Ladies the thread got too big so I have started a new one hope you don't mind, I will cart the list and the tonnes of baby dust over in a minute.......................

OP posts:
bloodsuckingLOONEY · 12/10/2007 09:29

Sorry I've not been around, found it easier to forget we're ttc and just get on with business as usual minus the pill

But I thought I'd pop in and see how others are doing. Congrats to those BFP's so far

Fingers crossed to everyone.

MissusH - how long are you cycles normally? Interested as we're cycle buddies and both also ttc number 2 and on 3rd cycle

Well, god knows when my AF is due. First cycle post pill was 32 days, 2nd was 25 days and this is day 26 so could be anytime now. I don't like not knowing when it's coming....on the pill not only would I KNOW what day it would be but I'd also be pretty sure what time of day it was too.

Anyway, no time to read through the many messages but hope everyone is ok and I'll be thinking of you all.

Lots of baby dust! (i spent ages trying to get a nice pattern and it didn't come out right )

Morning, thanks all for your comments. As most of you know 1st month off pill after years so not sure what to expect. Although I'm pretty sure I OV around CD14 as had the pains that everybody talks about.

deb - I would be surprised if I was PG this month, we haven't BD much this month. DP on shifts at wrong time. But obviously if I am then that's great

ladylush - Not sure if it's like proper EWCM or just CM, I've only just started knicker watching so probably missed when I had the EWCM earlier in the cycle. I know that makes me sound a bit dim but I never paid that much attention when I went to the loo, now it's like another little task to add to the day

Hope you're all happy that it's Friday, I am

Meglet · 12/10/2007 10:17

LOL at bloods pretty baby dust! Very artistic.

I really need to get organised and start BD-ing, but have been way too busy lately. Must try harder!

Hello to everyone else. We must be due some BFPs soon!

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 12/10/2007 10:19

Oh.....forgot to make it clear for those who may not know, it's LOONEYTUNE here (just to save confusion)

MissusH · 12/10/2007 10:22

Hey Looney - long time no post

My first proper cycle post-mirena was 32 days, the 2nd was 30 days so this one - who knows?

I've been trying to be casual about the whole ttc thing too - not posted much lately and trying not to get too obsessive (yeah, right). Managing okay so far - had a few symptoms over the past week but have convinced myself that I am not pg so a bfp would be a bonus...

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 12/10/2007 10:26

Hi MissusH - Well, I'll keep popping on here to see how you're doing I think a lot of you know that I was told I probably won't conceive this year, prob more like Feb. So, I'm sticking with that in my head and just forgetting about it otherwise I think I'd loose the plot!!!

Sweetkitty - how are you?

ladylush · 12/10/2007 10:49

Shazza - sometimes semen can make your cm look like ewcm I'm not an expert either but it seems I sometimes get ewcm after ovulation.

Hi cycle buddy SK. Ds is knackering me out as he wakes during the night and starts crying, has to be put back etc - yet I still want another one. Insanity. How are you?

Har - I meant your sample would be ok for a few hours, but have been told you can keep it in the fridge (tripple bag wrapped obviously - gross)for at least a day. No point though as you are late, you prob don't need fmu. Enjoy your weekend away

spookykitty · 12/10/2007 10:54

oh you will never gues what I just did I went to the supermarket local yuck Asda one and did quite an expensive shop not groceries but toiletries (bought DP some multivits and zinc I've told him it's because he's running so much , some more Sanatogen Pronatal for me and loads of cold remedies (might as well make the most of being non pregnant you can take loads of drugs)) anyway I digress go to pay and have no bank card in my purse, don't have credit cards either I gave my credit card to DP so if I want to use it I have to wait until he comes in and ask him for it then we can discuss if I need it (this was my doing btw ebay is BAD) so I have to go all the way back home, dollowed all the way back by a police car and I make a wee driving mistake (SK not the worlds best driver) so thats been my morning, DD2 and I are having pancakes and tea now (shes having juice) and then it's back to pick DD1 up. Sorry I went into one there but having a bad morning and head feels awful.

Looneytune - good to hear from you I've missed you kept meaning to send you a email on FB.

Emmsy - I know what you mean about planning sex, I tell DP when we need to do it and he kind of accepts it I try and make sure we have some non ttc BDing as well.

Shazza - don't worry too much about not doing it enough, I have two little people that prove you only have to do it once in a month to get pregnant think about people who get pregnant from one unprotected encounter in years as well.

MissusH - hello

DG - I so know what you mean about not wanting to test that big NOT PREGNANT makes it so final doesn't it theres a part if you almost doesn't want to know. Fingers and everything crossed for you.

Oh and after my I am not using opks or getting obsessive this month I was on another thread and there was a link for opks and hpts and they were a bargain and really sensitive so you guessed it I bought them, I'm rubbish I really am.

spookykitty · 12/10/2007 10:57

ladylush - I have two and want another, the night before last they were up 3 times each, they are good at going back to sleep though but you still need to get up and settle them. Went into DD1 who was crying she wanted to watch Night Garden at 4am, DD2 then woke me shouting Mummy whats that?

I wish I could bypass pregnancy, birth, newborns, breastfeeding and get a 1yo, babies are nice but boring I love toddlers.

ladylush · 12/10/2007 10:59

Oh poor you SK. It's happened to me before too - about to pay for shopping then realise my purse is in a different bag Dh takes zinc and I take pronatal. I stopped taking the pronatal for a while as I thought the folic acid content was too low but now I realise I was reading the percentage rather than the micrograms

ladylush · 12/10/2007 11:00

Yes love the age my lo is at - he's nearly 3 and a half and so adorable

spookykitty · 12/10/2007 11:05

Yes it's a great age DD1 is 3.3yo and DD2 is 21 months, DD1 is hysterical.

I have heard that to prevent mc you should have 4 milligrams of folic acid, pronatal has 4 micrograms and that you need 12 regular tablets to get enough (if that makes sense??) I was going to take more but I think one pronatal will be enough. Some others on the mc thread have the 4 micrograms on precription.

I like to think that the mc was a one off never to be repeated thing and that if I have had 2 children I can have another one if thats makes sense too.

ladylush · 12/10/2007 11:07

I think pronatal has 700mcg. After my disastrous appt. yesterday I daren't go back to the same gp and ask for a 4mg px. Will wait til next week then book appt with different gp.

Shazza2002 · 12/10/2007 11:12

Spooky - What a bad morning, there is something about the police that make you drive worse, I think it's the pressure. Ebay is very bad, plus it's worse paying through paypal as by the time it goes out on bank statement I've always forgotten what I bought

Emmsy - At the moment DP is enjoying it, but I know as the months go on and I get stressed about TTC then that will ultimately affect him too. I have a friend aswell who's partner had problems under pressure so I think it's more common thank people think. Whilst I was on pill I very rarely wanted it, like once a month if that, so at the moment DP is happy to take it when he can. I suppose that's the downside to your partner knowing you well, know's exactly what you're up to

I have a friend who's lent me a CB fertility monitor but after reading some posts it's 50/50 as to whether these help or just make you more stressed. I just want it for peace of mind that I'm ovulating.

I also ordered some HPT from a site recommended on here. DP now thinks he's done the deed already so wishes his swimmers maybe weren't as atrong as he was looking forward to a month of being used and abused I told him I will need them eventually but don't think I will this month so the swimmers better get their trunks on ready for the next race

spookykitty · 12/10/2007 11:13

I did read about your appt GPs eh? Last year DD1 seemed to have a runny nose for about 8 months, I think it's nursery/toddler groups/other childre they just pass the bugs back and forth. It's horrible though to be constantly wiping their noses

ladylush · 12/10/2007 11:21

It was when she said it can last til they are 7 that I got really narked. Don't mind the runny nose, it's the choking on phlegm at night that I am bothered about. She said don't worry, he won't choke to death!

spookykitty · 12/10/2007 11:46

he won't choke on it at night but it will constantly wake him and you have you looked at anything alternative for him I don't know much about it but there must be other remedies out there that could at least lessen it a bit. It's horrible when your baby is suffering.

ladylush · 12/10/2007 11:50

she px something to thin the phelgm. Have to collect it from chemist today as not in stock yesterday. Dr wasn't hopeful though.

Excitable · 12/10/2007 12:28

Spooky have you tried rubbing Vicks Vaporub on his chest before he goes to bed? Can you use that on littlies?

spookykitty · 12/10/2007 12:38

excitable - it's ladylush's DS that has a phlegm problem not my DDs they just have snotty noses today it's not stopping them from fighting over toys though!

Excitable · 12/10/2007 12:54

That sounds fairly healthy - sorry both - brain like jelly since I stopped taking the pill!

Shazza2002 · 12/10/2007 13:37

Excitable - Sorry, can I ask you when you stopped the pill?

It's just I stopped mine last month and whilst I understand everybody is different just wondered how your first month was?

kirstygem · 12/10/2007 14:38

Shazza I just came off pill last month too. Had cycle of 32 days and then AF of 5 days so am in that boring first week of cycle where cant quite be bothered to BD yet

Shazza2002 · 12/10/2007 14:49

kirstygem - Thanks for that. I know realistically I shouldn't expect AF until next week but I want it to hurry up. I know I'm not PG this month so the sooner it comes and goes the sooner I can get on with some BDing .

As for not bothering with the BDing at the moment, I think I'm a bit weird as in the more I have it the more I want it. Where as DP is the opposite, he's more a quality than quantity type if you know what I mean so have to meet somewhere in the middle I suppose

TheMuppetMuggle · 12/10/2007 16:45

Phils got Man Flu so will not be bding this weekend - so no baby this mnth
