Negative test 6dpo

I know, I know, shouldn't have tested, prat! But now I've caved I've got a negative feeling. No symptoms at all, nada. I need some serious talking to in order to refrain from testing again until at least Thursday . Anyone else testing then too that I can handhold with?

Hey hope you don’t mind me jumping on! I’m 7DPO going out of my mind. Have crazy sore boobs so did a test and thought it was negative. Came back 10-15 mins later and thought I saw a second line and now I’m going crazy 😂😂 who knew baby making could make you into an absolute emotional crazy mess!

I’ll test Wednesday which I should roughly be 6dpo then! I’ve had a couple of light cramps and bloating but like you all wondering if I’m just making myself believe I have symptoms 🙄 When I tested the other day at 2dpo (think I ovulated earlier) I could see a line which looks like an indent line but it’d be the only one out of the pack of 30 which I could see this strip under light 🤨 does anyone else always have the feeling this month will be the one and it just isn’t 😩😩

@Sweetk0987poiu sorry to jump in but there's absolutely no way you'd have a line at 2dpo unless you ovulated earlier and you're actually over 6dpo but good luck 🤞

Is anyone BBT tracking? The fear every morning of temp staying high 🙄🤞😭🤦‍♀️

@xk1991x BBT tracking is taking your temperature every morning you wake up using a Basel thermometer (one that measures to 2 decimal places). The day after you ovulate your temperature will rise and stay high for the rest of your cycle. It usually then drops the day before your period arrives. It is what most people call "natural cycles" when they use this method to avoid pregnancy. Most ladies trying will use OPK tests to detect LH hormone each day. Then the temperature rise confirms ovulation has actually happen.

Attached is my chart from this month. You can see after I got a peak on my ovulation test, my temperature has risen and stayed up, meaning ovulation definitely happened. Ovulation/OPK tests only show your body is trying to ovulate, not that you actually have. So taking your temp is the only real way to be sure 🙂

@AMS19 thank you so much, I didn't know any of this. Next cycle i'm going to give this a go. My cycles are pretty irregular, anywhere between 24-28 days which I put down to 13 years of the pill but hopefully bbt tracking might help me work out my fertile days

6dpo for me today - BFN this morning.

Although I have my crazy line eyes on 👀

I woke up sickly hungry but pretty energised after being in bed at 830 last night.

(.)(.) Are still heavy and I've had lower back pain for a few days.

Other than that nothing much to report at this side.

@ForGoodnessCake I don’t think you would ever get a positive at 6dpo on a regular pregnancy test. You would maybe on a first response early test and even that is really really unlikely. So your deffo not ruled out.

I know people who didn’t get positives until after their periods are late. Everyone is so different xx

My understanding is your body only starts producing HCG after implantation and that only happens 7-8 DPO. So I would be surprised if even a FRER picked anything up. It's not impossible, just extremely unlikely!

This thread is making me want to try a test, I'm 8dpo and feeling nausea and thought I had a tiny implantation spot yesterday similar to my previous pregnancy. I was going to wait until thurs with a frer but might use a cheapie just to see!

I’m 10dpo and due AF tomorrow and just tested negative. I did feel like this month was finally the month but obv jumped the gun a bit

@AMS19 I keep testing and should just wait it out I know. My cycles are on average 32 days long which makes the wait even longer.
When I was pregnant with DS it wasn’t planned and I only found out when I started vomiting but now we are trying it’s been months and not even a hint of a line!

It’s so disheartening, I was so positive I was going to be pregnant this month and now I’m starting to doubt it. I too got pregnant without trying last time so just thought it would be the same this time.

I know it's far to early but I do it because I'm an absolute psycho 😜

That's why I use IC just because I'm addicted hahaha I'm only going by clue app as to when I ovulated so could have been sooner or later, but 6dpo according to that - I won't crack a FR until at least Friday hahahah

Holding off until next Wednesday if I can resist! 7dpo now
