April 2021 TTC Bus

Couldn't see a bus ready for April, so I thought I'd start one as AF has just made a very unwelcome appearance 😒

Quick intro - this would be baby #2 as we have a 2 year old DD, have been trying since Jan, so this will be cycle 4 for us.

Who's ready for some April BFPs? 😁

Hey *@LaurenNH* I'm fairly similar to you. I lost my first MMC discovered at 9+4 (measuring 7+1-2). Discovered 1st March, surgical management on 5th March so I am on post mc cycle waiting for first normal period. But we have been TTC anyway. But not seen a peak OPK yet so no idea on tww situ for me at the moment!

BFP means big fat positive ie positive pregnancy test

Oh yes very similar. I had medical management, but had complications so I had to go to A&E and stay overnight. I'm sorry for your loss.

I didn't pay too much attention on the cycle right after as I took a while to recover, though I'm not sure if I ovulated as my first period was really long. So difficult as it can be so different for everyone, though I think with surgical management your cervix might take a few weeks to return to normal?

I am CD13 today
Had my high yesterday and my peak about 10pm last night on CD12...like what are the chances of that
Completely surprised me lol

Still recording high opks today?
Do I record them as positive too
I also got woken early because of our fire alarm so my temp this morning was inaccurate
Premom says ovulation is today
Fertility Friend hasnt said anything yet

Should I continue to BD? and how will this affect my temps with this mornings being early?
Does ovulation show after 3 highs?

Advice would be great

@Mum2Girls19 how frustrating with the fire alarm! I can’t say for sure about your high OPKs as it’s something that I have noticed with previous cycles, but then I haven’t had the chance to DTD after the peak has dropped to high (only before the peak). I’d say if you can BD then do it :)

I’m on CD7, and I always have 5 day periods, but yesterday I had spotting and then today I have light red bleeding. I also started using the CB ovulation kit on CD5 due to a very short cycle just gone, and had 2 days of blanks and today is my first flashing smiley day. Very confused..

So I’m 8DPO and I’ve taken a test this morning and got these results ...

I had a chemical pregnancy on 4th Feb at 4Weeks and a missed miscarriage last July just shy of 12 weeks. Abs I have a 4.5 year old son so all this is new to me the trying for a baby! Could I have peoples thoughts on the test? I’ve got A clear blue to take tomorrow 6 days prior as my period is due 1st April

@Mum2Girls19 I think different people have different lengths of LH surge. Some peoples is only a couple of hours (hence why some people never get a peak OPK as could miss it eg through the night) but some people have a longer surge of LH. And I believe after the surge is when ovulation occurs and you release the egg. And I believe this happens anywhere from 12-36 hours after the surge. Ie you could have a high Thursday peak Friday and ovulate Saturday. It's quite individual. I don't tend to get really high opks. In fact in January my Premom only recorded the highest at like 0.56 and recorded it as a low reading, so I worried I maybe wasn't ovulating, but I got pregnant so I obviously was. (Ended in mmc hence why I'm here). Personally I'd keep DTD and keep testing till you see the opks go lighter then you could take it as ovulation having occurred x

@Mum2Girls19 also I believe if you keep putting them into Premom it will then use your highest reading and adjust ovulation on your charts

@radiohead11 Yes, now at the end of fertile window. I'm pretty sure I ovulated on Tuesday and we actually managed to DTD at the right times this month so keeping fingers firmly crossed for a sticky egg 🙏 🤣

Do you have any idea what caused the spotting for you?

@Bee44 I get the same with ovulation, but never seem to be able to figure out O sticks so I we've just made sure we do it throughout 🤣 fingers crossed there's no April Fools AF for you 🤞🏻

No idea what caused the spotting. I took another CB ovulation test last night just in case I suddenly got a peak, as I read that LH surges between 05.00-09.00 (??) and so I am unsure whether FMU will be accurate for tracking? Previous cycles I’ve used the cheap amazon strips, and during my fertile window tested 2 times a day once at 11am and then 6-7pm because my surges seemed to vary so much during the day.. hoping we get it right this cycle, although my DP suffers from chronic pain due to spinal scarring, and after being in hospital 3 weeks ago he’s still suffering so today we are out :( unless his meds give him a bit more relief this afternoon. I’m on day 2 of smiley faces, and had a brief dip in BBT yesterday, so I think if we definitely do it by Sunday then hopefully Monday too as Femometer/Ovia are predicting ovulation on Tuesday which seems to tally up with the average fertile window. Trying to keep calm, as I know it’s out of our hands being able to DTD as much as we’d like, but it’s hard not to worry!

I had no idea that there were so many ovulation trackers! What do most people use as I've only ever heard of the clear blue sticks?

I'm only 5dpo and this 2WW is dragging so badly. My boobs are sore and I felt light headed today - but that could all just be usual hormone stuff!

I use easy @ home opks from Amazon. I find opks quite difficult though, like I feel like I'm stopping myself drinking water (when I want to be drinking more), I always do at different times of the day and I never get dark lines (never darker than the control so according to some people that means it's not "positive") but I got pregnant in jan so definitely ovulated then 🤷‍♀️ there's so much mixed info on them. My ones the instructions say LH sythisises in your body in the morning so NOT to use FMU and test between 10am and 8pm. But I believe some others (maybe clear blue?) is FMU. Very confusing. I think the best way to track ovulation is BBT but that sounds hard to do so I've been avoiding it if possible 😂

@radiohead11 I hope that your OH manages to get some relief, it's so hard when you're in constant pain! Just remember, it only takes one warrior sperm to get that egg (🤣) so don't put too much pressure on yourselves!

I read Something earlier saying that over 50% of women's cycles have been affected by covid (stress related) over the past year! Crazy that these things have such a huge impact! You never know, spotting may have been that!

I'm now in my luteal phase and I feel like putting a lock on my pee sticks... aaaarrrggghhh!

Hi! I've taken this, this morning with my FMU. I'm just hoping the lines get darker 😩 I think I'm 10DPO today as I missed judged it by 1 day.

@Lcam2310 I’m pretty sure that looks a bit darker than your previous test! You’re still so super early, I think these are good lines for how early you are!

@Farfaraway1 Thankyou I truly hope so! I'm just worrying about the lines not darkening and it's being a CM like I had beginning of Feb 🤦🏼‍♀️ I will update again on Tuesday 12DPO see what's what! X

Hi everyone, hoping I can join in on this too! I've been wanting to start ttc for a few months now but my partner didn't feel it was the right time so I put it to the back of my brain and carried on. Anyway, the other day he randomly blurted out that he wants to start trying!
I'm currently on day 1 of usually 5 of AF, we aren't expecting it to happen straight away and we've agreed not to tell anyone that we're ttc but I feel like coming on here helps me to express how I'm feeling! Good luck everyone x

I have very irregular cycles so my Doctor doesn't think I am ovulating so I'm awaiting blood tests 🤞
