Hi ladies,

I’m new to this and would really appreciate your help. This is my first month TTC. I’m currently on CD4 so still middle of my period. Just wondering what helped you all conceive in your first month of trying and any tips you have. I have clearblue OPK ready and have been tracking my cycles for a which vary from 27-34 day cycles with 2 random 45 day cycles one of them being my last cycle.

Anyone else TTC this month?

Thanks in advance x

@BubblesNSnuggles congratulations! 🌼🌟 xx

ims0rrydarlingg · 04/02/2021 11:16

Congratulations @BubblesNSnuggles that's lovely news! Xx

@glassacorn I'm well thank you! Hope you are too xx I'm on CD50 now, no AF. Did have some small amount of spotting last night when I wiped , sorry TMI! But other than that, nothing. Tested last Friday and it was a BFN.

Aubyone · 04/02/2021 12:25

Massive congrats @BubblesNSnuggles!

Just come to the end of my first cycle TTC with an early AF! I've learnt so much this cycle though - now know how to use OPKs, how to chart, that I can ovulate (yay - always had this irrational fear that I wasn't even with no proof) and most importantly that testing early is not good for my sanity and I won't be doing it again!

So I feel a little disappointed, but also quite accomplished today, and I am really looking forward to opening some red wine tonight, and getting back into lots of sexytime once AF goes away! I'm feeling a little concerned about my short luteal phase (10 days this month, but 12 last) but also reminding myself I am only 2 cycles from when I came off my pill, so maybe it will lengthen.

I remember some of the ladies earlier in this thread like @KittySw and @Grace185 feeling so much better after AF arrived, to look ahead at the next cycle and I didn't fully get that at that point (I'm a couple of weeks behind you) but I totally get that now. I feel significantly better in myself today with AF than yesterday with just a BFN but a slight glimmer of hope. Bring on cycle 2!

Kittysw · 04/02/2021 12:37

@BubblesNSnuggles congratulations. So excited for you :)

@Aubyone 100% It really does make a world of difference. For me into this whole cycle my mindset has been so different. I haven't been trying to symptom spot or tempted by testing. I'm 7DPO today and by this point in my last cycle I was driving myself mad! Much more chilled about the whole thing now. I just hope I can stay that way going forward until we see a BFP.

Hope everyone else is doing well!

Hallie91 · 04/02/2021 18:25

Hi everyone! I've not been posting as I got BFN after BFN and was beating myself up a bit about it. But it is so lovely seeing the BFPs ❤️

Yesterday at 11dpo I thought I saw a very faint line.

Then today I've had very very pink spotting which I'm wondering is IB?

I'm due AF in the next few days but this doesn't feel like the start of her and never this colour.

Has anyone implanted late with BFN and had a BFP after?

Hallie91 · 04/02/2021 18:27

@BubblesNSnuggles amazing!!! So good to hear a late BFP too! I'm 12dpo today and pretty sure I'm having implantation bleeding. I got a BFN yesterday. 😩

BubblesNSnuggles · 04/02/2021 18:49

@Hallie91 keeping everything crossed for you.
I know what you mean about avoiding it for a while, it’s hard to see people’s BFPs sometimes when you are getting negatives - I felt the same.
I tested Monday evening (11dpo) and thought I had a shadowy line but it was hardly there, if at all. Tested Tuesday morning (12dpo) and completely negative. Made myself realise that I was out for this month and then tested yesterday evening just so I could be completely prepared for AF arriving today without it crushing me completely, fully expecting a negative. We were very shocked to see a positive. Have also got a positive on a digital this morning too.
It’s definitely possible to get a BFP after a late(ish) BFN. I spent yesterday morning googling how likely it was giving myself some hope never thinking for a second that I’d get a positive.
It also sounds like implantation bleeding from what you’ve described. Positive baby vibes your way!

Hallie91 · 04/02/2021 19:07

@BubblesNSnuggles ah you've filled me with hope! I'm so happy you got your BFP after getting BFN. It's refreshing to hear! Have you told your partner yet?

I really hope it is - I've just never seen this colour and so little of it other than when I had IB late with my first (which I thought was AF and didn't test until 6+ weeks!). 🤞🤞

JoannaRose · 04/02/2021 23:39

Hello ladies! Please can I join? I have read through the thread and I like this one! First time TTC this month, I think I ovulated yesterday or today so have been DTD. I have been soo boosted seeing the BFPs so far on this thread! Might DTD tomorrow and then have a break for a bit, I don’t want to take the fun out of it by putting too much pressure on but also want the best chance so it’s getting the balance!

It might be a complete myth but after DTD I have been either raising my legs in the air for approx 15 mins or so, or elevating my bum with some pillows just in case it does help. I am trying to avoid going to the loo as soon as finished. Is anyone else trying to do this or anyone else think it’s a big myth? Also, the ladies who got your BFP, out of curiosity did you do either of these things?

Bring on the baby dust! Xx

BubblesNSnuggles · 05/02/2021 07:32

@Hallie91 yes I told him straight away - ran downstairs with the test as soon as the line started to appear. I’m no good at waiting 😂

@JoannaRose welcome to the group! Yes, I’ve absolutely been elevating for a while. Always have whilst TTC for a good 20-30 mins after. I think it probably is just a myth as everything I’ve read said says it doesn’t help BUT it can’t hurt so I’ve always done it 😂

PineappleSun · 05/02/2021 08:41

@JoannaRose welcome to the group Smile
Yes I did lay with my legs up the wall for 15 mins or so, you can't argue with gravity!

JoannaRose · 05/02/2021 09:28

@BubblesNSnuggles and @PineappleSun Thank you! I’ve also heard it doesn’t help but it’s interesting that both of you did it and got a BFP! Maybe there’s something in it? I totally agree with the gravity thing, I’m no scientist but surely it makes sense lol! Congratulations on your BFPs, I am now 1 DPO and not sure how I can sanely do the TWW haha! Xx

Chels139 · 05/02/2021 10:49

Hey ladies, officially in the TTW now.

@Aubyone I'm with you on finding it interesting and learning a lot. Especially around my moods. I was so happy past few days then yday so irritated and my partner was driving me mad. Found out your mood drops immediately after ovulation.

Wish I had laid with my legs up in the air now 😂

Aubyone · 05/02/2021 13:14

@Chels139 oh totally the same with moods! I had a real low day after ovulation and then strangely (despite the slight disappointment) mood has risen hugely with arrival of AF (yesterday) so I wonder if progesterone is to blame. So interesting, because I have had real issues with mood and mental health over the last 6 years, was on medication which I've managed to taper off now, and I'm now wondering how much impact the pill has had (good or bad) - I'm not sure I want any more mood swings but also there's a sense of everything feeling more natural knowing that my hormones are potentially impacting, if you know what I mean? Like I think I will be better able to 'accept' mood swings if I can see the pattern relating to my cycle - rather than get caught up with 'omg why do I feel like this?!'. Soooooo interesting and I think being off the pill will actually help me move with my moods better.

Chels139 · 05/02/2021 18:03

@Aubyone I'm exactly the same with moods and mental health. I came off the pill at 20 (10 years ago) and had copper coil because I couldn't cope with how terrible it made me feel and since then have struggled with my mood and MH. My mood swings are so extreme. Feeling very low today but putting that down to post ovulation rather than stressing like you said, why am I feeling like this. Being a woman is hard 🤣 I feel like we have the exact same thoughts and feelings as I've always been so worried I didn't ovulate and have a short lutal phase so it's nice to know I'm not alone with that thinking!

Eaststreet · 06/02/2021 09:28

Hi everyone!
Not posted much recently as been trying to relax a bit more than last month. I was so stressed it wasn’t helping things but feeling much better now.

I’m in my 2ww now although I’ve still got ewcm which I’m a bit confused about.
Hope everyone else is getting on ok and big congratulations @BubblesNSnuggles

PositiveParrot · 06/02/2021 10:10

@BubblesNSnuggles congratulations! ♥️
I’m just waiting for my first period like 👀👀
I had a weird thing early this week where I tested (completely randomly but also because I had insomnia, very itchy nipples and other random symptoms which are probably just my body figuring itself out) and had a faint positive. All subsequent tests negative so must have been a fluke.
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend xx

greenfrogs1 · 06/02/2021 11:01

Just wanted to thank the girlies on this group who got a BFP and have shared what DPO they tested.

I'm 10 DPO today and got a really obvious BFN this morning. I've had a lot of cramps and other symptoms (around 7-9 DPO) and so I feel really disappointed today as a few days ago I was so hopeful.

But looking back on your BFP posts has really helped me to maintain hope as I think the majority of BFP were more like 12/13 DPO.

Hope everyone else who is testing is ok 🤞🏼

xxx

JoannaRose · 07/02/2021 22:18

Hey @greenfrogs1 and @PositiveParrot have you tested today? I am trying to wait until 14th to test and I’m feeling soo impatient! Xx

greenfrogs1 · 08/02/2021 07:34

@JoannaRose I'm 12 DPO today and got a BFN this morning. AF isn't due for me until Friday so may do a few more tests leading up to it but I'm thinking I may be out this month!

Have you had any symptoms? When is your AF due?

Good luck to the rest of you girlies testing! ✨

PositiveParrot · 08/02/2021 08:17

@JoannaRose
Morning! I’m not even due to test, I’ve tried tracking my ovulation but I’m not having much joy and haven’t hit my peak as far as I can see! I think I just went slightly mad and tested as my body was feeling ‘different’. However, I’m now certain that is just my hormones rebalancing.
How are you doing? xx

greenfrogs1 · 08/02/2021 08:52

Girls I'm a bit confused about something.

I've just read online that when Clear Blue says, for example '6 days before your missed period', by missed period they mean the day AFTER your period is due... not the day it's due to start.

Is this how everyone else understands it?

If so, i think it means my test today was only 79% accurate and not 96% accurate. My AF is due on Friday so I think that means it's 6 days before my 'missed period' and not 5 🧐

I'm finding the tests very confusing 😓

First month TTC
BubblesNSnuggles · 08/02/2021 08:56

@greenfrogs1 you are right - you’ve tested at 6 days early. It is really confusing that it goes from the day after your period is due.

Also, I know we try to stay realistic and not get our hopes up but I tested at 12dpo and got a definite negative and then a positive at 13dpo (the day before I was due my period) so you really do still have time yet!

ToniRx18 · 08/02/2021 10:12

Hi ladies wondering someone has any experience like this? I have been the quiet bystander reading the thread everyday hoping to see more bfp's 😁
I am a little confused 😕
I was due AF on the 6th feb but they arrive on the 4th but not the normal flow I usually have it was much lighter in colour and flow but I have took a pregnancy test with a result of BFN and I have took it as a "period" but if I hadn't bled I would think that might period were on their way getting mild cramps here and there and my boobs are sore I don't want to build myself up to fall if it was just a strange period , has anyone had this before and what was the outcome bfn/bfp

Thanks in advance 🙂💜 baby dust to you all 💞

JoannaRose · 09/02/2021 08:44

@greenfrogs1 well as they say you’re not out until AF shows as 12 DPO can be too early for some! It’s strange that some ladies test at 8DPO and get a line then others don’t get a BFP until AF is late! It’s crazy how all different we are. Are you testing this morning with FMU?? I am only 7DPO but I have felt lots of AF style cramping which I don’t usually get until the day before AF which is due on 19th, and also a stuffy nose and lots more CM than I usually get, but I wonder as I want a baby so bad that I may be symptom spotting as I want to believe I have symptoms!! Im not too hopeful as I haven’t used OPKs, just the Flo app which apparently isn’t always right xx

@PositiveParrot Ahh I know what you mean, I am also feeling ‘just different’ and been saying to DH ‘there’s something going on down there..’ but I am regretting not using OPKs and wondering if I just ovulated late and am getting symptoms due to that... it’s so hard isn’t it, I wish we could test earlier just to know either way so we don’t have to think/stress about it! It doesn’t help that I am beyond an impatient person anyway Smile
It’s good though if your hormones are rebalancing, spreading baby dust! Xx

@BubblesNSnuggles how are you feeling since your BFP?? Please keep us updated it makes me so excited!! Hope you’re feeling well sweet xx
