Sorry kensgirl

PiggyPenguin · 13/10/2007 19:47

Blimey it's quiet in here today. Hope you are all ok. Love the new title although I feel a bit ashamed to admit I only possess the pregnacare.

Anyone else started knitting their scarfs yet?

Ready · 14/10/2007 11:35

Oh Kensgirl, I am really sorry sweets. Big hugs xx

Sybil - I have a half finished scarf in a box somewhere, I really must get round to finishing it. I am naff at casting off which is why I keep procrastinating
I only have the pregnacare at the moment too - I keep forgetting to buy grapefruit juice and when I do remember, I keep forgetting to drink it! And the brazil nuts are too irresistable to me I end up eating them all - Got DH on Vits A,C,E, Selenium and Zinc though

How is everyone??

I have to say I know nothing about rugby, but wasn't it exciting to beat the French yesterday!!

nomoremagnolia · 14/10/2007 12:41

ooh the rugby - YES!!!
DH rang me this morning (I'm away without him this w/e) and said "I've got a hangover and it's all Jonny's fault!" Apparently everyone was partying in the streets til 3am Can't wait for next weekend!!

nomoremagnolia · 14/10/2007 12:45

Ready tell all your friends - We've made history by being first team to get the chance to defend our title in the final, and could be the first to win the world cup twice in a row [very hopeful]. That'll make you sound like you know all about rugby (like all I know about football )

OP posts:
nomoremagnolia · 14/10/2007 12:47

the only other thing you need to know is Jonny's the yummy one (don't tell DH I said that - he'll be more uspet that I'm not taking the rugby seriously than he will be jealous!!)

Funnily enough Nomore - I even remember EXACTLY where I was when England won the World Cup last time!! Driving past Coventry, and I even cheered out the window

I still have no clue about the game, but the patriotism kicks in WOO!!

Ready · 14/10/2007 14:59

Where is everyone???

Ready · 14/10/2007 15:06

Ok... you have all forced me to go shopping for ridiculously expensive baby items

not too expensive??

Ready · 14/10/2007 15:08

OK! Even I can see how mental it would be to buy hand wash only cashmere for a baby

Ready · 14/10/2007 15:09

swoooooooon

Ready · 14/10/2007 15:17

OK, I had better stop

Ready · 14/10/2007 15:20

ok, just one more

scorpio1 · 14/10/2007 18:35

Hee hee love the titles of your threads!!

Hope you are all well?

nomoremagnolia · 14/10/2007 20:04

OK Ready DH has put me right, I don't know as much as I thought about the rugby world cup (or maybe I shouldn't believe everything I read...) We're not the first to be defending out title - Oz did that last time, but if we win it will be a historic victory as no team has held the title for more than one world cup.
I was hiding behind my duvet on the sofa when England won last time - I couldn't watch!!
Hi Scorpio how are you?

toomuchtimeonline · 15/10/2007 11:50

mistlethrush · 15/10/2007 12:35

Ready - I love the snowsuits, particularly the pale blue one!

Snowsuits led to the only time I've had to go to A&E with ds - only way to get them in easily is to 'starfish' the suit on floor and put dc on top and then start to try to get limbs into relevant holders - we were going out for a walk so ds starfished on hall floor. Dog getting excited on stairs behind us. DH looks out of the window by the front door, sees cat - tells dog who jumps over ds at great speed, catching his scalp with her claws as she went. Much blood, unhappy ds and me shouting at dh... Luckily it was within his hairline - we had washed copiously then I took him to the minor injuries unit (quicker than A&E - 5min wait) - by the time we got there, he had forgotten about it and the nurse just washed off a bit more but left open as it had been caused by a claw - you can see the scar only when you wash his hair as his hair falls forwards at the front so its well hidden. Not impressed by dh's lack of foresight though, very at the time!

scorpio1 · 15/10/2007 13:06
