Especially for you
I wanna let you know what I was going through
All the time we were apart
I thought of you
You were in my heart
My love never changed
I still feel the same

Especially for you
I wanna tell you I was feeling that way too
And if dreams were wings, you know
I would have flown to you
To be where you are
No matter how far
And now that I'm next to you

No more dreaming about tomorrow
Forget the loneliness and the sorrow
I've got to say
It's all because of you

And now we're back together, together
I wanna show you my heart is oh so true
And all the love I have is
Especially for you

Especially for you
I wanna tell you, you mean all the world to me
How I'm certain that our love was meant to be
You changed my life
You showed me the way
And now that I'm next to you

I've waited long enough to find you
I wanna put all the hurt behind you
And I wanna bring out all the love inside you, oh

And now we're back together, together
I wanna show you my heart is oh so true
And all the love I have is
Especially for you

You were in my heart
My love never changed
No more dreaming about tomorrow
Forget the loneliness and the sorrow
I've got to say
It's all because of you

And now we're back together, together
I wanna show you my heart is oh so true
And all the love I have is
Especially for you

"Come on then tell all ? what is it like? Does it handle well? What is the basket like? Is it heavy? What colour did you get? Do you have the carry cot too?"

Gilly - It is lovely, bigger than what you might think.

Handles lovely, wheels can be swivel or not - i like swivel. fits through my house doorframes.

Quite heavy, but folds up v small and not too heavy for carrying on bus or pushing up a hill.

I got Black - pushchair, carrycot & car seat.

Carrycot has lovely very soft mattress - could deffo use for moses basket. Good hoods on pushchair and carrycot - 2 raincovers, zip on for buggy in hood rim and clip on with toggle for carrycot.

Carseat really easy to hold because of shaped handle.

toomuchtimeonline · 25/03/2008 11:04

Pram wars part II

bebecar - I'm on the fence about 3 wheelers... what is everyone elses view..

firstwheels - does this have the reverse seat position? It doesn't seem to.. mmm..

loola - very impressed... always imagined I'd have a single bar handle though.. are 2 handles better than 1?

Urban detour - looks very nice! Like the look of the wheels!!

... this is a lot harder than I thought - I think I'm giong to have to get myself down to mothercare for a proper look

nomoremagnolia · 25/03/2008 11:31

toomuch Generally I think you'll find more of the 'tyre' pushchairs are 3 wheelers and that a pushchair with reversible seat doesn't have much basket space (can't 'build up' the basket around the seat so easily)
There is a new version of the loola out any time now that has a single handlebar if you're interested, though the basket on the loola is notoriously useless!

Hello everyone, Scorpio, so sorry to hear your news and I hope you are getting lots of support.

Gilly - great to hear you sounding really positive, and the fact that you have all that information and timeline already is fantastic, fingers crossed that it happens sooner rather than later...

I am thinking of starting a sling war, has anyone looked at slings yet? I have heard lots of positive vibes about the hotslings...

Had 28 week mw appointment today and she was really encouraging a homebirth - and a waterbirth. It did sound lovely, and much less stressful than a hospital birth, ummm, any thoughts?

nomoremagnolia · 25/03/2008 11:49

but the loola does have plastic wheels...
otherwise how about...

Sybil BF had a home water birth with her 1st - all went fine, 2 mw's in attendance and she's itching to do it all again. She's away this week but I will get her to tell you all about it on her return if you like? (she's on MN too, in fact she introduced me to it)

I'm poorly
...wrapped up on the sofa... waiting for dh to book our holiday, need cheering up.

hope everyone is good? I am enjoying looking at the prams ... toomuch, I am not keen on the 3-wheelers myself... but having spent a few days with a good friend who has a 2.5 yr old - the bug obsession I have has taken a knock, or two

Sybil - my birth plan was a waterbirth in hospital. Sadly didn't go down that route as waters broke and meconium in them, then dilation just wasn't happening quickly enough (ie started 4am, at 7pm was at 1cm...) did sound good though!

3 wheelers - well, if we ever get round to having dc2 they will be using our Mountain Buggy. Might consider new covers, but probably not. Absolutely fantastic, wouldn't get anything else, although now ds (2.10) not using it. The urban verison has the front wheel that can swivel, but can be fixed if you're going over very rough terrain. Ds in it from about 2 weeks, and never had the carry cot that you can get, or tried to fix in the car seat (based on the recommendations that you shouldn't have them in the car seat for longer than a certain time, didn't leave enough time for the walk once you'd got them into the car and driven where you were going and allowed sufficient time for going back - and MB sufficiently flat not to be a problem.

Also didn't worry about the forward facing bit - did a lot of talking and singing, and could see ds over the top when the hood was down or through the window. From quite early when he was siting up he loved to watch the dog chase her frisbee and was very good at tracking where she was going for quite a long distance.

The swivel wheel made it very manoeuvreable in town, although fairly wide to get between some things.

No suspension - but the wheels are inflated so not too bad, and ds liked the feeling of motion - woke up screaming if I wheeled him on the pavement instead of the verge as it was too flat! MB could go through foot high grass, mud up to the real axle, over tree roots, stones etc. Towards the end I would just (after ensuring that ds strapped in) wheel it down a flight of steps without worrying about keeping the front pushed up so flat - ds loved the bumps!

The only draw back we found was that it normally doesn't fold up very small. However, if you're packing the car for a holiday or something and are prepared to take the wheels off (quite easy), folded flat and was a lot less bulky.

Single handlebar means one hand free (dog lead, or for other people, telephone, toddler's hand etc)

mistlethrush · 25/03/2008 12:12

Ready - here is a hot chocolate and some left over Lindt chocolate bunny for you... hope that they make you feel a bit better soon

Ready · 25/03/2008 12:15

Haha. - I know it will come as a shock... and deep down I am still hankering after the bug. But my friend asked a lot of knowledgeable questions about it... and I did not stand firm as I thought I would - apparently it is fairly heavy.

Boot space is important... and you have to think about ones that come in two parts - "what will you do in town, on your own, when it is raining, you won't want to put the carry cot on the wet floor, so where will you put it whilst putting the frame in the boot?" I hadn't even thought about putting it in the boot

The cost was the biggest to my friend. She is not tight or anything, but she said to spend that much on a pram it would have to be amazing... So. I have promised to not be so set on the bug... But that doesn't mean I won't have one

scorpio1 · 25/03/2008 12:30

tis all true Ready....is a PITA to fold, though not that heavy as far as buggies go...lots of people have them here, good for beaches.

Loola basket is shite.

I am doing OK today, still pregnant but not for much longer me hopes...
