Hi guys....
Thought I'd set up this new thread for us.
Tag anyone else from the group I've not got.

@AnxiousAnnie86
@Spinksy9 (thought I'd tag for you to check in with us after your BFP 😆)

@Trying4one do you have regular cycles? ("Regular" is defined as between 21-35 days and varying by no more than 7 days). If you get a period "regularly" then you're ovulating.
Most women, about 8/9 in 10, do not have any issues whatsoever.
Don't fret - this thread has probably scared you a bit because quite a few of us are having a bit of a battle here, but if you're new to TTC chances are you'll be expecting within 12 months (roughly 80% of couples), probably even within 6 (roughly 65% of couples). Try to keep calm and go with the flow.
For what it's worth, those OPKs look about as normal as it comes to me, and you're even pretty close to cd14, so hopefully that reassures you a bit. 😊

Trying4one · 26/09/2020 16:50

@TheOrangeMonster thank you that helps a lot. My cycle were 30 days but was 28 last month. I think my worries stem from the fact I had a tumour on my pituitary gland (which is controlled by medication and therefore doesn't exist at the moment) and due to being on the pill for such a long time. There was just a part of me that worried about my hormone levels 🙈 even though my consultant said I should be fine

TheOrangeMonster · 26/09/2020 17:05

@Trying4one ahhh I see! Trust your consultant though, they do usually know what they're talking about! 28-30 days is super, I wish mine was like that!! 😂

AnxiousAnnie86 · 27/09/2020 08:29

Hey all! Just catching up! Seem to be really busy these days! Not much to report here! Cd16 still getting flashing! So hopes of an earlier OV are dwindling!!! 17 would of been normal for what my cycles were pre miscarriage at 32 days....

How's everyone doing?! Xxxx

AnxiousAnnie86 · 27/09/2020 08:46

Honestly spoke to soon again!!! Just got a static! 😂 x

Blossom428 · 27/09/2020 09:45

Yesssss @AnxiousAnnie86 on the static!! V good news. Get bonkingggg haha.
I'm going to start testing from tomorrow I think. Cd7 for me

AnxiousAnnie86 · 27/09/2020 09:53

@Blossom428 I'm annoyed as we've been DTD the last two days but husband hasn't been able to "finish" for some reason 🙈🙈 never happened before! I hope if we do it tonight and tomorrow that'll be enough x

Blossom428 · 27/09/2020 11:53

Ohh no... do you tell him when FW is? Is he feeling under pressure? @AnxiousAnnie86
Just keep going I'm sure he will be fine the next couple of times!

OP posts:
AnxiousAnnie86 · 27/09/2020 12:29

@Blossom428 no cos I've ovulated earlier then normal, anyway. Can't do anything about it now, I hope today wasn't a false peak like I had the other month!!

TheOrangeMonster · 27/09/2020 13:41

@AnxiousAnnie86 yay for early ovulation!
Fake an orgasm? 😉 might set him off.

I'm now 6dpo (miscalculated before), blood test in 4 days. Standard sore left boob, no other symptoms.

Gemster19 · 27/09/2020 17:45

Hey ladies,

I've been MIA as decided to give myself a break from obsessing this cycle and I'm delighted to tell you...that it doesn't make a blind bit of difference and we're back to CD1 over here 😩🤣. So next time someone tells you to 'just relax and it'll happen', tell them to p*ss off!

We started our referral process with the GP this week and I'm really toying with the idea of just 'giving up' until we get our appt with the specialist. Obviously secretly hoping to be that couple that falls in the v last cycle before they start treatment...but even if not, I think the break might do wonders for my stress levels as I just felt so much calmer this 2WW. I'm really anxious about not having the most recent data for the specialist if I don't do my OPKs/temp and worrying how I'll cope not knowing if we missed the window etc though 😬.

Are you going to do anything differently whilst you're waiting @TheOrangeMonster ?

Gemster19 · 27/09/2020 17:46

Sorry I don't know what's happened with the bold 🙄😂

TheOrangeMonster · 27/09/2020 18:46

Hello @Gemster19! I took a break back from here at the start of this month too and we had a weeks' "holiday" (lol).
We've been so lazy this cycle. I think we had sex a grand total of 4 times in 21 days and then I ovulated really early, which surprised us, and since then we haven't had sex at all. It's been good, actually - sex was getting a bit repetitive, no matter how hard we tried to get creative!
My blood test is in 4 days (on Thursday) and husband will arrange his analysis this week, in the meantime we don't need to get back to it with any regularity for about 3-4 weeks again, so we're feeling pretty relaxed about it.

I know what you mean - I'm also secretly hoping that they'll do my blood test on Thursday and be like "oh by the way, did you know you're pregnant anyway" 😂 but that ain't gonna happen, so....
Actually I've recently read some really inspiring stories about people getting pregnant after years of trying and it makes me believe it will happen for us, so the sooner they get investigating the better. Only sad thing is it sounds like my investigation from last October was "left incomplete" - someone never phoned me back to get me in - which pisses me off - could have done all this a year ago and I just thought I had to go away and keep going without any help!!! 😡

WaitingForEgg · 27/09/2020 23:50

I also took a break. I pop on every now and then to see how everyone is, but the obsessing has been driving me crazy. I finally got my period at cd42 last month. It’s never happened to me before to be so late. I have no idea if it’s stress related (I’m a doctor working a lot and covid has been tough), covid stress, weight (I’ve gained maybe a stone since I conceived my daughter) or the obsessing, but my periods are all over the place. Trying to focus on exercising and keeping my mind occupied with other things, but it’s very very hard as you all know

AnxiousAnnie86 · 28/09/2020 07:09

@TheOrangeMonster @Gemster19 I hope you guys are both well, I often tell myself I really really need to take a break from it all.... are you going to do anything diff this month? Or just not try as such? I stopped my prenatal this months and just switched to folic as I think it was delaying my ovulation, I find myself obsessing over it way way way too much! Mainly about ovulation tbh if it was blooming regular I don't think I'd be so bad!!!

I think I I ovulated through the night day before yest, I didn't get another peak yest and it's a blank circle this morn, we didn't DTD From 12 right through to last night at 16 and I think I must of ovulated sometime through the night 15/16 how typical :( x temps been up higher last two days!

This is what always stresses me out with ovulation!! I just never seem to know!!!! We haven't got a chance of catching it this month if I already ovulated :(

AnxiousAnnie86 · 28/09/2020 07:37

@WaitingForEgg sorry it was you I meant to tag.....

I'm glad Af finally came for you.... my cycle was 41 days last month too! What cycle day are you now? I'm working so hard on keeping fit this month hoping it will help... x

TheOrangeMonster · 28/09/2020 11:39

@WaitingForEgg @AnxiousAnnie86
I'm truly starting to believe that it's just not worth it, obsessing over it. It always seems to be the people who aren't that bothered who conceive easily, and the more wound up one gets, the more of an issue it seems to become.
From now on my take on it is just to calm down. It's not worth creating extra stress in an already very stressful world, and it's not going to help us get pregnant any quicker, because that'll just happen when it happens.
I've managed to find a positive about the long cycles too: at least I don't have to put up with this super sore boob/nipple situation every other fortnight, that would be such a pain!

Blossom428 · 28/09/2020 22:25

Yeahh... @TheOrangeMonster I feel I was very obsessive the first few months of trying and the only person it was stressing out was me and blaming myself or OH.
This month I do feel a lot more relaxed, although I know when ovulation is coming up around this weekend I hope I can stay the same mentality!! Like you say, I sick of feeling down about It. But it's so hard when you want it so badly!

One day will all be our day and it will be sooo worth it!!
Glad to hear you are doing well though @Gemster19 and at Least you have started the processes... fingers crossed it happens for you just before though 🤞🏽🤞🏽

Try not to be too down beat about it @AnxiousAnnie86 ... have your temps gone up to indicate ovulation?

OP posts:
AnxiousAnnie86 · 29/09/2020 06:51

@Blossom428 yeah they've started to go up, pre mom says my ovulation happened Cd15 - which it it did we are totally out but Ava just altered my fertile window to start today, saying I will ovulate Sunday when I'm away from Friday! Honestly maybe not meant to be this month!

How you getting on? Are you starting to test today? X

TheOrangeMonster · 29/09/2020 09:24

@AnxiousAnnie86 I think on this occasion Ava might be wrong. Have you got your chart? Temps going up are the most reliable indicator of O other than ultrasound or hormone blood test. If it's any comfort I had the whole not knowing where I was thing last month, I understand how frustrating it is.

I'm 8dpo today with quite an excessive but not never-before-seen amount of creamy CM (thrush has gone now, it's not that). Both nipples super sore, 2 days until blood test.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 29/09/2020 09:52

@TheOrangeMonster
Yeah this is my chart, I'm still getting ewcm though! It is the not knowing isn't it that makes it worse!!!! How's your temps?

TTC - Thread 2- a lucky one!
Blossom428 · 29/09/2020 11:06

Very difficult to know isn't it! @AnxiousAnnie86 I guess try not to obsess over it (easier said that done) and just get a couple of sexy times in this week and before the weekend.

I've had used clear blue yest day- blank, but today I got my first flashing smiley. Which matches up to what Ovia predicted. So will see how it goes and how many I get this month.

@TheOrangeMonster oooh you are coming up to implantation time now! Fingers crossed for you!!

OP posts:
TheOrangeMonster · 29/09/2020 11:55

@AnxiousAnnie86 I agree, I see those temperatures coming up but I've never seen skin temperature used before - what does it normally look like after ovulation?
I don't bother to temp after OvuSense confirms ovulation - either I'll be pregnant or I won't and I figure my LP temps don't offer any additional clarity. The last one I took which was 4dpo was the highest it's ever recorded post O for me, 36.56.
@Blossom428 yes I think so - between today and Thursday I think would be the most likely time.

I really am getting a ton of CM today - maybe something to do with the earlier than usual O. I would love it if I'd conceived the week I had my GP appointment 😂 but not getting my hopes up. We shall see....

AnxiousAnnie86 · 29/09/2020 13:03

@Blossom428 that's good news then!! How many do you normally get! I like to see that flashing smiley! There's just something awful about the blank circle isn't there!!

@TheOrangeMonster fingers crossed for you then! How exciting it could be happening any day now! Get ready for symptom spotting!!!!! X

Blossom428 · 29/09/2020 14:35

Well last time it went straight from blank to static, and time before I got 5 flashing! So hopefully not that many. @AnxiousAnnie86
But I hope my peak is the weekend as my Oh is busy with work again!
Going to try and do it every other day though now.
