No eating out, no cocktails, no socialising... I’m hoping that the dreaded lock down month will be the month we get lucky. Anyone else care to join me? Smile

Contraception not contraction 😂😂

jessi60 · 03/11/2020 14:50

Don’t even know what I’m writing anymore😂 it’s 28 days I’ve been off contraception not 23.

1992EM · 03/11/2020 17:45

@SJ789 sorry I can't help cycle wise but I would start taking opks on cd1 which would be first day of AF if and when it shows. That way you have a clear idea and can start recording when you ovulate. I was told when coming off the pill it can take a while to get normal cycles back so hopefully that will happen soon for you.

@Jessi60 good luck 💕

SJ789 · 03/11/2020 18:02

@1992EM that makes a lot of sense thank you! My brain has been so muddled lately trying to work out what's happening I don't know whether I'm coming or going 😂 x

AHobbyaweek · 03/11/2020 20:16

Would like to join in too. Been using natural cycles as birth control for 6 months after implant to let my cycle become more regular. Now "trying without the pressure" according to DH so I'm already obsessed as I can see all my data in the app Blush
Still not sure it is the right time with work being busy (DH stays at home) and finances. Could be better but my DD is 5 and don't want to have a very large gap.

Toastedsesame · 04/11/2020 11:55

@AHobbyaweek Its so hard not to get obsessed though isn't it? Especially when you track anyway so you know when you should be DTD! My DH will get suspicious if I want it more than once/twice a week tho Grin

AHobbyaweek · 04/11/2020 12:44

I know trying to not get obsessed as the app is waiting to confirm ovulation yesterday by temp and LH says I did.

Smushty14 · 04/11/2020 13:59

Hello ladies! Hope there is room for one more 😊

CD1 today and hoping for a good month!

Pollyell · 04/11/2020 21:25

Hope you don't mind if I join too.

Currently CD 7, 6 weeks post implant removal - going to attempt the "sperms meets egg plan" this month so gearing up for a busy couple of weeks...

AHobbyaweek · 04/11/2020 21:38

Good to see others joining!

2021hopeful · 04/11/2020 22:04

Yay! Loads of other ladies planning a busy few weeks! Grin

I’m CD6 and we’re going to attempt to dtd every other day! I just really don’t want it to become a chore! Haha. Who said romance is dead?!

Do any of you ladies take any supplements? I’m currently just taking pregnacare and extra folic acid. I’ve read good things about COQ-10 but there’s contradicting info about the dosage.

Just pregnacare. Thinks that’s more than enough personally ☺️xx

Hi everyone I'm new here I was just wondering if anyone could give me any advice. Me & my husband have decided to try for a baby, I came off the mini pill cerelle near the end of Sept (before we decided we wanted another baby) and have been having unprotected sex since coming off the pill. I stopped the pill because I ran out and was waiting for an appointment to get some more when we decided to try, anyway I got an appointment with the nurse n explained my situation and she asked me to do a pregnancy test n obviously it came back negative but what I wanted to ask was has anyone came off n fell pregnant before their periods returned because I still haven't had a period and I'm starting to worry incase it's a sign it's too late for me to have another baby (I'm 37) if anyone has when did you take a test or how long should I leave it to test again?
Sorry for the long post it's just all strange to me as with my other kids I was just on the normal pill then came off when we decided to have kids n it happened pretty quick but it's all different since coming off this pill. Tia xx

AHobbyaweek · 04/11/2020 22:27

I'm taking supplements too but folic acid only and a high dose as I have had lots of times of folate deficiency anemia and I don't seem to get it from food properly.

jessi60 · 04/11/2020 22:53

@Jj130816 not the pill but the implant but guess it’s similar. I had my implant out on the 23rd September and still waiting for a period. It’s completely normal. Hormonal contraception can really mess up your cycle.

It is possible to fall pregnant without a period first but unlikely. I would Atleast give it Atleast another couple of weeks before you test Xx

Halli2020 · 04/11/2020 23:27

I am still waiting for my period to return after my ectopic surgery a month ago. Once it returns I'll start testing for ovulation and try again!

AHobbyaweek · 05/11/2020 08:10

App has finally worked out I ovulated on CD12, now on CD16. Thankfully was a bit busy DTD around the right time so fingers crossed. Now to wait....

tired578 · 05/11/2020 08:13

Hi all!

Hope it's ok to join. My period finished Monday and I wasn't expecting to ovulate till next week however this test is throwing me. Anyone else think that's positive ovulation?

kirinm · 05/11/2020 09:06

CD10 for me and I think I'm due to ovulate Saturday. Nothing very exciting to report unfortunately.

kirinm · 05/11/2020 09:06

I would say that is close to a peak. Do you have short cycles?
tired578 · 05/11/2020 09:38

@kirinm sometimes! Last cycle was 28 days and before that 25 and 26!

AHobbyaweek · 05/11/2020 14:24

Looks close to me. I downloaded the premom app for free and it takes pictures and compares the lines for you.

AHobbyaweek · 05/11/2020 22:09

I keep getting "is it a good idea" thoughts. I have anxiety anyways but I keep thinking, shall we save more, is my career at risk (main breadwinner), should we wait. When DD is 5 I just feel we should go for no. 2 but still get worries. Anyone else? Is there a right time?

Toastedsesame · 05/11/2020 22:40

@AHobbyaweek Yep, constantly have a wobble about whether we are doing the right thing. I've only just started a new job, DH isnt on great money... Covid and everything. But on the other hand I'm 34, I have health issues and we have a 3yo and don't want a big age gap so we don't want to wait any longer.

A lot of people say if you wait for the perfect time you'll never do it.

AHobbyaweek · 05/11/2020 22:41

It's hard right? When is the right time. I worried about it last time and it worked out great but still worry!
