Gilly - I'm 39 today - so you've got a long way to go yet! Isn't it strange how dates cluster - similarly with me and mp probs /birthday/ mc - and ds's bday only 6 days off originally edd (2 yrs later)

And, no, I'm not rushing out in my lunch hour to go and get a test. Its waited 3 days (with me trying not to think about things and wondering what date should have been when nothing happened at w/e.... You'll all just have to wait a bit longer

nomoremagnolia · 16/10/2007 14:36

Happy birthday MT
Promise you'll test tonight though, don't make us wait til tomorrow....

Will have to test tonight as will otherwise drink some wine to stop cough (well, at least I don't notice it as much). Even if +ve, long way to go. Was here more or less last year....

And dh is going out this evening and hasn't even bought me a birthday card. Mind you, he has had flu for about a week.

nomoremagnolia · 16/10/2007 15:04

BFP would be a great (albeit belated) birthday pressie though fingers crossed for BFP and for it to be a sticky one

Oh Gilly I am sorry, but sometimes these dates turn around. My edd for the mc was Sun.29th Sept. and when I got my new bfp I realised I must have been (very slightly) pg when I spent the whole day crying about wanting another baby.

And MT how laid back are you? I would have peed-on-a-stick in Boots by now, we are dying of anticipation...

I even walked straight through Boots without a backward glance (had been delivering DH's sick note to excuse him missing OU exam).

Came back through shops wanting to get ds a belt in Mothercare as I don't want him going round with his crotch at knee level - I'm sure we'll have enought of that when he's a teenager - to find it has closed - so went to Adams - also closed. So ds will have to continue with pants showing around the top of his trousers that are falling down... (he has suddenly shot up and now no longer in washable nappies, there is nothing to hang the trousers from!)

TJuice · 16/10/2007 17:20

dare i venture out of the ttc after mc into here?

hope its okay i join you.
me, i am 32, british but live in scandinavia. got pregnant this summer but had an mc in august. have had one scanty af and am on cd30 but think my cycles are buggered.

have gone from a post-mc tramatised obsession with ttc and diet, to mellowing out a lot and drinking wine, soft cheese and all kinds of other naughties. am now thinking it time to get on the grapefruit juice and brazil nuts and start peeing on sticks.

has anyone else heard about keeping low-gi and stable blood sugar will help fertility? am curious as this month has been all about the chocolate . . . .

Hi TJuice welcome to the world of ttc no1 How long have you been ttc?
sybil I have a mental image of you squatting to pee on the test in the aisle of boots!! Takes the eating grapes in the supermarket debate to a whole new level
Ready you around to go shopping?
shoes hiya - how's life in the UAE? Hope you can get on here soon, thinking of you MT any news???

maybe for next year...

OP posts:
mistlethrush · 16/10/2007 19:35

Things get even stranger... One of ds's last comments to me before bed was 'you've got a baby in your tummy'... 15 mins later very feint bfp. But not celebrating - just on edge and now no longer able to justify breaching birthday bottle of wine that dh left in fridge before deserting me.

Don't know how we're going to afford a second, but it might be a bit late to consider that now.

nomoremagnolia · 16/10/2007 20:46

YAY!! A lines a line as they say
congratulations

TJuice · 16/10/2007 20:49

mistlethrush - well done you. please be chuffed, its amazing. (but i am completely naive and my sabateur friends with kids tell me that they are really not that expensive)

PiggyPenguin · 16/10/2007 20:58

MT, congratulations!! I know it can be really scary initially when reality and that bfp dawns, but you will be fine and the second is much cheaper than the first - honest, you already have all the stuff!

We are thrilled for you, well done.
