Hey girls as we are about to get thrown out of our thread I have started a new one so we can continue manically looking for EWCM, sore (.)(.)s and orange feet whilst chanting 'in with love, out with BFNs'.

Come on over/in

Good Morning Ladies!

Welcome starshaker fingers crossed for you, keep us informed about any possible symptoms you have

DG PMSL laughing as well at the "don't come a knockin' if the toadstool's a rockin'" So so true hehehe. Well I succesfully jumped DP last night I got myself looking nice and it worked. I tried again this morning but I got the I'm not in the mood from him. So lets hope I can get him again tonight or hope that last night alone did the trick.

Bucky I'm not sure I am worthy. I'm a little confused to be honest have had no EWCM yesterday or today and I haven't had any OV pains either. Also I feel like I have a cold comming on so OV may be delayed. Hows the doggie?

I've only had a quick scam over the post just wanted to say good morning.

madoldbird · 29/10/2007 12:07

Good morning everyone!

Although there appear to have been rumours that i was around on here over the weekend - we were away, so i have just been catching up with everything that has been going on in the 2ww world.

Welcome to Finn!!! he sounds gorgeous and i'm sure he will soon settle. I think he should be the thread mascot, and he will no doubt bring lots of luck to us all!!

DG bad news about AF, but as others have said, at least she is here, instead of leaving you waiting. Roll on the next (hopefully shorter) cycle. 07MTW bad news also, sorry to hear she's with you as well.

And GG you definitely need some grovelling from DH, IMO it should involve jewellery of some sort, preferably diamonds!!!

Hello to everyone else, including the new people who have joined us over the weekend.

I am CD16 now, and on Friday afternoon, on the way to our hotel for the weekend, i had loads of EWCM at Watford Gap!! So we thought that the time was right, even though i hadn't had a smiley face. Did another test sat morning, which was faulty, so just forgot about tests and got on with it. BDing on Sat morning (3am!) and sun morning. We came back feeling we had done all we could. However i had a quick check of my cervix this morning, and it was higher and soft, so i have just done another OPT and guess what - smiley face! I have just texted DH to ask if he is up for any more!! However, i was wondering, oh wise ones, if you think that sunday morning would be too soon to count if i got the smiley face today??

Well, i'm going now, after boring you all with the intimate aspects of my life!

GryffinGhoul · 29/10/2007 12:19

MOB - from what I've read, sperm continues to wriggle their tales and be viable for up to three days post BD-ing when you have EWCM (I once read a thread when someone claimed to have conceived based on BD-ing FIVE days before OV), so I am sure that the swimmers from Sunday morning BD-ing will count, but no harm in dragging your DH home from work tonight just to make sure

spookykitty · 29/10/2007 13:28

MOB - think Sunday would definately count, I read somewhere that it's better to have the sperm up there and waiting for the egg, would definitely get some more up there tonight (just read that back sorry gross

MLE - I have only had one experience with ebay cheapies as follows, tested day AF due BFN, tested day after AF due BFN (I'm never late), tested 3 days after AF due BFN, thought sod this I know I'm pregnant bought a CBD and got a BFP. Doesn't stop me buying them though, this was erm over 2 years ago and from a different company as the ones I have now. Was hoping the ebay cheapies gave me a faint line so I know that splashing out on a CBD would be worth it although I could just wait until AF is late but wheres the fun in that

07mumstheword · 29/10/2007 15:13

Funnily enough madoldbird I was reading only yesterday that you should have sex up to 5 days before ovulation so the little swimmers are there ready for the egg as sperm can survive for a maximum of up to 5 days. If you've got a smiley face today I'd definately have another shot at it tonight (so to speak ) and you really will have done all you can for this month!

Bucky2007 · 29/10/2007 16:28

Pmsl at MOB with her EWCM at the Watford Gap At first I thought you meant Gap in Watford and thought I would look out for some next time I was there LOL.

Finn has more or less stopped whining. He is a good boy, crap on the lead, but still a good boy. I fed him cream cheese, the stupid dog toy said to, you apparently fill it with cream cheese or dog paste and it takes hours for him to get at it all so he is entertained. Yeah right now he has the runs. You try picking up the runs in a stupid poo bag . Poor Finn, he is snoozing in his bed, probably exhausted and dehydrated. Bet he's glad he moved in here! On the plus side he has had loads of walks today and has molested at least 3 other puppies which he seemed to quite enjoy.

I have to pay attention to my CDs. I am getting very distracted by life and DP and I are not BDing. Note to self: Must get BDing programme back on track in time for the egg.

Thanks for all the info - i had a text back from DH who was pleased to hear about the smiley face - and wants to make the most of it. ( i was a bit worried about putting him under too much pressure to "perform") So, we shall do our best, and i will, of course, report back in the morning . Have a lovely evening everyone.

hedgepig · 29/10/2007 20:33

Hello can I come in?
I am feeling rather dim I have looked at the title of this tread loads of times and been mystified what it was about. I couldn't understand why we were discussing world war 2 (2ww) in conception!

anyway I'm really spotty and I'm not normally could this be a sign??

digitalgirl · 29/10/2007 20:44

PMSL at bucky already getting her runny-poo practice in

woohoo MOB and her gleaming eyes!

I'm of those having sexy-time fun mid-cycle. God knows when it's gonna happen for me this time.

hedgepig unusual spots are absolutely a symptom! welcome to the thread, now you're here, be prepared to get really obsessive!

Was really busy at work today, so didn't have anytime to look into consultants etc. but DH made lots of phonecalls for me. Apparantly there's a fertility clinic at my local hospital, I just need a referral from my doc. Will call the surgery tomorrow and see if she'll write one out for me without me needing to book an appointment. That's if I can get past the receptionist. Anyone else think all doctor's receptionists are dragons??

hedgepig · 29/10/2007 20:59

Thanks Digitalgirl I am all excited now (been trying since Jan).

Drs receptionist can be a challenge If it was our surgery I would say it was probably easier to make an appointment than try and get past then, Good luck

mylittleeloise · 29/10/2007 21:58

is sitting crying for no apparent reason a symptom? ive been sat here for past hour tears rolling down my face, with no reason for it, just want to cry all the time it started when i got mad with the ironing board coz it kept falling down

mylittleeloise · 29/10/2007 22:00

DG you definatley right all drs receptionists are dragons especially ours, its my mil

spookykitty · 29/10/2007 22:21

mylittleeloise - I feel the same today am going from being angry and irritable to weepy in a heartbeat, deffo AF signs I think

I have been having funny aches in my plvic region all day but think it's nothing, will pee on my ebay cheapie tomorrow, hold it up to the light then natural light, squint at it 100 different ways, think nah it's a dud, pee on another, bad bloody batch, think well AF isn't here so there's still a chance, AF will turn up and will be down down down but immediately start working out fertile days/potential baby due date/next AF day, ho hum I'm officially TTC mad!

mylittleeloise · 29/10/2007 22:41

sk hope you get a bfp fingers crossed for you

well my eyes have stopped leaking now just been to loo and am sure someone has turned a tap on cm everywhere sorry tmi.
wish dh would hurry back from the pub not much chance of that happening tho, im sure he forgets where he lives and now the bloody dog has decided that he will lie with his bum in close proximity and blow smelly farts at me, charming! life just couldnt get better

madoldbird · 30/10/2007 08:19

Hi shrekmissus don't apologise - i was just excited at the thought of being one of those people who allege(sp?) to be able to be in 2 places at the same time! (there's a posh word for it which escapes me at the moment)

Well, the deed was done !! madoldbloke went off to work exhausted but smiling. At least we have done all we can this month. Now officially on the 2ww, although in the boring bit, at least for the next few days. Come on, there must be some of you out there further along in the 2ww who can entertain the rest of us, and give us interesting symptoms to mull over.

DG go for it with the receptionist. You WILL be strong and get past her!

Good morning to everyone else.

penguinmum · 30/10/2007 08:51

morning everybody!

i have been staying away cos was becoming scarily obsessed with imaginary symptoms and cervical pursuits!

am now cd31, been feeling queasy for about a week and have very sore (.)(.). did a cheap tesco test on sunday, bfn, but am convinced i am pregnant. dh is making me wait till saturday to test again, but not sure i can hold out that long!

07mumstheword · 30/10/2007 08:57

I can't say all Doctors receptionists are bad as my Mum is a retired one so I've heard the other side of the story and they can get quite a bit of abuse. Having said that at my last surgery they were all evil witches and made you feel even worse for daring to want to see a doctor, there was one in particular that scared the life out of me!
I find doctors receptionsts a challenge but they are quite friendly here, I can never get past them but at least they are friendly!

DG Nice of your DH to do research, if anyone can get past receptionists you can. They normally take a msg and the doctor will phone us back here, quite good like that. Hope you don't get given the run around.

Bucky pmsl at runny dog poo in bag as I was gagging at the thought!

DH started doing some research last night and all excited got me to the computer to put in my cycle details into website calendar thingy. He said have you ever seen one of these before. lol. Have I ever? Once I got to "usual cycle length" and I told him anything between 27-32 days he finally realised why I don't know exactly when I ovulate. I think he thought it was a precise science with no room for change. Bless him! Got my CB OPK yesterday so this month I will definately use them.

Sorry rambled on again. Hope everyone is doing well.

07mumstheword · 30/10/2007 09:01

Penguinmum That's a long time to wait. If you really feel you could be PG could you treat yourself to a CBD? choccie on the waiting room thread was told by her DH to wait until the weekend but he went out last night and she tested and she had a BFP! Go girl I say. Am I supposed to be discouraging you? If there is such a word? I'm too impatient and know I would have to test. Good luck.

Quidproquo · 30/10/2007 09:37

morning !
It is me again back with a very tentative and ridiculously faint positive! I am of course delighted but nervous as its so early - according to opk ( whicj showed positive on saturday and said 8-36 hrs after ov would occur) I think am on about day 9/10 dpo
lots of people will tell me off and i am over 40 and should know better but!! the tests call me! they were cheapy internet ones and a first response one...- you have to stare to see it but for now it is there!

Quidproquo · 30/10/2007 09:38

am a regular btw but name change!

digitalgirl · 30/10/2007 09:54

OMG QPQ you got a BFP already??!!! Wow! Must be a good'un if it's come up so soon. Huge congrats and best of luck!

digitalgirl · 30/10/2007 09:59

SK have got my fingers tightly crossed on your 'faint' line! Hope you get a big fat one tomorrow! Can't believe how many BFPs are flying around at the moment

well, dr's receptionist told me to call back at 12:30 to speak to the doctor. hopefully, she won't want me to come back in and can just fire off a referral letter.

have the morning off, so going for a long overdue run!

Quidproquo · 30/10/2007 10:02

I cannot remember how early I have had them before digital girl...its bloody faint but it is there! Dare not hope
Good luck to everyone thinking of you

GryffinGirl · 30/10/2007 10:33

good morning ladies!

I have skimmed the thread because I can't remember, but is lots of CM a PG sign? I saw that mylittleeloise had it and (sorry if TMI ) I do too. More than usual anyway. CD20 today, so a week until I can test. No sore (.)(.) or anything else. Never thought I'd wish for weight gain, "windy nips" and spots

Bucky - has Finn recovered from the cream cheese rear end explosion ?
