Hi All

I’m about to start my TTC journey for baby number 2 and I am so so so so excited. 😁 is anyone else starting their TTC journey too? Would love to have some ladies in the same boat. ā˜ŗļø

Baby dust to you all for the new year šŸ’–

I'm really strict now about not testing until my period is due or late, I find that when I've tested early and got a bfn I get disappointed but still stay hopeful that it just was too early to show up on a test, and then get disappointed when AF turns up so I get disappointed twice! Easier said than done though!

NannytoMummy · 17/01/2021 21:06

@MrsA9 yes currently in the two week wait now! Time never felt so slow šŸ˜‚ we only started trying 2 months ago, I came off the pill in October.

@Sparkles512 I am also forever adding baby items to my shopping baskets and leaving them in the wish list! I did actually buy a cot today šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø a friend of mine was selling a Ā£450 cotbed for Ā£40 practically brand new as she cosleeps with her little one. Going to pop it in the garage until the time comes 😃 am I crazy? šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤Ŗ

@Amyt92929292 if only we knew when it would be!!!! Life would be so much easier and less stressful. I keep trying to tell myself "it will happen when it's meant to happen" all will work out. But really I just want it to happen now šŸ˜‚

How is everyone feeling? How long has everyone been trying?

glow92 · 17/01/2021 21:24

@MrsE95 haha thanks, it's just such a little rise isn't it šŸ˜ž most screenshots I've seen from the same app show well over 1.0. Will keep testing the next few days, might be longer cycle.

I think I'll still try March/April but maybe a more relaxed approach? Wouldn't want to miss a chance if my journey isn't going to be as easy as I'd like!

MrsE95 · 17/01/2021 21:25

I definitely think that’s the right way about it @Amyt92929292 otherwise it is just so disappointing. šŸ˜ž I did like to test on the day in my period though rather than it being late šŸ˜‚

@NannytoMummy no no I think that is a very very wise move I love it!! šŸ˜šŸ˜ I’m looking to do the same with a double buggy šŸ˜‚

I’m finally feeling very excited! Finally got all my anxieties about work (only on a temp contract until august), money worries and a possible Christmas baby worry out of my head thinking, f it lets just go for it and super excited! šŸ˜ I haven’t even started trying yet getting my implant taken out on Wednesday, eeeekkkk xx

MrsE95 · 17/01/2021 21:26

@glow92 hopefully if that isn’t it it comes in the next couple of days šŸ¤žšŸ™

The March/April thing is kind of the approach and thing we’ve said too. šŸ’–

@Sparkles512 let us know how you get on if you do test on Sunday!

@MrsE95 how exciting! Good luck for getting your implant out, I hope everything settles down quickly for you so you can get cracking!

@NannytoMummy this whole process seems to be a waiting game! So frustrating isn't it. When are you due to test? This is our first month trying for #1 and only just into my fertile week according to Ovia so lots more waiting to go

NannytoMummy · 17/01/2021 21:59

@MrsA9 AF is due in 10 days. So I guess I can test in 5 but I'm going to try and wait and see. I tested last month like twice before I was due on but it's kind of disappointing when it isn't then I think oh maybe it's too early and I am but it isn't showing. Then AF arrives and I'm disappointed again šŸ˜‚šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø how about you? Where are you up to? Xo

NannytoMummy · 17/01/2021 22:01

@MrsE95 ahhh it's so exciting and daunting all at the same time. Money is a big worry no matter what job you have I guess. I'm a nanny and I love my job but I don't know if I'd carry in once I have my own unless I could bring them with me which I'm not sure I could. And I have no idea what I'd do If I couldn't. But I'm trying not to worry until I'm at the point I need to figure something else out. Everything happens for a reason, right?! Xo

DizSquiz · 17/01/2021 22:05

Hi all, I hope you are all well, I'm TTC 1st šŸ‘¶šŸ¼, can I join?

MrsE95 · 17/01/2021 22:22

@NannytoMummy I feel absolutely the same. Everything happens for a reason and I’m trying to learn to just go with the flow of life however scary that is 😬 I’m a teacher and just hoping that something will come up and it will all just happen likes it’s meant too. Probably very silly of me to think like this but there’s no point worrying about things you can’t control šŸ˜‚

Yes yes please join @DizSquiz welcome!! 😁😁 xx

leigha22 · 17/01/2021 22:47

Hey girls! Wondered if I can join?Grin

Quick intro - I came off my mini pill around 2 and a half weeks ago after being on it for just over 10 years, I had a vvvvvv light withdrawal bleed for 2 days. I had the worst symptoms coming off the pill and convinced myself I was already pregnant (quite silly I know haha) I’m starting to feel better now but just waiting for AF to arrive or not arrive and have a BFP - wishful thinking! I don’t want to do OPKs just yet, will probably look into this if I haven’t conceived by March. I promised myself I would see how things go and relax and be patient but here I am!Smile

Would be interesting to know how long it took to get your AF after coming off the pill? X

NannytoMummy · 17/01/2021 22:52

@leigha22 hellloo & welcome!

I was on the pill and I had "normal" periods right away but I only really started taking notice the last 2 months once we actively started trying. I thought I was pregnant last month before I got AF but I just had spotting for two days before I actually came on - which I had hoped was implantation bleeding. Wishful thinking I guess !

I really need to learn all these abbreviations! It's like decoding. So new to all of this! Xo

Weareeinaclub · 17/01/2021 23:08

Hello hello!
Hope you don't mind me joining.
Had my last Depo shot in April last year and we've been TTC since it began to wear off.
Had my first bleed in August but to be honest I've been bleeding pretty much ever since then šŸ‘ŽšŸ» Hoping it calms down soon as TTC is not much fun if you actually can't get a break to try! Good luck everyone! 😊

Amyt92929292 · 18/01/2021 08:07

Hi @leigha22 I came off the mini pill in July, and my first cycle was 52 days! But then since then they've been 32, 28, 30 and 33 so they've settled down to much more normal. I had lots of symptoms for the first 3 months so convinced myself I was pregnant but it was just my body getting used to not taking the hormones. Then my third cycle I had no symptoms at all, then my last one I had quite a few pregnancy symptoms so got hopeful but I'm now on day 2 of a normal AF so my hopes that it was implantation bleed are out the window!

leigha22 · 18/01/2021 09:30

@NannytoMummy thank you. That’s useful to know, I think we’re all so different. I’m hoping once I have my period I’ll start to feel more settled and go with the flow. In regards to the abbreviations I have to google some Grin

@Amyt92929292 hello! Glad I’m not the only one, I’ve convinced myself most days haha. The symptoms are there though but it’s just the pill coming out of my body. It’s a weird little thing isn’t it. Good to know your experiences so if my cycle does take longer then I know it’s probably fine!

Xx

MrsA9 · 18/01/2021 09:34

Ah @NannytoMummy how exciting! Let us know how you get on when you do test. Fingers crossed for you! I'm only on cd13 (of cycle 1) so no idea if I've already ovulated, still to ovulate or anything really! Completely winging it this month and hoping for a miracle šŸ˜‚ x

@leigha22 I came off the mini pill in December, had no withdrawal bleed but did get AF 28 days after my last pill. I was always very regular before contraception though and it can be different for everyone. The symptoms coming off the pill were a shocker! And dtd the first couple of times after coming off just felt wrong šŸ˜‚ I'd be hit with a sudden feeling of "omg I'm not on the pill, I shouldn't be doing this, I might get pregnant!", which is completely bizarre as that's the whole point! šŸ˜‚ x

@Weareeinaclub I was on the depo years ago and didn't get on with it at all. I can't give any advice on coming off though as I went straight on the pill. Fingers crossed you get a break soon! x

leigha22 · 18/01/2021 10:46

@MrsA9 oooo fab, thanks for letting me know. 28 days for me will be start of feb (day after my birthday Hmm) I can’t believe the symptoms of coming off the pill, I won’t be going back on in a hurry that’s for sure!😳😳 hope you get your BFP soon! Xx

Amyt92929292 · 18/01/2021 19:25

@MrsA9 I had exactly the same - "ooh we're having sex with no pill, no condoms, no nothing ... what?!" It's just funny when you've spent your whole adult life trying not to get pregnant and all of a sudden you are doing the exact opposite.

Wishing everyone lots of babydust this month!

MrsA9 · 18/01/2021 19:55

@Amyt92929292 it is a really weird position to be in! Also doesn't help that all our lives we have it drilled into us that as soon as you have sex you're pregnant, you miss one pill you're pregnant, if you even dare to glance in the vague direction of a man you'll get pregnant. But when it comes down to it you really do have to try to get pregnant! Most of the time anyway, obviously there are exceptions

Amyt92929292 · 18/01/2021 20:54

@MrsA9 - tell me about it. It's so drilled into us that we can get pregnant at the drop of a hat if we're not careful yet my husband and I have not yet conceived in 4 months of dtd a lot and doing everything that we can to make it happen. Really hope this month is the one!

MrsE95 · 19/01/2021 19:05

How are we all doing ladies?? Anyone in the two week wait and symptom spotting yet?

I’m sooooo excited as tomorrow’s the day I get my implant out and can officially join you ladies in the TTC journey. Of course I’ve been reading every thread about conceiving quickly after implant removal. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ xx

glow92 · 19/01/2021 19:08

@MrsE95 finally got OPK rise last night and I think peak this morn! šŸ™ŒšŸ¼ so looks love ovulation tomorrow and tww from there.
Tomorrow's the day how exciting! šŸ’œ

glow92 · 19/01/2021 19:08

Looks like*

MrsA9 · 19/01/2021 20:24

@MrsE95 no idea so far! šŸ˜…
My opks were delivered today, on CD14 so not much use really. I peed on one and got a faint line, so guessing that means I'm either just building up to ovulation or I've gone past it already. So none the wiser but it's the first stick I've peed on and that's always exciting 🄳
Hope the implant removal goes well for you tomorrow, fingers crossed you can get going asap x

glow92 · 19/01/2021 21:07

How long is a normal cycle @MrsA9 you could be starting at the perfect time! I initially estimated CD14 for peak with a 28day cycle but I peaked today CD16!
I tested morning and night and I'm please I did as peak reading was this morn. X
