MTW I think a +ve on an OPK means egg is due 12-48 later. Not sure is the same for CBD but I would think they all test for the same thing?

so sorry about your BFN Kirsty i got one too this morning . Cramps don't necessarly mean that horrible AF is making an appearance. Fingers crossed that she will stay away for both of us xxx

Sorry kirstygem and sarahn about your BFN . Although still not over until TEW has arrived. Some women it takes longer to detect PG. Are either of you 'overdue' yet. When I was PG with my first I was convinced I wasn't and didn't test until I was 2 weeks overdue because I had AF pains and was convinced I was just having late period. So you never know

MTW The CB website says that once you got your smily face, BD in the next 48 hours to maximise your chances. So if you jump DP tonight then you're in with a shot .

My friend used the CBD, got her smily face in the morning jumped her DP that evening while waiting for their takeaway to arrive, and now that smily face is 3 months old. Was 1st month of TTC aswell so I think they're pretty accurate.

Well I'm using the CBFM, CD10 today, High again. So just waiting for my peak

Thanks girls I know it not over til TEW comes but trying not to get my hopes up with that kind of thinking. Really had my heart set on being pregnant by end of year and feel like only got one more real chance this year

MTW you get your LH surge the day before you ov, so you have tonight and tomorrow morning to get bd'ing. If you have a 15/16 day luteal phase then you're on target for a 27 day cycle.

Well, I got some EWCM just now not convinced it's the real deal though as cervix was still low and very hard this morning. I remember having patches of random EWCM last cycle. Won't stop me from bd'ing tonight though. Might not text DH this time, leave it a surprise!

Thanks cycle buddy Shazza You are coming up to peak fertility aswell then. I'm just a bit surprised it's so early for me as thought it would be a couple more days yet. I'm going to do more opk's until I don't get any more and jump DH everyday! Poor guy doesn't stand a chance!

Well, I have been doing a little bit of that myself. Up until yesterday morning cervix was high, but this morning it was very low but still hard. Is it possible DG being the expert that you are, that it could become low and then soften up?

Also I don't seem to have ewcm, Should I or can I still ovulate without it? I Did have it a couple of days ago but dried up now (oh god that sounds awful but you know what I mean )

MTW I think there is a very small window post OV that you can still actually concieve.

Plus rememeber what sweetkitty said, it was quality not quantity with her so tonight may be the night

MTW I have another friend who has been TTC for a while, she was just watching he EWCM and CM for a few months, but found this unhelpful as she wasn't getting any ever. So some people do some don't

That friend is now 7 months PG so was nothing wrong with her fertility she just didn't get much CM.

I think I am doomed to a bfn this month Hardly any bd action at the crucial time as all 3 of us have been struck down with a variety of different lurgys over the past 2 weeks (I had sicky bug followed by a cold, dd the same followed by a chest infection and dh has a cold manflu which has rendered him useless in the trouser dept)

If I get a bfp I will phone the Vatican myself and get a miracle proclaimed....

Decided to use ovulation tests to determine when I ovulate, as last cycle was 38 days after finishing pill so no clue really when I ov'd.
I had a positive test yesterday and again today - so this means I have ov'd day 11/12 - is this not really early in a 38 days cycle ?

Hi foghorn Am I right in thinking last month was also your 1st month off pill like me?.

If so that could be why you had the long cycle last month, and the fact that you've OV this early this month looks positive for you having a more 'normal' cycle this month and the luteal phase is normally around 10-16 days.

I had 39 day cycle last month and just praying that this month is a lot shorter!

Foghorn It's my first month of using OPK's and I was at [smiley] face today. My cycles are shorter than yours was last month but I'm only CD10. If it was your first month off the pill last month your body is probably getting back to normal and I think these OPK's are quite accurate. We must get bd'ing!

You are rght Shazza - we are in exactly the same boat.
We BD'd last night and I plan on some more action tonight - just have a positive feeling this time.

I have been pleased for both my friends but equally because DP and I couldn't start trying until now, so it's been hard, especially as there's only 3 women in the office and them 2 being PG, but hopefully soon I can join them. Had 2 days of high on my CBFM so just waiting for peak now, although have pains on one side today so thinking maybe they could be OV pains so maybe I'll get the peak tomorrow. But will give the BDing a go tonight anyway to make sure.

Plus I've found since I stopped the pill my sex drive has gone through the roof, which is just bloody good. Plus those OPK's detect the LH surge and OV occurs 12-48 hours after so you've still got a good go at it Get those swimmers a swimming

kirstygem Why is it TEW seems to wait until a PG test is done before she shows up?. Really sorry for you, hopefully this week will fly by and you can jump your DP. Will still be time to get a BFP before christmas

SM The rules of cervical pursuit:

Wash your hands, squat, stick your middle finger up your wotsit, have a feel.

If you can feel something like the tip of your nose and it's within easy reach that means it's low and hard. You are not fertile. It should be like this just after AF and after ov.

If you're having trouble reaching it and it feels more like your lips that means it's high and soft, you're fertile, it's business time!

Some people can also tell if it's open or closed (I can't). It's open when you're fertile or during AF. Should be closed the rest of the time.
