Hey girls, as @juno231 pointed out, we were almost at 1,000 messages on our last testing thread, so thought we should set up a new one for anyone that hasn't got their BFP this month. Of course a few of you may still get your positives :)

I'm just going to tag anyone that has posted on the thread in the last 24 hours or so, but please feel free to tag others that I've missed out...

@foreverhopeful67 @BbyBx2 @Muriel84 @Smushty14 @Smiling124 @33Carr @memily @LottieX

Of course this thread is based on a cycle of around 30days, so take the title with a pinch of salt as I'm sure some of us will be testing earlier and some of us later. I seem to be on track for a 33+ day cycle at the mo! xx

@ForeverHopeful67 AF showed and I'm on CD2 now! I appreciate the BBT warning - I think I'm just doing it to feel like I'm doing something different this cycle. It's like each cycle I add something new to the rota lol. So now I'm on ubiquinol, his and hers pregnacare, omega 3, evening primrose oil, OPKs and now BBT. I've also added grapefruit juice to the follicular phase and will be doing pineapple and pomegranate for the LP. Phew that's a lot!

@mintgreenlife I liked the article you linked! I've definitely noticed being spotty post pill which I never was before, and my periods are still super short and light which worries me a bit. Was already thinking I need to cut back on dairy for a while (for the spots) and this article emphasises it too so will def give it a go!

Weirdly I've not broken out at all since stopping the pill, which I fully expected. Makes me think my hormones probably haven't reset and perhaps I will get a late breakout. I have the opposite issue now in that I'm having a crazy long cycle, but my first AF (and only after breakthrough bleed) was so light, more like spotting and only lasted 4 days. I'm definitely going to switch to full fat dairy and try to minimise my intake. How do you find pregnacare? I think i'm going to give it a go to cover all of the vitamins mentioned in that article to help with resetting hormones post pill, but I've read lots of people say it messes up their cycle! I mean mine is clearly already a mess, but wouldn't want to make it worse :/ on the other hand other people have said it's helped regulate their cycles...hmmm.

@Juno231 sorry to hear AF got you! But Atleast you can get on with the next cycle now Smile and we can go through it together again!
Would you say you've seen much difference in any of the vitamins your taking? X

@ForeverHopeful67 @mintgreenlife I find it hard to judge what the supplements are doing to be honest as there's definitely been a change in my cycles the last few months but for all I know they're just post pill irregularities? (I came off the pill in Oct though so you'd think that would have chilled by now).

I suspect pregnacare has lengthened my cycle but it's been a good thing I think as at the start of the year my cycles could be as short as 24/25 days so now I have a proper follicular and luteal phase. I suspect it wouldn't lengthen it further if you already have long ones? Although they say to try agnus castus if they're as long as yours @mintgreenlife .

The omega 3 and EPO is for my CM. Last cycle I didn't look out for it much so don't know if I missed it - but when I started the cycle before was the first time I'd had proper EWCM since Oct (it was so good!) so I do think it helped. No clue about the ubiquinol as that's meant for improving egg quality so that's not something I'll ever be able to see a tangible difference with I guess.

Forgot I've been using pre-seed for 2 cycles as well but that's clearly not done much if I'm still here!

I'm hoping this is just post-pill problems, as I don't recall having long cycles before the pill, and my first cycle off the pill was 30 days. Think I got prematurely excited that my cycles had gone back to normal!

I was looking at omega 3 also, but feel like I will be taking so much. I already take a probiotic twice a day as I have IBS, and now planning on taking Pregnacare + extra vitamin D and vitamin C...not sure if you can go too far?! Maybe I'll try that for the first month, and look at adding in omega-3. This article here does seem to suggest omega 3 is pretty important for TTC though: www.parents.com/getting-pregnant/fertility/best-vitamins-and-minerals-to-aid-conception/

Im the same @ReginaaPhalange, due on Fri, two bfn later (a digital one makes it even harder) and she still hasnt arrived 😑 @MintGreenLife you seem so cluded up!! I am very uncertain as never had a cycle longer than 34 days... Now 35, exhauated and just wishing af would arrive or I could pick up a faint line!

ReginaaPhalange · 15/06/2020 22:55

@Smiling124 this is CD34, the longest I've ever had! We haven't had unprotected sex yet so defo not a pregnancy. I did ask DH if the condom has burst but I think we would have noticed.. 🤷🏼‍♀️

It's just typical! The month we decide to start trying, AF decides to be a little bitch and mess around with my cycle lol! Ill see if she's here by Wednesday and if not.... we'll I don't know if what haha!!!

@Smiling124 I'm on CD36 so we're not far apart! I'm self employed and work is quiet at the moment, so I've got lots of time to read all about TTC 🙈 I'm reading 'taking charge of your fertility' at the moment and finding it really helpful. I read 'the impatient women's guide to getting pregnant' last month too which was a good quick read x

@ReginaaPhalange I'm on CD37 😩 Were you tracking ovulation? I know I didn't ovulate until CD33 so obviously was going to have a long cycle x

@MintGreenLife I ovulated when I should have - so no idea what's going on.

I have a bit of an icky tummy (very noisy) but nothing else!

Hmm that's strange @ReginaaPhalange do you usually have a normal luteal phase (12-16 days)? Also love your user name by the way 😂

@MintGreenLife hehe thanks! But of a mad friends fan lol!!!

Yeah everything else has been normal! I wonder if it's cause it's the first month we want to start trying after AF goes lol!

I'm literally watching it right now 🙈 I loved it as a teenager and have watched it all again once since it went on Netflix, but being at home at a lot at the mo has resulted in me watching it again 😂 @ReginaaPhalange

Ahh so you're yet to start TTC then? You're not fresh off the pill or anything? X

@ReginaaPhalange I can relate lol, I'm starting TTC this month and just before it AF came late and was sooo frustrating lol. I kept doing pregnancy tests that I knew would be negative cos we hadn't been trying! Sometimes a change in diet, new medications/vitamins, or stress delays AF for me (once a full 2 weeks late!)

Report
ReginaaPhalange · 16/06/2020 20:29

@MintGreenLife we have it on every night as DH needs something to fall asleep too. Since it's been on Netflix, we complete all 10 seasons then go back to the start and it carries on haha!

I had my implant removed 2 years ago and have been fairly regular since then. Never been more than 31 day cycles and 28 being least. So this is odd! We have always used condoms, but seeing as our travel plans have been cancelled for the foreseeable future, we agreed now is the right time to start TTC. We agreed once this AF has been and gone that we would start as we had the conversation about this after my peak.

When I had the implant removed, the nurse advised me to track my ovulation and I'm lucky it's been consistent..... until now!

Anyone have a summary of what vitamins are good to take for TTC? I've just started taking folic acid. I already take strong vitamin D as I have a deficiency, but not taking anything else yet.

@acaciabluebell the only thing I've added to my lifestyle is folic acid! It's so strange!

@ReginaaPhalange haha endless friends watching for you two then!!

Oh no that's so annoying. It's just typical isn't it. As you ovulated at the usual time it is a bit weird that your luteal phase has gotten so much longer, unless there's a chance you ovulated later than you think? Fingers crossed AF will show up in the next few days, I'm sure she will ☺️

@acaciabluebell have you been tracking your cycles already? I was just taking folic acid and vitamin D, but since I've had two cycles off the pill I've come to realise I possibly have low progesterone, which can be caused by coming off the pill, so I've started taking Pregnacare as it contains all of the b vitamins and other vitamins that are reccomended to try and balance hormones post pill x

@MintGreenLife saying that, I did have a bit of EWCM last week...... but I already had that the day my app predicted I would ovulate earlier in the month/end of last month
