Hey girls as we are about to get thrown out of our thread I have started a new one so we can continue manically looking for EWCM, sore (.)(.)s and orange feet whilst chanting 'in with love, out with BFNs'.

Come on over/in

DG sorry TEW got you. At least you know yourself when you are ovulating.. and a LP of 15 days is pretty good. Really glad your going to an accupunturist (I cannot spell). If it makes you feel better get your GP to reffer you at least then you know your getting more informed answers. I'm sending you a hot water bottle and lots of ibuprofen.

I'm CD19 now have not had a + OPK yet DP is home today so am going to jump him tonight. Last cycle I got my +OPK on CD21 but I don't think that means anything because none of my cycles have been the same since I came off the pill.

Bucky2007 · 28/10/2007 12:01

Morning. Hope you are feeling a bit better dg.

Everything is still smelling of wet dog here, but all is well. Turns out he's housetrained phew.

CD8 so will be thinking of cracking open the OPKs soon, probably about CD13 after last month. Am a bit rationed now as I used two last month even though I got the smiley on the first day . Wanted to check if the smiley had gone on the second day!

( in D-Day but with Eggs)

Afternoon Ladies! I'm officially on the 2WW now - on CD18 with at least 10 days to go before there is even a chance of a test result. At least in the first two weeks of a cycle you can have the odd glass of wine without worrying. 2WW is so boring. Not even a symptom to spot yet, although I know I am really getting my hopes up this month. More than any other so far, I am feeling really positive this month, but also worried that if it is a BFN, then it will hit me much harder. Also two friends announced babies this week and got that feeling in my stomach of panic that its not me . No, must stop there or you'll pack me off to the Hut Of Doom!!!

Oh and my other massive disappointment is that I am not off on holiday to the sunshine afterall because DH has to work , so not even that to distract me. I am utterly miserable at the thought of going into the office tomorrow, just like every other day, instead of heading to Heathrow for a plane to the sun. DH's off to Sweden to visit a sawmill in a fjord (yes, really) and I'm stuck in London instead of Las Vegas . DH promised he'll make it up to me, so I am now plotting how he can redeem himself . Any ideas gratefully received. Sooooo, without a holiday to go on, I am back to obsessing about symptoms .

Bucky - how is your new dog settling in? I absolutely love the name ! Finn McCoull was the Irish giant who battled with the Scottish giant, Cucullin in the legends and built the Giant's Causeway, I think. We used to read the fairytales at school. Is Finn putting muddy paws all over the carpet? AND I agree with DG, what have we got you addicted to now on MN?! We're your "pushers". It's the "Relationship" threads I can't stay away from. They are sooo addicitive to read.

DG - I am so sorry that TEW arrived Good luck at the acupuncturist. let us know what it is like. I tried reflexology, but weirdly, I didn't like it at all. I thought I would as I force my poor DH to rub my feet for me. Maybe it was the therapist woman? Does anyone know a good reflexology person in London?

hello to pixie and the others!

Shreksmissus - I know what you mean about diviluging things here that you wouldn't say in RL. I have some very close friends, but I've never compared EWCM with them!

Welcome back abbeymeg!!! Welcome to Spink.

07mumstheword · 28/10/2007 14:09

DG Don't know whether to be or for you?

TEW got me too. She waited until after I used one of my precious tests this morning! Funnily enough it was BFN! Can I still hang around here or should I wait til next TWW?

Can I ask another personal question to anyone willing to answer it? Do your periods normally start with brown blood then build up to red or just start red? I seem to get a day or so of brown first so do I class that as CD 1 or wait til the red stuff starts?

GG Sorry you are not going to get away how disappointing. You'll have to think of a corker of a making up from DH

Hello to everyone else.

pixie04 · 28/10/2007 17:30

07MTW SOrry to hear about AF arriving. Damn that evil witch! I think you should stay on here though I don't go away when I'm not on the 2ww (I have no where else to go)

Well..... I got a + OPK this evening! CD19 now, no EWCM though I got that a couple of days ago. Cervix has been high soft and open for the last four days. Will have to wait and see if I get any OV pains or sore nips within the next couple of days to confirm ovulation. DP is home this evening so will get on with some BDing. Hopefully being able to time it better, I might be in for that BFP.

starshaker · 28/10/2007 19:12

hi pixie thanx for the invite. i got a +opk yesterday and partook in plenty bding so fingers crossed.

Bucky2007 · 28/10/2007 19:16

Gryffin . I can't believe you don't get to go on holiday. How can a sawmill be more important? . You are a better woman than me, I would have freaked out big time. I really hate how (and I mean this in general not in relation to your DH specifically) how work just dominates life. Why does everything cost so much so we have to work so much grr. I am making a rod for my own back adding more and more expense to my life (i.e. dog, car etc etc) that means I have to work more to afford it . What am I going to do if I do get a BFP . I will be destitute. Oh well at least I will have nothing for people to steal .

Pixie Somebody knows their cycle , your dedication and hard work is much deserving of a BFP.

I have just watched 'the dog whisperer' and got mad a DP for not paying attention after he complained today about the dog taking him for a walk and Ceasar the dog whisperer was showing how to fix it. Men...

No CM action here, no eggs, no nothing except a big glass of wine and f*cked carpets.

Bucky - There was a lot of stamping feet, shouting, going in the huff on Friday about the cancelled holiday. I was throwing toys out of a pram I haven't even bought yet . I was pretty , but this is DH's big chance and it would make a difference to our lives, so I have swallowed it for now on the promise it never, EVER happens again (and he pays for the rescheduled trip). He is actually very good at not working too hard, work life balance stuff. We don't have a great track record on holidays!! We've cancelled two before - one holiday to Greece 'cause DH broke his leg and another to Finland when my parents decided to split up that weekend and it was World War 3 in the Gryffin family!

nothing else to report, no symptoms . I am definitely feeling "mumsy" though. First time ever. Normally I I wouldn;t be seen dead cooing over sweet little shoes and babygrows, but today I even looked on Blooming Marvellous . Could this be a sign (of something other than sad desperation)?!? Maybe my hormones have a retail side?

spookykitty · 28/10/2007 19:57

evening all

GG - you are taking it all so well I would be livid sorry I would, maybe it's because we will never get the chance to go to Las Vegas and if we did it would be with the DDs in tow. When you get pregnant plan one last just the 2 of us holiday, we did to NY it was great but I was 27 weeks pregnant and knackered.

Bucky - don't worry about being desitute once you have a baby you learn to not spend as much and when you do go shopping for example you spend it all on the baby anyway. Your dog sounds lovely btw.

pixie - keeping everything crossed for you x

CD25 for me I'm so fed up I don't feel like I'm pregnant this month, have been getting odd little pains around my pelvis but reckon thats just old age

Bucky2007 · 28/10/2007 20:28

SK Old age ? You crack me up.

GG Like I said you are a better woman than me. THREE cancelled holidays....you HAVE to be kidding me . I had a boyfriend who broke his leg and arm the Saturday before we were to go on holiday on the Sunday once and I still made him go! . Just kidding (maybe).

Well my wine consumption isn't going to make for a fertile bed for the egg this month...As I get older I am suffering from anxiety about change a lot and am drinking wine to compensate. I LOVE Finn, but all the crying is making me have a nervous breakdown (that's the dog crying). Not all the time, just at night time and when one of us goes out. DP has gone out and he cried for 15mins. Put him outside by himself for 10 mins to get him used to it a bit....he cried. Went to the loo when DP was out....so he was outside the room for what...one minute...alone, and he cried. Sheesh I feel like I am torturing the dog. What will I be like with a baby? . I know in a couple of weeks he will be fine, but I never realised I was such a sucker!

OP posts:
spookykitty · 28/10/2007 20:35

Bucky - I just feel old running about after 2 toddlers all day, am totally shattered tonight and have huge ironing to do for the week. Poor baby dog they are like babies in a way, we had a dog 9maybe shouldn't tell you this) as a puppy everytime we went out and left it alone it chewed something to shreads and ate it, like shoes, bits of the sofa, chunks of the wall and carpets grew out of it eventually. That's why I'm a cat person as I'm too lazy to go out in the rain to walk a dog, cats sleep 22 hours a day but they do scratch the furniture.

quidproquo · 28/10/2007 20:40

hello ladies not sure which thread to go on..
i am a 40+ er who is in the 2ww with you all and unable to just lurk atm!
had a mc in june at only 6 weeks
then a couple of busy months and just set to this month
not feeling hopeful this month

ashamed to say have already tested at 7 dpo - is that a record? no prizes for result!

Bucky2007 · 28/10/2007 20:50

Hey, welcome Quidproquo(cool name btw). Sorry to hear about the MC, they are horrid I can sympathise. You sound pretty resilient though, good for you . This is the best thread IMHO although the Baby waiting room and the MC thread (with something about cakes) move quite fast too.

Feel free to discuss bodily fluids, odd HPT purchasing compulsions, OPK obsesssions, temping discipline or if you are naughtly like me, just about anything that pops into your head or day. I also post all month round, even when not on the 2ww wait, like now when I am on CD8, so if you want to too you are welcome to take a ride on my bandwagon .

Hello again, and hope to hear lots from you.

OP posts:
Bucky2007 · 28/10/2007 20:51

Oh and not sure if you are the record. I think Iliketosleep on the MC thread might have tested earlier . But good going...you def qualify as a MNetter!

OP posts:
coolkat · 28/10/2007 20:52

Welcome quidproquo.
Bucky when you go out tomorrow remove all expensive footwear away from Finn just incase he decides to chew them - learn from our past mistakes!!! Although from what you have said he seem's well trained.

Well nothing to report here, although completed the relevant BD don't feel that I will be pregnant this month, time will tell but just don't feel any symptoms apart from feeling like I have PMT - Think TEW is coming for Halloween

Can't believe its monday again tomorrow, work... ewwww

digitalgirl · 28/10/2007 21:15

welcome QPQ we do cervical pursuit, cm checking and boob prodding and many other things in the name of symptom spotting.

for the record this thread is not getting rid of me either. have well and truly settled in here after a whopping 4ww!

I will have no symptoms to report over the next 7 days, but it's been so long since my last CD1 I've forgotten all the things I was doing at the beginning of the month. Will have to stock up on brazil nuts and grapefruit juice, start running again, remember to eat vegetables.
At least I can now chart my temps from the beginning and know for sure when I've ov'ed.

GG It must have been a really amazing opportunity for your DH that led to you both to cancelling the holiday. I hope he makes it up to you with a 5* luxury trip to the maldives. In the meantime feel free to not obsess about completely unrelated topics here on the 2ww thread.

bucky maybe print out a picture of you and DP for little Finn to trick him into thinking you're still there.

sk pains round the pelvis...could be something...? keeping my fingers crossed for you, coolkat and shreksmissus pixie you go girl! don't come a knockin' if the toadstool's a rockin'

07mumstheword · 28/10/2007 21:31

Welcome QPQ this is a really friendly thread so I'm sure it will help ease the 2WW.

TEW has got me good and proper so I'm back to CD1 but from what I've read I'm staying here too, glad you're not kicking me out for a fortnight

hope all going well for everyone else ttc aswell xx

GryffinGhoul · 29/10/2007 09:39

Morning all - I am back in the office . Another week, another mornign pretending to work while sneaking peeks at MN all morning. CD19 and the 2WW is going soooo slowly. A whole week to go before I can even contemplate an early test (resist resist! ) and not a symptom in sight yet.

Welcome to QPQ - I love the name and you are definitely in the right place and very welcome here. We usually insist that newbies bake us a cake , but you are let off this time.

Bucky - has Finn stopped whining?

Spooky- this was to be our last trip doing something that we couldn't do without DC's (on the hope?assumption?) that I am PG soon. We're lucky that without DC's for now that we can hopefully rearrange before the end of the year.

PMSL at DG saying "don't come a knockin' if the toadstool's a rockin'" to pixie, ha ha ha. Brilliant.

GryffinGhoul · 29/10/2007 09:40

and a big welcome to mylittleeloise too - so sorry to hear about your MC and you must stay here and symptom spot with us

digitalgirl · 29/10/2007 10:45

GG have actually spent the first 45 minutes of my working day catching up on personal emails, MN and Facebook!
Right, must do some work!

spookykitty · 29/10/2007 10:58

Morning ladies

I've been good no testing this morning, am going to pee on an ebay cheapie tomorrow morning not hopeful but am staying away from the CBDs

symptom wise - nothing apart from sore groin/ovaries/top of hips

mylittleeloise - hello and welcome to the thread, I'm a bit like you last 2 pregnancies (I have 2 DDs and one mc) I fell straight away thought it would be like that again but no success so far. I know exactly when I ovulate and have regular cycles so who knows whats going on, I've used opks so chances are I hatched an egg?

mylittleeloise · 29/10/2007 11:38

hi all

well now 4dpo and no symptoms, but suppose its too early, however i do feel like i have swallowed a space hopper

i already have a dd (so does that mean im ttc#3???? got pg after mc straight away)

SK was looking at some ulta early pg tests on ebay but didnt no if they really work, was hoping someone had t&t with good results
