Especially for you
I wanna let you know what I was going through
All the time we were apart
I thought of you
You were in my heart
My love never changed
I still feel the same

Especially for you
I wanna tell you I was feeling that way too
And if dreams were wings, you know
I would have flown to you
To be where you are
No matter how far
And now that I'm next to you

No more dreaming about tomorrow
Forget the loneliness and the sorrow
I've got to say
It's all because of you

And now we're back together, together
I wanna show you my heart is oh so true
And all the love I have is
Especially for you

Especially for you
I wanna tell you, you mean all the world to me
How I'm certain that our love was meant to be
You changed my life
You showed me the way
And now that I'm next to you

I've waited long enough to find you
I wanna put all the hurt behind you
And I wanna bring out all the love inside you, oh

And now we're back together, together
I wanna show you my heart is oh so true
And all the love I have is
Especially for you

You were in my heart
My love never changed
No more dreaming about tomorrow
Forget the loneliness and the sorrow
I've got to say
It's all because of you

And now we're back together, together
I wanna show you my heart is oh so true
And all the love I have is
Especially for you

I hadn't thought about the warmth factor of a summer baby either... I had been looking at the slings and thinking how good it would be. Would solve my bug dilemma

OOh slings are the best. Babybjorn do a white one for summer.

Scorpio Millie's boots are finished, photos on my profile. Do you want them with the seams or without? The seams are just placed on in the photo, obviously they will be sewn on properly if you want them.

You'd better (do A) - I'm saving that white baby wool you bought me to make something for your baby

Perhaps you should start working on a pattern for a hat for a bag of flour

Report
nomoremagnolia · 25/03/2008 21:03

Well a hat would fit better than mittens or booties :P

We didn't have a sling for ds, but I would certainly consider for #2. Although I would be very careful at the beginning - might not use immediately - heard horror story about someone that accidentaly smothered baby in sling while out for the afternoon . We had the Baby Bjorn baby carrier that you can use on your front which was very good, and also used a Wilkienet for front and back. But do like the look of the fabric ones that they just seem to sit in... Have a friend that makes lovely 'ring' slings from 'found' materials (ie charity shop purchases etc) which look fabulous and can be made to suit the temperature. If you get a thin one, though, you can always line with some fleece for when its colder - or just put your coat over the top...

Thanks Gilly The pattern for those booties is really quite simple (although if you want to make them I'd suggest using few adaptations I've made/discovered, the original sizing comes up really big)

Just to keep the sling wars going, I had a baby bjorn one for dc2 and it was really good, very easy to get her in and out of. There have been concerns recently though about babies having hip problems from being held in the frog position for too long which is why I am thinking of a sideways one - its just a minefield isn't it?

Very jealous of all the knitting by the way...

I like the look of these coorie/kimmer (made in Scotland too so must be good ). Can't quite face the price of the lovely pram systems, so was kinda thinking of managing with a sling for first 6 months - is that feasible?

Sybil - I thought the frog position (if that is legs tucked up in pouch rather than dangling) was supposed to be better for hips? I may have to google to continue my research.

Have nothing to add to the bra conversation - have very little need of support myself .

Hi Rattling those slings do look nice. Will promise myself something like that if and when manage to have #2.

I don't think that I could have managed with ds for 6mo. I found that, at 4mo I was struggling with baby bjorn and, although they are meant to be good for your back etc, found that, as he weighed so much it was just too much to cope with for too long.

You don't need a big system though. We got a Mountain Buggy - I know that they are expensive in their own right without getting anything else. However, we didn't get the carrycot, and never regretted that. We have never got a second buggy - which saved money in itself. We only got something like the MB because of needing something rugged that would cope with daily dog walks in all weathers. If you don't have this requirement, you wouldn't need something like that and could go for something slightly less sturdy, with a less sturdy price tag too. But you don't need a system to have something that works for you!
