I have made a new thread as the last one is almost full. I hope this ok @apwilso and have added as many people as I could find to it.

@misswhoshallnotbenamed Firstly, I love you name 💕 welcome go the ttc journey and wish you the best of luck in ttc. Please do not be to hard on yourself if it doesn't happen this month . It is very rare for it to happen the first time trying. I would buy cheap opks(ovulation tests) alongside CB(clearblue) smiley tests. Once your opks get darker start using the CB to confirm . The CB are expensive but worth it. To get a positive opk the test line has to be as dark as the control line, if not darker. You might find you don't ovulate when you think you do and can sometimes vary each month. I use Flo to track ovulation and record opk readings and symptoms and use this to compare each month . It is now really accurate.

Here is a quick run down of the abbreviations :
BFP =big fat positive pregnancy test
BFN= big fat negative pregnancy test
AF= aunty flo (period)
OPK= ovulation predictor kit
CB= clear blue
FRER= first response
DTD= do the deed
TWW= two week wait after ovulation
DPO= days post ovulation
Luteal phase = the time from when you ovulate to when your period arrives.
OH- other half
DH- darling husband

I think that is the most common ones. I am also due to start AF on Friday. The one bit of advice is don't test too early , it isn't worth the heartache. Good luck x

@apwilso and @dex1521 I only have a name for a boy . No idea about girls names. I think my first will be a boy and don't really know why 🤣 . Tbh I don't care I just want to know I can get pregnant.

The spotting has continued but is very intermittent and barely noticeable but obviously I am going looking for it 🤣. Had to go back to bed earlier as felt really nauseas and light headed . Feel absolutely fine now though . I am 11dpo today. I have told.myself I will test tomorrow but I no doubt will chicken out last minute x

Thanks so much for the advise! I really appreciate it! And for the acronyms! I will get looking online to order some OPKS & CB (woohoo now I know what they mean) and try again next month.

@Dex1521 another blood brother then 🤣😘. I must be around the same then, as I didn’t track my ovulation, just guessed. So when’s the best to do a test, I assume 9dpo is too early? X

I did an IC this morning and it was stark white so wouldn't recommend 9dpo

@misswhoshallnotbenamed IC is Internet cheapie and I would say 12dpo is the best date as more likely to have a true results . Even better to wait until AF is late so you don't waste money on loads of tests x

@misswhoshallnotbenamed it takes getting used to with all the shortened terms . Just ask if you are not sure. We have all been st that point in our journey 💕

Crazy symptom spotting is back. So I have had spotting since yesterday. Yesterday it was very light like just a pin prick of blood and some pink discharge but not a lot . This morning it went to a brown colour which I know can be old blood . Surely the old blood would have been first though rather than pink and then brown. The last few times there has been nothing at all . I really want to test tomorrow but don't want to see a stark white test. I also don't even know if I was if it would even show up yet if what the bleeding was , is implantation. I am so tired and have bad heart burn today as well. The tww is such a killer x

@1992EM it definitely sounds more like implantation than AF and AF spotting would more like me red whereas implantation is pinkish/brown. If you want to test I'd say go for it, I'm going to test tomorrow morning. But remember if it is stark white you may not have enough HCG in your urine so could be false negative. Not out until AF shows

@dex1521 Thank you, I have had brown blood before but it usually comes first and then pink, red. This is just different and my boobs still feel massive whereas when spotting starts they tend to not be as "swollen". I am going to say I will test tomorrow and will see how I feel in the morning 🙈🤣. I'm still waiting for ovulation always feel well behind everyone😂 was getting worried because my opks aren't very dark but remembered I had w late period so it might be later than expected 😅

Still on low level opks but I've got EWCM! Looks like it's on route hopping the OH comes home from work sooner rather than later 🤐

@apwilso sounds promising . I am on the dash the the loo every 5 mins as keep thinking AF has started but just loads of discharge 🙈. Spotting has been intermittent throughout the day. If AF starts early I have no idea what has went wrong as I always have a 14 day luteal phase the shortest being 13 .

Anyone good with bbt charts? I have no idea what I'm looking at haha. Is this normal for it to keep rising like this? I ovulated cd14. Bbt is the blue line. The red like is lh

@Tabbycat92 yeah you want your chart to keep rising after ovulation it should stay about the horizontal line. When it starts to drop below it means AF could be on its way

I took an FRER this morning and BFN I think. I feel like I can see something and so can DP but think I'm kidding myself tbh I'm 10dpo

@dex1521 sorry I am not good with tests unless the line is obvious . Hopefully there is one.

I tested at 12dpo and stark white. Just waiting for AF to come now. 😭 I know i am not out until it shows but in my head I know I am x
