Hi all, looking for some fellow ladies for support along our journeys. I'm 36 this year and TTC for the first time. First month just now and nervous. Any tips? I'm using clearblue 4 day ovulation tests just now and track my temp. Does anyone take certain vitamins? Thanks all and good luck 💗 xxx

Absolutely amazing news @maria1984m congrats!! I can imagine you want to tell everyone. I'm sure the weeks will fly in, please keep us update.
I'm absolutely shattered tonight, ovulation symptom in sure and an early start at work 💗 hows everyone else today?xxx

@MrsMacG10 I'm only on CD6 so not much going on with me. Have decided to be really strict with tempting this cycle though, so setting an alarm for 5.30 every day to pop the thermometer in my mouth ☺️

I do seem to have overdone it with the supplements though - I have UTI symptoms but no stinging when peeing, and they got way worse for a few hours after taking my vitamin B complex at lunch time. Did some research and seems Vit B can be asidic and cause irritation/inflammation, so will have to leave it a few days and see if that gets better 🙄 Really frustrating as read it's good to take various supplements to help get your body back on track after the pill, but may skip the Vit B and C for now and stick to just Pregnacare rather than taking everything at once!

I'm a 'Mac' too by the way ☺️ X

Awww, congratulations @maria1984m! Such wonderful and exciting news! 💜

Morning ladies.
So it's a long time from I passed any notice on my ovulation cycle.
I know you get a discharge etc. Can anyone explain is it light running up to the day of ov getting heavier?
Yesterday I had slight discharge on 1 wipe, not much. Then the same again this morning.
According to apps, my ovulation day is thurs and I'm just paying attention now to see of I can actually tell now we are trying.

MrsMacG10 · 23/06/2020 12:42

@MintGreenLife nice to be chatting to a fellow Mac lol! 😁😁 are you scottish too then?
Sorry to hear about the supplements, they can sometimes make me feel sick if I havent eaten when I take them.
I'm sure after a few months regular tracking you'll start to get to know your cycle 💗 xxx

@MrsMacG10 my family is Scottish but I was brought up in England. I won't me a Mac for much longer - government finally announced today that smaller wedding ceramonies are going ahead from the 4th of July, so we will be able to do a small wedding this year 😀

I've skipped the supplements today and will reintroduce Pregnacare tomorrow. Hopefully that'll be enough of a break so that I can start taking at least that for now. How are you getting on? X

MrsMacG10 · 24/06/2020 18:20

I'm good thanks @MintGreeLife just trying to work on the healthy eating. Not convinced weve conceived in cycle 1, I think that would just be super good luck. Expecting it to take a wee while 🤞🏻

@2alreadywantanother I've tried to add a pic I found online. If you google cervical mucus the stages will come up. Hope that helps xx

@MrsMacG10 yeah I've been checking. But cant gond any that state how long it lasts, 1 wipe or a few hrs.

L4uz · 24/06/2020 19:18

I'm 34 and this is our first baby.
After suffering an ectopic towards the end of last year, I logged my periods on an app called "Clue" which calculated my ovulation date based on my period start and finish dated. This proved to be pretty accurate as it worked first time! Smile baby due December this year!

2alreadywantanother · 24/06/2020 20:20

@L4uz ah no way. Congrats. So exciting.
Going by apps my ov day is tomorrow but I havent had much discharge so I'm not holding out much hope. Time will tell.

Ready2020 · 24/06/2020 20:35

I've decided trying to make a baby in this heat is ridiculous. It's too hot for sex 😂

2alreadywantanother · 24/06/2020 21:24

Lol.its never too hot

MintGreenLife · 24/06/2020 22:41

@Ready2020 I'm with you 😂 Not about being all sticky and trying to DTD urgh 🙈

MrsMacG10 · 27/06/2020 09:49

Morning ladies, how are you all today?xxx

Afternoon @MrsMacG10
Not sure where you guys are. But its lashing here. Got soaked out walking the dog.
I'm over weight and have nearly 2st off. Started walking 3/4 wks ago and doing around 35k a wk which for me is fantastic. I'm thinking if I get pregnant and keep this up it will help my back and pelvic area.

MintGreenLife · 27/06/2020 13:55

@MrsMacG10 I too have just got back from a very soggy walk with the dog! I'm CD11 now and seeing some changes to CM so hopefully going in right right direction ☺️ Started doing OPKs again yesterday too. Really hoping this cycle will be better than the last, my temps have settled into a pattern too and are steady, where as last cycle they were all over the place, so hoping that's a good sign 🤞🏼 How are you getting on? X

MrsMacG10 · 27/06/2020 17:23

I'm good, been busy working last few days so pretty tired today and had a headache. Hoping it's not due to starting to take the seven seas vits. It's the long wait now till my period is due!
The weather definitely is a bit crazy today! Been heavy rain here too.
So glad your temps are starting to even out @mintgreenlife
Have a fab weekend everyone 💗

Interesting what you say about the headaches. I am usually on pregnacare vits but they up set my tummy. I tried seven seas and had a month of really sore heads. I'm back on pregnacare but think I'll take turn about on them to try even out the side effects!

Franklyme8 · 28/06/2020 10:07

Hi ladies, first time poster, hope you don’t mind me getting in on this thread, I feel like you are all of my wave length!!

I’m 30 (nearly 31) TTC baby number 1 on cycle #1. Like someone else on this thread I’m meant to be getting married in September, unsure if we will be postponing to next year. But we’ve decided to start trying for baby now anyway! Trying to stay as chilled about it as possible at the moment, already know I won’t stay like it!

A random question, once you’ve DTD how long do you stay lying down for after? I try and keep laying down for as long as possible but I always need a wee (just generally haha) unsure if it makes an actual difference how long you keep it in for?

Hope you’re all having a lovely Sunday Smile

2alreadywantanother · 28/06/2020 10:13

@franklyme8 I dont think it makes a difference. Most online research says it doesn't as that's not were the pee comes from so wouldn't have any effect

MintGreenLife · 28/06/2020 10:15

Welcome ☺️ That was me that had a wedding planned for September. We've now officially postponed the 'wedding' until next year, but we are still going to get married in our original date this year with our immediate families. How long are you thinking of leaving it to make a decision? We only just decided all this a few days ago.

I'm 31 also and on cycle 2 of TTC baby number 1 ☺️

I stay lay down for 10-15 mins. From what I understand any swimmers that are going to get in there will do almost immediately, but it's just good practice to stay laid down for a little while afterwards. I'm prone to UTIs so I can't really leave it much longer without going for a wee 🙈 But that's the general advice anyway, 10-15 mins xx

MintGreenLife · 28/06/2020 10:15

@Franklyme8 message above x

Franklyme8 · 28/06/2020 10:43

@2alreadywantanother yeah that makes sense!

@MintGreenLife we’ve said we’ll wait until the next government announcement which apparently is 1st August, and then will have to make a decision (our wedding is end of September). We’re leaning towards what you are doing and still have the ceremony and have a celebration next year. It’s so hard! But the most important thing is that we just want to be married so just trying to think of that.

Okay that’s good I’m not alone in that then 🙈 clearly I’m already overthinking things haha!!

Tink2019 · 28/06/2020 18:10

@MrsMacG10 I haven't read through all the posts so apologies if other posters have given you this info, but I'd definitely recommend using both OPKs and BBT if you can. It might just be me, but I find OPKs a bit unreliable (I potentially have PCOS) so that may be why - it's a right pain doing BBT first thing when you wake up, but it's the only way I know I definitely ovulated. I'm 34 by the way and on cycle 9 x
