Not counting anything yet - had line this time last year - and it continued after mc, with associated worry of a 2nd mp - and after 1st mp (pre ds), didn't count anything for ages with ds - kept going from one test to another thinking that it would all go wrong again (and now look what's asleep seraf-like upstairs - never believe he's a little devil at times)

Sybil - its the maternity leave that really costs a lot - £7k down last time and that was without any nursery fees or anything else like that....

Going to have to really get my Pampered Chef working (its going quite well at the moment) so can take a bit of time off but also start bringing something in during 6 months off!

Morning everyone else - how are we all today - it's a beautiful morning through my office window today

I am officially in the 2ww now as my temperature rose this morning..

Ds currently has Freddie monster and Jessie monster accompanying him around. The other evening he was getting frightened with 'Monsters Coming!' (quite where he's got this I don't know) - so I thought that I would invent a friendly monster to look after him and frighten the nasty ones away. Jessie was introduced by ds shortly afterwards, but I don't know what Jessie looks like (Freddie is black and pink). Ds had to go and let them into the bathroom at bathtime last night as Freddie needed a bath!

Won't be getting excited for sometime yet. Been here before, and so far 2-1 against anything positive, so not getting hopes up.

Dh, when I told him, said 'you can't be... we didn't....' - I reminded him that it was only once! (yes, I have been counting)

MT - DS sounds so cute! I've got everything crossed that this is a sticky one for you!

I think that he would probably make a fantastic big brother most of the time. However, if it isn't sticky, he's a fantastic os - everyone on this link who's still waiting for #1, its worth waiting for!

BTW, sorry, I seem to have started something with more people ttc no2 onwards on this thread - and I only followed Kensgirl to start with to give her some encouragement.

hey MT - Hopefully it will be sticky and will be a little angel like your darling DS!

Did you put 1 stone in the first 10 weeks last time? How does the weight thing work when you're pregnant - do you feel more hungry and therefore eat more and put weight on or is it a hormonal change which means you put on weight even though you eating hte same as you always do? .. I have this naive notion that I can just not eat much and stay the same size other than the bump..
