss the meet up. I was definitely the wine swigging lush last outing who drank more than her fair entitlement . I probably owe you money from last time we hit the town I'd suggest the next time we organise a meet up we have it in the first two weeks of the cycle so we can get joyously squiffy on wine.

hello to DG and everyone else.

We're lacking in inspiration round here with all these AF's arriving and BFN's.

GryffinGirl · 21/11/2007 17:05

p.s. I must stress that I am NOT a wine swigging lush and/or alcoholic despite several posts on here on the subject of getting squiffy. I am a decicated TTC-er, brazil nut scoffer, grapefruit juice inbiber and general all round baby obsessive at the moment

abbymeg · 21/11/2007 17:11

You've all been busy today .

Well, AF should be getting her skates on this evening, all being well. I want her here, and here now! Bring it on! I'm eager to get going again.

Cbcb - awww. Secretly (despite bitching about cost) I liked the idea of two. I don't think I'd ever want a third child in single pregnancies, but if fate was to force my hand with twins, I'd have quite a family. Plus I had names for them . Saying that, if you had them without fitting the criteria, perhaps I would..(Promise not to tell dh about secret longing..) Sorry about BFN, but - as they say - it's not over till she sings.

Bucky - hopefully I'll be joining you in the single-figure days tomorrow. I was 2 days late last month which has thrown me right out of sync. She better be punctual this month, especially after (makes sick noises) the DIET (bleurgh) and EXERCISE (bleurgh, blergh) I've been forcing myself to do despite my seasonal lack of willpower. It's been a drag; but pg would be wworth it!

Bucky2007 · 21/11/2007 17:15

No you don't owe us anything GG your fantastic company was payment enough. . Believe me I drank a lot of wine, I swayed all the way to meet my friends afterward who, yes you guessed it, had a bottle of wine waiting for me.... This time at least we will be a bit more restrained as DG has plans and I have to go on to meet my BF later in the evening.

Bucky2007 · 21/11/2007 17:16

Where are you abbymeg are you coming to lunch?

abbymeg · 21/11/2007 17:19

I'd love to, but I work until 2.30 on Friday, and where are you? Is this a real-life lunch? (sorry if I sound thick )

glastochick · 21/11/2007 17:22

This is a bit bizarre. On CD12 today, and started getting what feels like AF pains. AF only ended on the 16th. We BD'd Saturday and again last night. Never before felt AF pains so early on. I usually get the odd sensation about a week before AF is due and then nothing until the day AF starts.

Anyone got any ideas?

abbymeg · 21/11/2007 17:25

Hi glastochick - is it ovulation pain? I get these - they feel like AF pain. Light cramps. I'd continue on your bding mission to be on the safe side!

glastochick · 21/11/2007 17:31

It could well be! Starting to learn what my body is up to as I've been on the pill for years. So if this is ovulation pain, does that mean we've still got a good chance this month of getting that BFP? The trick is plenty of BD'ing right up until ovulation, right?

abbymeg · 21/11/2007 17:38

And on the day, and for a couple of days after jut to be on the safe side. Hell, I tend to go for it as AF ends, and contemplate giving up a couple of days before it's due again - why take chances! "I Village" has an ovulation calculator on its fertility pages (sorry, I'm rubbish at links) that tells you the dates to bd working from the date of your last AF. (It also forecasts them for about the next ten years!)

glastochick · 21/11/2007 17:53

Thanks abbymeg. I've seen those ovulation calenders. Apparently the best day for conception will be Friday, so I'm intending to BD every day between now and Monday . Poor old DH, he's absolutely exhausted at the moment .

I've just been a bit wary of using the calenders as gospel as I know every woman is different, and ovulation can take place earlier or later than for other women. I don't want to start temping just yet as we're knew to TTC, but we're enjoying it very much !

abbymeg · 21/11/2007 18:00

I really would trust the cramping feeling. Do you have a short cycle? Also (hope you're not easily put off by gory bits) you might have increased discharge; it gets thicker (I think) towards ovulation. Digitalgirl knows more than me about this? I always know by the cramps. I haven't done temping yet - will try without for a few months. If we don't have success then I might.

DH's! They complain and complain. It's such hardship for them...

Ah Starlight. Here have a glass of my virtual blossom hill and we can toast to hoping for BFP next month.

My AF still AWOL, had tummy ache again today been Knicker watching but nothing. Will test saturday if she does not send me a postcard!

Eww wish I lived near London? I am off on Friday!! Welcome Neebies remember never too much info on here

digitalgirl · 21/11/2007 20:08

ahem!

glastochick it's never too soon to chart temps! on the other hand it can be a pain remember to wake up at the same time everyday and take it, and not get up to go to the loo within 3 hours beforehand.

other ov-spotting tips:

cervical pursuit - this is where you check your cervix position, whether it's high/low, soft/hard, open/closed. it takes a whole cycle of checking before you can start to tell the difference between the different states. high, soft and open means you're fertile.

some women get ov-pain/cramps. once you start to notice them each cycle, you'll be able to tell the difference between ov cramps and AF cramps.

some women get sore nips or shooting pains in the boobs but not sore to touch.

some get horny (which is helpful)

some get irritable (which is not helpful)

you can also use opk's which detect the pre-ov surge in LH. however, if you have an irregular cycle, then these are actually a waste of money because you can get an LH surge but no egg.

Lesson over!

GG have fun at the Amy gig, I will be watching my sister sing at the Jazz Cafe instead. She used to model herself on Amy but has thankfully given up the booze and drugs in order to ensure her performance is on top-form. Lets hope Amy does the same.
Shame you can't make Friday. I'll shall sip a glass of vino in your honour (even though I MAY be on the 2ww, should know by then)

cbcb have a lovely time dunking tampons in mulled wine! (what did I do with my mince pie? sorry, stole GG's joke, i hope she's flattered)

Hi girls havent posted for a few days looking for a bit of advice.
Goes like this my last af was 18th oct then i got my coil out on the 5th nov, expected a big bleed (so everyone kept telling me) but nothing, so i thought would start getting to know how my cp was and try and guess positions when ov etc i worked out ov on the 7th/8th according to high and soft cervix and cramps all ok but now af is 4 days late and i have had cramps every day like af for about 2 weeks but no bleeding not even a spot my cycle is pretty spot on usually,on feeling cervix yesterday and today it is low and soft!!(what does that mean not ov again but low?) and still having cramps i havent tested and scared to i dont want to get my hopes up and be crushed also what if i get bfp and the cramps are signs of mc i had really bad cramps for 2 weeks before my previous mc. has anyone ever had a coil out and had cramps for weeks afterwards? I dont have any pg symptoms that i cant relate to being caused by something else.

Holly78 · 21/11/2007 22:10
