TTC plus size?

Hi lovelies..
just scrolling through Mumsnet as usual 😂🙈 and one thing has come to mind...
Is anybody else classed as 'plus size' and TTC currently?

I'm a size 20-22 in some clothes, and am trying to make a conscious effort to eat healthier etc to make TTC and falling pregnant a little easier for me.
I was just wondering if anybody else is in / has been in the same boat? If so, how long it took to fall pregnant etc etc.

I'm more worried about not looking 'pregnant' or having a nice little bump when the time finally comes 😂🙈🤷🏼‍♀️ these things play on my mind!

Xx

Ttc #1 as size 16/BMI 34. I am also 38. Feeling a bit disheartened as it took us 8 months to conceive and then I had a mc in December. Still waiting for my period after that! Obv bmi can have an impact on mc risk so I am walking a lot and trying to lose weight. It is really good to hear that high bmi women have conceived quickly and had healthy pregnancies as I am definitely feeling a bit like my weight might have been a factor in the time to conceive and the mc. Hope you are all doing well and hopefully got your bfps!

Hey all I'd like to join... TTC #1 for 10 months. My BMI is 31. I'm currently starting a low carb diet to lose weight. Only lost a couple of kg so far. I know I'm not far from the BMI cutoff for fertility treatments (30) etc, but I've heard other people say that they got pregnant when they lost weight, so I want to give myself my best shot.

@andpeggy1
Thank you! Labour itself was a bit traumatic, however I was so well looked after and made to feel as though I was the most important person in the world. I had a really positive experience overall and am looking forward to hopefully doing it again one day.

Me and Amelia are doing really well. A bit lonely with lockdown, wishing we could see grandparents, but managing ok and looking ahead to a time when we can hug everyone again!

Hello all! It's been a few months now solve starting this thread and wondered how's everyone getting on?

Cause of the snow in February, my implant wasn't able to be removed till beginning of March! So this is my first month of tv. My body I feel is still getting use to loosing the implant (I've had them none stop since I was 18, now 33) so very much doubt I'll be getting my impatient wish of falling pregnant at the first go 😂

I was overweight when I started trying for no.#2 I have PCOS too but in between my fertile windows I just focussed on losing weight I needed another focus coz I was driving myself crazy as my FW was 4 weeks after CD1 then I'd have the 2ww so with a 6 week cycle I needed a distraction but I knew I needed something I could stick to too - I love chips and crisps and cheese too much to go in a proper diet ( it's not really carbs in general that are bad for PCOS it's sugar as it causes insulin resistance) So I cut out sugar (I prefer fatty food to sweet food anyway) and I changed some bits like Edam cheese has less fat than cheddar, a wrap instead of two slices of bread at lunch, boiled egg whites only but mainly I just reduced my portion size- that was my main issue it wasn't what I was eating it was how much -once I realised this I started weighing my food making sure I ate the right amount not too little and not too much soon I knew by sight how much I could have -in 6 months I was at the lower end of overweight and conceived the month after unfortunately we found out at 13 weeks that the baby was really poorly and had to have a TFMR I was heartbroken but as I'd had really bad morning sickness my weight had just got to a healthy range (totally the wrong way to do it I know but I really struggled to keep anything down that first trimester)! I've stuck to my changes but as the gyms are closed and I went from not being able to eat much to eating normally again I have out some weight back on but not much! Good luck all
