How is everyone doing xx

LRW26 · 23/08/2021 14:08

Hey @apwilso how are you doing? I’ve just gone back and got updated because I don’t always get notifications.

So my journey and progressed a little. I’ve had blood tests (all normal) and a HyCoSy scan which again was all normal (tubes aren’t blocked at all and follicle was there ready to be released). They’re going to get my bloods again this week to see if I’ve ovulated. If I haven’t they’re going to give me some medication to make me ovulate and if the bloods are normal our next step is IVF. Apparently the wait list for IVF is weeks not months so just going to see what happens.

I’ve tried to keep off this and stopped doing all of the OPKs and stuff and just try to chill out (harder said than done) I’m also going for fertility acupuncture which was actually really good.

Hope everyone else is doing okay. X

1992EM · 23/08/2021 14:27

@LRW26 that all sounds very promising and glad to hear IVF has a short wait time . 💜

@apwilso I am good thank you . Now 30 weeks. I hope you are well xx

LRW26 · 31/08/2021 20:35

Update from me.. blood test results were normal so we’re now on the IVF waiting list and we’ve been told it’ll be between 8-10 weeks but probably shorter which is super exciting. We only get 1 free try on the NHS and then after that we’d have to fund it ourselves so we’re just going to see what happens.

@1992EM 30 weeks! Wow.. that seems to have gone by so fast. How are you feeling?

@apwilso hope you’re ok xx

1992EM · 31/08/2021 21:44

@LRW26 that is so exciting and can't believe how short the wait times are. I have everything crossed that it is successful 💜

I am good . It has been pretty straight forward since morning sickness stopped . I Am now wfh which has helped too as it is not overly demanding compared to what I normally do (teacher).

@apwilso hope all is well xx

apwilso · 31/08/2021 22:10

@1992EM can't believe how fast that has gone! Wow!

@LRW26 great news! It's a shame you only get one go though. Fingers crossed!!

I'm doing alright currently 8dpo so awaiting had some symptoms and both been on vitamins this month and back to doing opks. Fingers crossed for me!

1992EM · 31/08/2021 22:18

@apwilso that sound promising. I definitely preferred doing opks as felt I was in some control.

This last trimester has flew by . Just counting down the weeks now and get to a point where she wouldn't be closed as prem . I thought I would relax at 12 weeks but you then just aim for the next milestone so never fully relax . 🙈

@1992EM so excited! You'll have to keep us all updated!

Misty84 · 16/09/2021 18:29

Hi girls glad to hear you’re all hanging in there and doing ok!

@1992EM I’ve heard that people never fully relax when pregnant so it’s understandable! Sounds like you’re doing well though which is great.

@apwilso What cycle are you on now and how are you finding it all?

@LRW26 That’s really good that all your results were normal, I think IVF will be successful for you. It’s still brilliant that you get a funded round. Glad it plans to move quite quickly and you seem positive about moving forwards which is a great attitude! Hopefully you’ll have your baby in 1 or 2 rounds🤞

As for me; after 2 years TTC, we had our first round of IVF last month. We’re not eligible for any NHS funding so it ended up costing a whopping £8000 (so many additional costs, for example our meds were nearly £2k). I only got 4 eggs and no embryos, so nothing to transfer, it was absolutely awful and I just cried and cried! Took about 2 weeks to move on emotionally. We’re going to try a second round in a month or two. Obviously can’t afford to do indefinite rounds though. It sucks, and it’s really hard, and I’m just trying to be grateful for the relationship I have with my partner.

Meanwhile all friends around me getting pregnant easily, blah blah blah you know the score, had their babies easily, some of them over a year old now while I’m still stuck at the start.

apwilso · 16/09/2021 18:58

@Misty84 wow the price is shocking! It's a shame you haven't got it funded. I have my fingers crossed for you! All my friends are the same everyone is pregnant apart from me!

I'm on cycle 10 (we had a lot of months of giving up and seeing what happens). I got pregnant around cycle 5 i think and unfortunately lost the baby at 6 weeks. Had a lot of stuff personally go on such as loosing my Nan and myself and on top of it the rainbow baby saga. We are currently on holiday in Cornwall and hoping to have a reset and get back on track once we're back.

I'm sending you all my love to you and your partner as well x

Misty84 · 18/09/2021 07:24

Thanks so much @apwilso.
Yes I remember your mc. So awful, I can’t imagine going through that.😔
Hope you’re having a nice time in Cornwall, I’ve definitely found that making nice plans has really helped. I got so consumed with TTC in the second year and have felt relief recently in knowing our next ivf attempt isn’t for a few more months so we have a plan and there’s not much else I can do! Just on lots of supplements, eat healthily most of the time, exercise and only have a bit of alcohol!

Seems to be such a lottery.

Enjoy the sea! 🌊

apwilso · 18/09/2021 08:58

@Misty84 thank you! Coming home today!

Yep definitely enjoy yourself and feel the best you can! Sending my wishes!x

apwilso · 01/11/2021 16:59

Hi all!

Has anyone got any updates x

Misty84 · 01/11/2021 17:34

Nothing here @apwilso! We have male factor to contend with (and explains why it has never happened naturally despite me ovulating every month). So my partner is getting lots of tests done. Our second round will probably be in Jan🙄 Such a lot of waiting, even the private route!!
How’s things with you? X

1992EM · 01/11/2021 18:12

@apwilso I hope all is well ❤ we had our wee girl last week. Was an emergency section in the end. All very surreal xx

OP posts:
apwilso · 01/11/2021 18:15

@Misty84 sorry to hear about that! Hopefully you can get your round in sooner rather than later. I'm on last days of TWW I'm currently 6 months after my miscarriage and worried it won't happen. Feeling positive at the moment though so fingers crossed!

@1992EM congratulations! Oh no sorry to hear that I hope everything went well though. How big was she and have you picked a name yet. Hope you and your partner are doing well💜

Misty84 · 18/11/2021 07:18

An update from me; much to my complete shock I had a bfp yesterday. Never thought I would say the words!
Doesn’t make any sense considering how negative all the professionals have been, they said our chances of natural conception are next to impossible. So it feels too good to be true and I’m very scared that I won’t be happy for long! Got everything crossed.

Hope everyone else is managing ok, it’s a real struggle. Xx

apwilso · 18/11/2021 07:31

@Misty84 amazing news! Good luck! 🤍🤍

Misty84 · 18/11/2021 07:52

Thanks so much @apwilso 🤞🤞

AninadeBeer · 18/11/2021 08:07

Hey beautiful ladies (and guys if so),
I will try really hard not to drag this on for too long (or make it too confusing), but since this has never happened before, its quite interesting. Whoever went through this, I would love some insight PLEASE!

And sorry if this is the wrong place, I'm new

Yes, I want to know can I possibly pregnant or not? So here we go->

I will start by saying I have a 14month old, so we are not trying, yet not preventing (somewhat).

I got back on the pill 31 August just to get my hormones in check since I broke out hectically on my face.
2 months later I literally forgot to buy my new packet for the month, but also realised when I was supposed to start my 3rd month packet, THAT MY PERIOD IS LATE. Like what? (this was already CD30).
So without freaking out (not really) I tested that Friday (CD32), 2-3 days after my expected period. My test was negative. So I went to my app and saw, okay, my cycle varies between 28 and 30 days, but I had one occurrence where I started in CD33 (this was before I started the pill). So no biggie, lets give it the weekend.
3 days later, that Tuesday morning (CD36) I took another test because AF is still absent, and another negative.
At this point my work colleagues informed me that the pill can delay AF. I did NOT disregard that argument, but the fact that I was on it for only 2 months was still a bit weird that it would suddenly make my regular cycles irregular, but not impossible. I still keep that in mind.

The next day (CD37) I had a lot of EWCM, and another negative with a very expensive Clear Blu test. Here I'm already about a week late.

That weekend- CD40 and CD41 and CD42, I had backpain, mild cramps and mild headaches (thinking AF is coming now for real)
on CD41 I had again a lot of EWCM like CD37.
Now of course I'm on the internet and I'm reading about delayed ovulation, and I'm thinking "can it really be possible?".

Now comes the fun part- from CD42 up to date my temperature went from (normal) 36.0 to 36.2 deg celcius to a sudden varying of 36.7, 36.8, 36.7. I also tested on CD42, negative again.
CD44 would marked the 2 week late for AF.
For this whole week starting from CD42 to maybe CD46 my abdomen felt what I can only describe as tender. But if I pressed on my stomach, meh everything is fine. I had absolutely no symptoms except backpain mild cramps and occasional headaches.

I woke up 03:00 AM on Sunday (CD48) and I'm sorry for the graphics, but I threw up like nearly 6 or 7 times that day. I couldn't eat anything. Eventually my grandmother gave me a bicarbonate of soda remedy and it worked but my body was so sore, my legs were numb and tingling and my headaches were ongoing for the whole day. I was extremely weak and very dizzy but it could be due to the lack of nutrition. Next day Monday (CD49) the nausea was still there but very briefly. And I say briefly, becuase everytime I felt that very mild nauseating feeling, I would literally tell myself "no, don't overthink things, it's nothing" and then I would feel fine. I felt very mild, actually barely there nausea 2 or 3 times Monday.
Oh my gosh guys I even tried ruling out that this was a stomach bug but since I didn't take any medication except for drinking headache pills and bicarbonate of soda remedy to relieve the nausea, it couldn't be that. And that's when I realised I never had stomach cramps or diarrhea at this point (which I do if I have a bug), IN FACT, I've been struggling with constipation since I'm late.

Today is CD52 and I can say I'm 3 weeks late. But I have not tested since CD42.

The only reason why I'm here is that I have to wait until next week before I can buy a test again, and you all know by now how curiosity just devours us from the not-knowing.

So just to summarise for conveniece about all my symptoms if I didn't mention them above:
3 weeks late
Had mild cramps, back pain and occasional headaches
I've felt mild nausea that I talk down (besides Sunday which was just murder itself)
I'm definitely more out of breath or I'm just really unfit
For a coffee lover, I'm struggling the pas 3 days to finish even one cup, BUT NO metallic taste and I honestly still enjoy it, it just taste somehow off or too strong. I know, not really helpful
My temperature is up and staying there

My boobs are fine and I can't see if they're bigger
I really can't smell due to medical reasons so that doesn't help me
I can't really say I'm moody, and I'm always moody before and during AF, but happy chappy (but I'm really like that so basically just normal me)
No food aversions (well yet I think)
No heartburn
No vivid dreams

I really tried to look at the pros and cons for my situation.

With my son, I was 6 days late when I got my BFP (and it was so unexpected). My symptoms only came in my 3rd month of pregnancy, and the worst aversion was Garlic for me, and my dream were very vivid and voilent. So I can't really rely on my previous pregnancy since my boy didn't hassle me much and everything came later than expected and my morning sickness only lasted for about 2 to 3 weeks (thank goodness because that was terrible).

Thank you guys for taking the time in reading this, and I'll appreciated your answers. I'm definitely testing next week, I just want to see what you guys think we're leaning towards

Pregnant or Not Pregnant.

Love you all, and God bless!

apwilso · 18/11/2021 08:51

@Misty84 what cd were you on when you found out yesterday? Have you told your partner? What a miracle for you!

@AninadeBeer not sure what to suggest as I've not been on the pill in years. My cycles have been all over since a MMC or due to stress where I've been like 2 weeks late etc. usually pregnancy tests are very reliable so if it's showing negative it's more than likely correct. If you have started the pill it could throw your cycle off only because of the change in hormones. Might be best if going to the doctors for a blood test in case your having like a cryptic pregnancy or something

1992EM · 18/11/2021 09:04

@misty84 this is the best news . Congratulations ❤ sending you lots of sticking thoughts and fingers crossed this is your happily every after. Miracles can happen 🥰

@aniniadbeer sorry not sure what to suggest. I was on the pill until August 2019. I came off it to get my body back to normal to ttc. I have just had my baby and don't plan to go back on it as it completely wrecked my hormones and cycle etc. I would say your body is just coming off the hormones and your cycle will then be impacted. It could be the discharge was ovulation and that's why your still late. I hope you get the outcome.your looking for x

Thank you @1992EM and congratulations on your healthy birth!

@apwilso I did a cheapie at 11dpo and it was an absolute squinter which I nearly threw away but hung onto just in case. 12dpo there was a very faint line. 13dpo a much clearer line (although still faint) and that’s when I bought a FRER which said pregnant. I was due on today (14dpo).

I told me partner and he’s in just as much shock. Cautiously happy xx

@Misty84 sorry thought I'd replied! I'm so happy for you. I really hope everything goes well! Keep us updated x
