5 failed rounds of IVF and I'm bloody preggers!!!!

Oh my god. I just have to tell SOMEONE.

We have had 5 failed rounds of IVF, the last one failed last year. Spent tens of thousands of pounds to no avail.

My period was late (which is standard really, it's all over the place at the moment) and I thought I'd just do a test so I could put the thought of being pregnant out of my mind and carry on waiting for AF to turn up.

And fuck me it was positive (excuse the language!!). I'm literally beside myself!! I have never had a BFP and was told to stop IVF, there was nothing more they could do.

It's very early, so praying all goes ok, but this is more than I've ever had before.

Thanks all! I did wonder about posting as don't want to rub in people's faces but on the other hand seeing posts like this has made me feel better in the past. Plus I COULDN'T NOT!

I told DH by phoning him and saying "It's fucking positive!" 🤣 I was so in shock. Then I walked out of work and came home and we both had a little cry.

He is being very cautious and trying to reign me in but the way I look at it is this is further than we've ever got before and if I lose it I'll be devastated anyway so may as well enjoy this!

I went to boots on the way home and panic bought a load of tests so think I'll do the digital in the morning. But I think I'm probably 4-5 weeks, I'm about a week late on my period.

Yayyyyy. Congratulations (from someone who spent 12 years and 4 IUIs and 7IVFs without success then gave up and..... surprise... got pregnant with DS).

Maybe it is to do with stress, but I don't think so tbh. I've been pretty stressed / emotional since stopping the IVF and was about to start counselling to come to terms to being childless.

The digital will probably say 2-3 weeks then , as they date from ovulation not you last period.
