@MimiArm how was your scan?

I'm CD 13 but I wonder if I ovulated yesterday as I had some bleeding late on. Its gone now. It was after we dtd though (but a couple of hours) so? Dunno. I usually do 11 or 12 though. I've not really been tracking (I knew it was fw) and didn't realise what day i was on exactly. We did more dtd this month (with no force needed at all). Cd 8, 10, 11, 12 🤣 I've been taking EPO and I've just started seven seas but literally only the other day.

How's everyone else? @MrsTwentyEight Are you still poorly?

@paintfairy Hey. The scan didn't go to plan. The consultant said I was measuring at 5 weeks. He could see the gestational sac and said it looked good and was well implanted. But couldn't see any yolk yet. I thought I was 6 weeks by using last period date. But apparently it depends on length of cycle and when you ovulated. My last two cycles were 25 days, but before that they ranged from 24-32, with one being 61. I don't know when I ovulated either. I had a positive OPK on CD8 of that cycle, but felt it was way too early. I still had EWCM for at least a week after that.

So I could well have only been 5 weeks but of course I've been thinking the worst. He said it's 50/50, either date is wrong in which case all looks good, or date isn't wrong and it stopped growing at 5 weeks.

He said it's positive I still have symptoms I've to go back in 2 weeks for another scan and will know for sure then.

Meantime, I'm still testing positive, boobs still sore, lower back still sore and still emotional. Gonna be hardest two weeks wait.

Sounds like you have yourself well covered for this month! Fingers crossed!!

@MimiArm try not to worry. I fully suspect the date is just wrong. I think it happens all the time. Hence why so many go overdue! I reckon many really aren't and they don't come out big either. It's all a guessing game with some indicators at the end of the day. Which is why some people also struggle ttc if they are only dtd when they think ovulation is. Because you could be wrong. I do try to dtd before and after when I think my FW is, for that very reason (admittedly it doesn't always go that way!).

Yesterday we dropped the giant dog off at his new home. Tears all round. House feels empty without him!

@paintfairy I know - before the scan I was hopeful that everything would be ok. I haven't felt any excitement since now because I feel like I'm going to be getting bad news and if I allow myself to feel happy, I'm just kidding myself. It's awful. I wasn't prepared for how worrying pregnancy is.

You're so right though - deffo need to DTD before and after. We always had a dry spell after FW - worn out haha!

Aw, I'd feel the exact same leaving the dog off. You did such a good thing. Will you foster anymore?

@MimiArm I think worrying about pregnancy is likely worse than worrying about ttc! 🤣 I have no idea why we assume it'll all be some magical experience. Honestly try not to panic, distract yourself.

Absolutely not! Never again. The rescue woman is an absolute bitch. No interest in him or his welfare. Which i found really hard because clearly we did have and yet had no control over the situation. She never asked how he was and barely communicated with me. I never asked for money (she never offered) and I've not even had a thank you. I sent her a massive long message because he actually bit here several times (he's not bad, he just needs things ironing out) and her only reply was- so you want me to move him now? (No, i never said that at all) with no comment about him biting or asking how my husband was or how serious it was. Nothing. And that's the first time I'd really bothered to message. We just got on with it. Luckily we aren't idiots and I know how to deal with things. We seriously considered keeping him.
It was also too hard letting him go. So that's us done now. I know where he is and fingers crossed its a good home. I've told them as much as I can (again, they've received no help from her) and any issues they are to let me know and I'll help if I can. Heartbreaking, the whole thing.

@MimiArm I'm sorry it wasn't a clear cut scan! I can't even begin to imagine this type of TWW! Crossing all my fingers that the dates are just wrong xx

@MrsTwentyEight please tell me you're on the mend?

@paintfairy are you still temping this cycle? Does it look like you're 2DPO?

I'm 7DPO now - RHR went up one and temp dropped by 0.2 today so god knows what's going on. This has probably been the most zen first half of TWW I've had in a while though and it feels good to be on day 11 of dry jan!

@Juno231 no, I've given up tracking. The spotting pointed to day 12 O though, which is about right. I will dtd anyway again later, to cover all bases.

Ooohhh I've had a load of fertility forms drop through the post! No letter in with it, random. So just got to fill in 1000 questionnaires each and send them back i guess. Assume then they will be in touch? Nice to have clarity. 🤣

@paintfairy oh that's interesting - I've had none! Just a letter telling me about my appointment.

@Juno231 it generically says that the appointments currently given will be phone. And these forms are usually completed at the appointment. Therefore they need them in advance.

Finally on the mend today! After 10 days of fevers! Now I have no idea when I'm going to OV as my body probably thinks this month I shouldn't ?! CB digital is a blank circle today on CD20....will DTD today or tomorrow as I've not had a chance to think of it yet ha! Or had the energy...good Lord it was awful
And I definitely got it from work as I work in a hospital 🙁

@MrsTwentyEight glad you are ok! Makes sense illness delays ovulation. But you might get a stronger one because of it, when it finally does come.

@MrsTwentyEight so glad you're okay! on the bright side... was it an effective post christmas diet?? I had swine flu at uni and remember losing more than half a stone in a week - the only good thing to come out of it! Get some BD in and hopefully your body can focus on ovulation soon xx

@MimiArm jesus I can't believe it's only been 2 days since your update. What's the date of the next scan?

10DPO here, stupidly caved in and tested with an IC mid afternoon (??) with diluted wee and obviously got a BFN. Honestly... No self control here. RHR is still high (and in fact went up one from yesterday) and temp is well above the coverline so we'll see what happens.

@Juno231 I'm a bit less angry but I feel horrific today. I lost my vision a bit this afternoon. And my head is killing. Feel a little better now though. Had a lie down. I never feel optimistic about your stats any more. 😂 They trick you. I've given up checking.

Idiot here didn't fill in the zika/ebola form (didn't acknowledge it was a form) from the fertility people, so they've requested that today. Another delay. I'm a knob. 🙄

@MrsTwentyEight Glad to hear you're on the mend and I'm sure your body will get back to normal before long.

@Juno231 my scan is next Saturday, 23rd. The wait is over halfway over at least. Still have sore boobs and am more tired than normal. CB digitals are still showing 3+ as well. Still also getting the short sharp shooting pains when I sneeze or get up too fast (which I understand is round ligament pain). So 🤞

@paintfairy That's good you've had all the fertility forms - seems like things are moving at least.

We put our house up for sale at the end of last week as we need more room, more so for the dogs. We already have 7 viewers booked in for next week so that's a good sign. Have found a house we love so hoping our house sells fast. At least it's taking my mind off my wait until my scan (somewhat anyways)

@MimiArm wow, I hope you don't end up moving around the time you are due! 🤣 I'm still traumatised from when we moved and it was almost 3 years ago now. House is still a shithole mind. Will my hall ever be plastered? 🙈

Yes hopefully at some point I'll get some answers. If they make me repeat the blood tests too soon though, I'll actually cry. 🤣 8dpo for me. So AF due next weekend. I've remained in a vile mood, which is not ideal when my birthday is this week. 🤣

So I had spotting around CD 17-19 and I always have this when I have an illness...is this ovulation spotting ? Does that happen before or after ovulation? I had a static smiley on CD22 randomly but basically only managed to DTD today on CD24 so I'm sure this month has gone! Back to another Feb bus 🤣

Any plans for birthday @paintfairy ?

Hmmm. Could be a cycle that you haven't ovulated so the spotting is to do with that? Wild hormones. I spotted all the way through my dodgy cycle after a point. I usually spot in my lp but sometimes I do spot around ovulation. I think the same day or maybe the one after. It's really hard to tell. Last month I spotted on the Sunday. I thought that day was O day anyway with opk. Yet I had a 15 day LP, if that was true. God knows. 🤣

@MrsTwentyEight what about your birthday plans? I've been doing dry jan so the only thing I want to do on my birthday is to drink wine all day.

CD1 today! Getting anxious about that fertility appointment now as it's finally hit home that it's happening. Mind you I still need to call them this week as they have yet to acknowledge that covid may have changed how it takes place 😅

@paintfairy what is up with you this cycle! Vision impairment from a migraine... Sounds pretty serious no?

@Juno231 I have had it before. Stress probably. Not often, so who knows? I had another headache Saturday night (I often get them from my neck, do struggle with my back at times). DH was being a mard arse and wouldn't rub it (usually helps) so I ended up going to bed at 7.30pm and just sleeping it off. Never normally sleep that long! But felt better Sunday. I have noticed too (from apps) that they tend to be more likely to happen in my LP.

Although I am awaiting my fertility appointment date, and I want it to be soon, part of me actually doesn't at all! 😂 I'm dreading it.

As for birthdays. Yuck. I'm working on mine. Don't see the point booking it off? Weather looks shocking. So what can we do exactly? Get drunk. That's about it. Might get a pub type takeaway. Poor options really.

Just had a phone call! My fertility phone appointment is 9th Feb. So not long at all!

@paintfairy brilliant! only 6 days after me! Did they say if it was going to be over the phone or in person? I tried calling the gynaecology dept at my hospital to enquire about the appointment but no one picked up the phone lol.

@Juno231 Ah cool, I wasn't sure when yours was. Just know it was Feb.
All the way along mine was going to be via phone. Which is why all the forms needed doing before.

@paintfairy ah yes sorry, I forgot! Kinda wish mine had been from the start too!
