Ladies the thread got too big so I have started a new one hope you don't mind, I will cart the list and the tonnes of baby dust over in a minute.......................

OP posts:
TheMuppetMuggle · 09/10/2007 18:06

FS Things are not good at Fairy Towers at all I think all you can do is give her support when she needs it.

Excitable · 09/10/2007 18:14

Oh Fairy what a week! You poor thing! And your poor friend. She won't be thinking about what you called her now, she's got her own problems - and if you think about it, you know that she knows you well and knows you didn't mean it. If your friend isn't the huggy type, just tell her you want to hug her instead and that you've been thinking about her. If it helps, tell her you've been feeling bad.

I hope that's your last piece of sad news this week, you really don't need any more, do you?

Would you like to join me in feeling sorry for ourselves? I have no good reasons like you, but I AM feeling sorry for myself. I left work today with a feeling of inability to cope and have got the duvet from the boxroom and now DH is just about to find me...

GardenAngel4 · 09/10/2007 18:57

fairy do feel for you with your crummy week. I agree, a hug can say masses. Just being there will help, because she'll know that you know what it means. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ positive vibes

josey · 09/10/2007 19:20

just popping in to say hello and see lots of faces so want to send you all some big {{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}

look forward to the morning hopfully have a few more BFPs to add to the list.

Good Luck girls

spookykitty · 09/10/2007 19:36

evening all

Fairy - what sad news but your friend knew you didn't mean it and it will be the last thing she is thinking of I'm sure of that, just be a good friend give her some space but still let her know you are thinking of her and are there if she needs you. Some people want to talk about it some dont't.

Excitable - you sound very stressed out honey, have a relaxing evening and try (BIG TRY) not to think about tomorrow morning.

Muppet - I'm a bit better today thanks bummer about the fertility monitor but agree keep the BDing up, I wish my AF would leave so I could start again.

One of my BFs spoke to me today and you've guessed it she is pregnant with her first, genuinely very happy for her, she never told me straight away because of my mc which I feel quite sad about, she's a very squeamish type of girl hates the sight of blood etc and she says she wants a quick pain free birth have told her there is no such thing but it will be worth it, bless her.

Have a good evening all SK x

07mumstheword · 09/10/2007 21:11

Sorry to hear you've had more bad news fairy Hope your friend gets through this as well as possible.

muppet Bloomin postal strike! Hope you get your monitor soon. We are cycle buddies Can I ask you a personal question? When do you start actively bd'ing. I always thought about day 10 for a wk? I haven't been particularly bd'ing and DH has come home with a stinking cold tonight. I think I can give him a day or two's grace? I just hope I don't catch the cold.

sk I've got so many friends getting PG and having babies at the mo. One was born 6 wks ago others due Nov, Dec, Mar and Jun. If my last two positive's had stuck I'd have been due Mar & Jun. I'm genuinely happy for them but does make me feel a little why can't it be me? It will be our turn soon. We will make it to the graduate list soon! All of us!

ladylush · 09/10/2007 21:36

Evening all, quick touch in to base. Excitable and shazza, thanks for advice. Have decided though that we can't afford to lose that amount of money should we need to cancel. It would be about £2000. So, planning to make a decision late November.

SK - sorry you are down. Me too atm. Still feckin got my period too. So much for the average being between 3-5 days. Why can't I just be bloody average for a change Hope you get pg soon so that you and your bf can spend maternity leave together. My cousin is 3 months pregnant - unplanned but they are happy about it. Hope I get pg soon too so that the babes can play together (though she lives in Ireland).

Fairy - so sad to hear about your friend's m/c. Don't feel guilty - she will know you didn't wish this on her. Tell her to come on mumsnet and chat to women who've been through the same thing.

spookykitty · 09/10/2007 22:16

ladylush - I know since DD2 my periods have gone from about 4 days to 6. I remember my pill periods being 2 days! BF lives too far away for our DCs to grow up together I've moved about a fair bit and got friends all over.

07MTW - your right it WILL be us soon, we've done it before and we will do it again.

fairysnuff · 09/10/2007 22:50

Thank you everyone for your support.
I knew you would help

I think I will just tell her that I want to hug her, you're right excitable, it will have the same effect.

I would tell her to come onto MN, ladylush but I know she looks at me as if I am a loon everytime I mention it (I get that look a lot, for a lot of different reasons!!) so I doubt she will come on herself. Shame because I am sure it would help her. Then again, her sister has been through it twice and they are quite close so she has on hand help too.

On a lighter note, I am getting an urge to pee on something!! You guys are all talking about it, but I haven't tested anything in ages!!
Think I am too late for opk's (anyway they are too disappointing, I always fail them) but I am waaay too early for a hpt.
Have half convinced myself that if I ov'd at CD8, then maybe I might get a positive hpt now.....
haha, it's a bugger, this waiting lark!!

fairysnuff · 09/10/2007 22:53

ooh, forgot to say, I am soo excited for you excitable (is it contagious?) hope you get a BFP in the morn. I will look forward to turning in my computer!

But I will miss you too, if you get to graduate.

debinaustria · 10/10/2007 06:23

Well? Exciteable?

Deb

Excitable · 10/10/2007 07:34

BFN

Excitable · 10/10/2007 07:46

Had to just post that when I saw your post Deb. The pause was while I read all your other posts. DH is being very sympathetic in an I-told-you-so kind of way, but I am not in a very generous mood and he is actually saying all the right things and being very careful around me. He loves me and that's what counts. (Rolls eyes... I suppose)

Anyway, early days, early days. And I get to spend some more time with you lovely ladies. And there's loads of us here who aren't pg yet ("yet" being the key word ). And I get to have my soft cheese and wine when AF comes. And I think I'll be able to concentrate at work a bit better now having done a test because it's always better to know than not to know.

And, whisper it so DH can't hear... it's not over until the fat red old bitch sings! Tee hee hee hee (Muttley laugh - difficult to type!)

Bucky2007 · 10/10/2007 08:08

Aw excitable.. and you were so excited too. Your right, make the most of it, you will have nine months where there will be no wine and cheese soon, so live it up while you can.

Har · 10/10/2007 08:41

Excitable, really sorry about your BFN but as you say while there's no AF there's hope! I'm on CD35 (usual cycle length is 29), probably just a late, messed up period (tested on Sunday - 2 days late - and BFN) but hey, still wondering! Will test again tomorrow if still no AF. Or cart myself to gynae to ask what's wrong with me (no smiley faces on OPK, no EWCM, no AF, lots of BFNs )

SK - are you feeling happier today? Hope so

digitalgirl · 10/10/2007 08:59

sorry for the BFN excitable but it ain't over yet...

If AF doesn't turn up for both of us, will you test this weekend with me?

fairysnuff · 10/10/2007 09:11

oh No
excitable, I am gutted for you.
But maybe no AF still leaves you with hope?
How long is your cycle normally?

aww excitable so sorry about BFN

Har - hello former cycle buddy, whats going on with you? Strange this ttc business, it fair messes with your head. Would be a lot easier if we all had 28 day cycles ovulating on day 14 wouldn't it?

CD7 for me already AF has gone (good riddance you unwelcome old witch) so just gearing up for BD-fest.

spookykitty · 10/10/2007 09:22

thanks fairysnuff was just going to do it xxx

Excitable · 10/10/2007 10:15

Cheers everyone - YEAH DG I'll deffo test with you at the weekend. It'll have to be Sunday though as I have to have a flu jab on Saturday and then go straight to my parent's house and I might be staying over.

I'll have to test on Sunday morning if AF isn't here though - I'll just explode otherwise! Not looking forward to doing it at my parents, but I guess that's not so bad as DOING IT at my parents - can't remember who said that, but I can't do that either. Can't stop thinking about how much it would upset my Dad - that has to be the world's biggest turnoff!!

Shazza2002 · 10/10/2007 10:47

Excitable Sorry about your BFN , there's still hope though.

DOING IT at parents house is difficult, although I find telling people you're PG quite embaressing too. When I was PG with DD1 so many times rather than saying to people "I'm PG", I nearly said "We've had sx". Weird I know but that's all I could think of, and when I told my parents, it was like they're gonna know I've had sx , even though they obviously did already.

Sorry about rambling, v bored at work.

07mumstheword · 10/10/2007 10:49

Oh no exitable AF still to show yet so still hope. In a selfish way glad you'll be sticking around.

Talking of Flu jabs, I'm due mine on Friday and as this will be around my ovulating time does anyone know if I should go for it or cancel and perhaps make an apointment for when AF due and I know I'm def not PG?

Excitable · 10/10/2007 10:49

Oh-oh.

Oh how bad can today get. BFN. Line Manager announces she's pg at team meeting. Then AF!!

She is an evil hateful spiteful old witch and I hate her.

Sorry DG no mutual testing for me.
