Ladies the thread got too big so I have started a new one hope you don't mind, I will cart the list and the tonnes of baby dust over in a minute.......................

OP posts:
spookykitty · 04/10/2007 13:06

mcchesers - hello and long time no see, glad your period has started in a way as you now have a cycle and your nearly my cycle buddy so you can keep me company at the top of the thread

muppet - good luck on the fertility monitor, I'm not using opks this cycle (or I'm saying that now) just going to use EWCM and the good old fashioned loads of sex method. Maybe stress stopped me getting pregnant I don't know.

Excitable - you never know it isn't over until the evil witch comes a-calling. FWIW I have never had any symptoms and have been pregnant 3 times so you could be.

TS - have you got over the shock yet?

I have decided to throw out my old double buggy, it was my spare one given to me by a friend I sold my other one a while back I had planned on getting a P&T's for DD2 and this new baby but she will be at least 2 1/2 when and if it comes along so I might not need a dreaded double. Might get a lovely single buggy instead SK looking on bright side and DD1 will be almost 4 so can help out a bit (she will anyway she thinks she is 13)

spookykitty · 04/10/2007 13:08

penny - that is strange when I had a chemical pregnancy I had v v faint line day AF was due, 2 days later BFN then AF turned up a week late (never been known) and a bit heavier. Do you think you should speak to you GP about it? I do think your not pregnant though sorry but at least you can join us in our quest for a Halloween BFP.

Excitable · 04/10/2007 13:09

Oh TS don't tell me that! Now even if I have a symptom, I'll think that means I'm not pregnant!!

PB I think I would come to the same conclusion. Damn our enigmatic bodies! There's just no way of knowing anything, is there? (((Hugs))) for you if you're feeling sad and confused. Wish I knew more, but suspect it wouldn't help if I did...

PennyBenjamin · 04/10/2007 13:14

Thanks for the hugs! Will take a few weeks to get a GP appointment, so think I will make one, but just carry on as normal in the meantime.

Could I be the first person ever to get a false positive!?!?!

TwilightSurfer · 04/10/2007 13:26

Spooky shock still here! Will probably subside in a few weeks when I'm yakking my guts out.

Penny your tale is a one in a million. I've NEVER heard of what sounds like a false positive. From all you've written it really doesn't sound like you had a chemical pregnancy. Maybe you had a magical stick and that magical stick allowed you a peek at this cycle's outcome. You could be 25 days away from BFP!!! Excitable deep breath...breath-in breath-out...you're going to be just fine. Promise!

TheMuppetMuggle · 04/10/2007 13:37

PB sorry to read your not pregnant but join us on the quest for Halloween baby!

McCheesers Hi how are you long time no post!!

SK Thanks about the monitor but i can't get the hang of EWCM and cervix checking!! i sound dim i know but my brain can't get the hang of it!!!

Excitable your poor DH - but its better to have a happy wife than a sad and grumpy one

josey · 04/10/2007 14:04

PB how strange your mind must be spinning your sounding very poss though.

Excitable you are making me dizzy

PennyBenjamin · 04/10/2007 14:19

I like TS's suggestion that I've had a magical look into the future! Only 22 days to go!

I am feeling quite positive today actually. To be honest, AF arrived, so I was resigned to not being pregnant anyway, and while I'm not sure what happened, it is almost a relief to know that those tests can sometimes say something other than BFN!

I guess also, even if I was only pregnant for a moment, at least it means that it can happen.

fairysnuff · 04/10/2007 14:50

More {hugs} for you PB, what a yucky thing to be going through.
But that was my thinking when I thought I might have had a chemical pregnancy last month, at least I had something going on in there

What is this cervix checking thingy???
How do you do that? What am I meant to be looking for?

All my OPK's come back negative. Cheap ebay things, I don't trust em. I am probably not peeing at the right time of day or I pee'ed too soon earlier so my pee is weak or............

Trying to trust EWCM but haven't really seen any this month except CD8 but that seems awful early?
So might try some cervix checking, maybe

TheMuppetMuggle · 04/10/2007 14:52

FS cervix checking all details on 2ww thread

TwilightSurfer · 04/10/2007 17:24

Fairysnuff if you're seeing EWCM at CD8 don't discount it as "too early". If you are in your twenties that stuff could last for up to 5 days meaning you'd be most fertile CD8-CD13. If you're using OPK's and following their "mid-cycle one fits all" rule, you might be missing YOUR TIME. An early OV would give you (i believe) a greater chance at a really healthy pregnancy because your lutenal (?spelling) phase would be greater...adding more cushion to your womb. With my DD1 I BDed ONCE at CD9 going by EWCM and won the prize (on my second cycle of ttc). Unfortunately it did take me 13 cycles this time but I'm older and my bodies gone through some changes. Go off you gut feeling!!

TwilightSurfer · 04/10/2007 17:26

oops
my body's
NOT
my bodies

I DO NOT HAVE MORE THAN ONE!
LOL

Bucky2007 · 04/10/2007 17:27

Ooh Twilight that's really interesting I had EWCM yesterday and BD'd in case but I thought it was too early really . I am old though (well in ttc terms as I am 35). I guess we'll see.

TwilightSurfer · 04/10/2007 17:37

Bucky2007 I'm 36 (old in baby making years). This cycle my EWCM showed evening of CD11 so BDed morning of CD12. CRAMPED like %@$$ evening of CD13 and morning of CD14 so BDed again the evening of CD14 (cramps had stopped) then topped it all off with one last BD the morning of CD15. HAD I BEEN using those OPK things (with a 31 day cycle) I would have missed my egg chance.

ladylush · 04/10/2007 18:01

I don't think doctors call 36 old these days. On the day of my erpc I mentioned my geriatric eggs to the dr (I am 35)but she said 35 is still young.

TheMuppetMuggle · 04/10/2007 18:06

TS I'm in my early-mid twenties but i don't really recall seeing alot of EWCM is that bad

TMM somebody wrote on the first section of this thread that EWCM can often "hide" (stay close to the cervix) so some may never see it. Somebody else wrote that theirs was more watery than goooy so it might not "look" like what you'd expect. At your age though, according to web research, you should have it for three to four more days longer than those of us in our 30s.

spookykitty · 04/10/2007 18:55

sorry you have had to join me at the top of the list ladylush but we are cycle buddies now and hopefully we will get BFPs on the same day, how long is your cycle mine is 27 days

Nakamura · 04/10/2007 19:52

Hi everyone, thought I'd check in again but don't have much to say - I guess things mostly get exciting during the 2ww...

Although I'm not even sure about my cycle yet - anyone else had issues with their cycle settling down after coming off the pill or other hormone contraception?

I seem to remember way back when I used to get ovulation pains on my right hand side, so I'm hoping that'll happen again and give me a clue as to what's going on

Bucky2007 · 04/10/2007 20:30

Twilightsurfer I have a 31 day cycle at the moment too. For some reason I though that the LP had to be 14 days so I just figured I was ov around CD16/17? It would seem my cervix is soft too and digitalgirl knowledgably (sp?) informs me that a soft cervix means I'm fertile too...so maybe I am? who would have thought...I thought I was BDing too early at CD17!

fairysnuff · 04/10/2007 20:56

Ooh! How exciting!!
Went to loo to discover EWCM after I had posted, so what your saying could add up, for me, TS!!

Yeah! DH and I have been BDing like mad uns, since CD8, too!! Not every day though, someone said that watered the wee guys down?
Oh, that reminds me of the other thread and the mental images of slow girl swimmers (chins held high) and fast boys

Started another thread cos DD has decided that she doesn't want boob anymore, all of a sudden. And they said that their LO refused the boob suddenly too, and it turned out they were pregnant.
I had heard that your milk changes almost immediately and that LO's will often know before you do. Dunno where I heard it though and can find nothing on the net to back it up.
So, really pleased that at least someone has had the same experience.
And now you are saying that.......

See, I told you I wanted to join the 2ww before I was due to
Symptom spotting madness has begun!

fairysnuff · 04/10/2007 20:57

BD like a mad un bucky!!!!

TwilightSurfer · 04/10/2007 21:10

Sounds to me like Bucky2007 and Fairysnuff will be graduating soon.

fairysnuff · 04/10/2007 21:12

ooh.... I hope so!!
When woudl I be due, june? or late may?
