Anyone else 9DPO?

Hey guys, so I’m 9DPO today and I tested this morning with an IC and got a BFN. We used SMEP (mostly) this month, Preseed during the fertile week and ovulation tests, but I don’t think I’m pregnant. We’ve been trying for almost a year, and it hasn’t worked. Last June, I had a miscarriage after getting pregnant without trying at all. And now it just isn’t working. Oh.. I’ve been taking the Seven Seas trying for a baby pills this month too, even though I’ve forgotten to take them a few times.
I’m 9dpo today, and since this morning I’m getting dull cramps in my abdomen. It isn’t really in my lower abdomen either, although at some times it feels like it is. The cramps are mostly in the middle of my abdomen, just above and around my belly button area. I don’t have any other symptoms, except maybe tiredness. I’m always tired these days really early, but that may be because of how lazy I’ve become in this lockdown lol! I’m really bloated too, but I always become bloated for some reason after ovulation.
Is anyone else 9dpo today?

I just took an Answer pregnancy test now and I swear I see something. I’ve taken the test apart and there’s definitely a hint of something. Idk if it’s an evap or a line but there’s something.. I don’t want to get my hopes up though because this test did the same thing last month. Am I going mad?!

Hi. I think i can maybe see the start of a line in your test. We have been trying a year to now. No positives yet. Tested today 9 or 10 dpo and BFN So disheartening. I do hope this is your month xx

dreamerkr · 29/05/2020 13:56

I hope it’s your month too, and I know, it’s so disheartening each month when my period starts. I got a clear negative in the IC I did this morning and this is probably, most likely negative too tbh because I used this same test last month and it gave me the same start of a line/evap line or whatever it is. So I’m not thinking too much of it! But we’re still early. When’s AF due for you? x

I find the casing on the FRER makes it difficult to see. I opened one once had a pink line but then my period came. I feel like I've actually lost my mind today 🤣🙈 i can't see to switch off from it all. Looking at old threads and contemplating paying for private IVF. Ill be 35 in december so feel like time is running out to wait for NHs. Af due Wednesday. I usually spot from day 11 although had a few cycles when i was spotting on day 9. I did an IC with urine and one with water. Both have an indent at exact same place but urine one always has another line closer to control line. Way after time limit but hoping its something xx

dreamerkr · 29/05/2020 15:05

I agree, the casing of the FRER is always weird and I always have to end up opening it lol! The same thing’s happened to me too, after taking a FRER. I always tell myself that I won’t test early this month but I always end up caving in. Ugh.
You’re still early so it might be something! Don’t lose hope, I keep telling myself too.
Have you been to your GP? I’m gonna visit my GP after this lockdown is over, if I’m not pregnant which I doubt I’ll be. I’ve ordered Clearblue tests off Amazon, but I doubt I’ll be needing them. AF will most likely have started before they arrive. Are you trying for your first? IVF has entered my mind too, but I’m not sure because I’m a bit younger.. will they let me have it? Idk. I keep thinking that I got pregnant last year without trying, so why isn’t it happening now? It sucks x

Im the same keep saying i wont test early as makes me more confused but always do. I already felt crap today though so thought i might as well test as it wouldn't make me feel worse. Sorry to hear about your MC. I think with you being pregnant before then chances are you will again. It really is just luck if no issues whichis annoying. After a year you could get some initial tests done for peace of mind.

I went in January and said we had been trying a year. I got bloods and husband had sperm test all came back normal. Doctor said if we were younger she would say to try for longer but due to age and the wait times she would refer. Ivf seems such a dififcult process and tough mentally and physically so I'd rather not but i haven't got time to wait and hope we get lucky xx

dreamerkr · 29/05/2020 15:36

I hope you get your BFP soon, and that you feel better soon. It’s almost been a year, so sometime next month when hopefully the lockdown is over, I’m going to visit my GP and ask for tests.

One of my cousins had a baby girl last month, after 13 years of marriage. She’s 35 too, and she had IVF. It seems like a difficult process, of course, but it’s so worth it if it works. Hopefully you’ll get pregnant soon, but if you don’t then I think you should go for it. I’ll be turning 24 soon, so I don’t think the doctors would let me get IVF yet because I’m so young but I’m definitely gonna get tests done x

We will definitely go for it. Just not sure whether to pay if we could get pregnant naturally. Its just if it was successful we wouldn't get NHS for a 2nd and doubt we could afford to pay again.

You have plenty of time. I think if i was younger id do the trying not trying for a bit. I was 29 when i met my husband so couldn't try younger.

I imagine they will do all the basic tests for you and if all come back normal tell you to try for another 6 months before referring. Then by time you wait another year for treatment you'd have been trying for ages so definitely good idea to get the ball rolling. Ive kind of expected IVF from when we started. My doctor was lovely gave me peacd of mind. With a 25% chance you cant just keep going and going though xx

dreamerkr · 29/05/2020 16:09

Have you tried Preseed or Conceive Plus? It’s my first month using Preseed, but it seems good. They both have amazing reviews too.

Yeah, I’m gonna soon make an appointment with my GP and then see what he says. I just hope that everything’s fine after the miscarriage xx

Whilstwewait · 29/05/2020 18:13

Ive tried preseed. Ive literally tried everything now 🙈 someone posted an article where they tested loads of lubricants and preseed killed some sperm. Apparently its only advised for those who need some lube. If its not needed its counter productive. Ive heard lots of success stories though.I dont get much CM so may try cough medicine next cycle. Its meant to really help xx

dreamerkr · 29/05/2020 18:27

Oh! I don’t get much CM too so I tried it this month and it really helped. ☺️

Really? Cough medicine is meant to help? How?! Haha xx

Ive read loads of posts that said it helped. I drank so much water this cycle and took evening primrose oil but made no difference really. Im hoping mines just high up where it needs to be rather than causing a problem xx

slimshadyscousin · 29/05/2020 18:39

Hey both! I am 9DPO today too, took a test this morning which was a BFN but I’m still hopeful. Only on cycle 2 of TTC so early days for us. Been pregnant twice before so I know it’s possible, just hoping it will stick this time around!

CocoaN · 29/05/2020 18:51

Hey ladies! I’m 9dpo too, ttc first baby since autumn last year. Had a miscarriage earlier this year which lasted a good few months so only just started ttc again last month. Did SMEP this time (god that was tiring 😂). Had a v.v.v faint line on a frer this morning and praying it’s not an evap! It’s so hard not to become obsessed isn’t it?! Wishing you all lots of luck for this cycle 🤞🏼

slimshadyscousin · 29/05/2020 19:02

Ooooh fingers crossed @CocoaN !! It’s very difficult to switch off once you get into the OPKs, BBT etc. The weekends are the hardest as I don’t even have work to take my mind off googling every single bloody non existent symptom lol. Fx for you, let us know how that line progresses!

dreamerkr · 29/05/2020 19:08

@Whilstwewait very interesting! I might try it too, I’m willing to try anything at this point haha xx

OP posts:
dreamerkr · 29/05/2020 19:10

@slimshadyscousin hey! Hopefully you’ll get your BFP soon. I’m thinking the same, but at times I start losing hope. I had a miscarriage last year, and sometimes think that it’ll happen again but it shouldn’t be so difficult! It’s not fair haha. Fingers crossed for you x

OP posts:
dreamerkr · 29/05/2020 19:13

@CocoaN hi! I did SMEP this month too, and it was really tiring! And that’s what I felt too like I got the faintest hint of a line in the pics I attached above, but I’m not sure tbh. It might be an evap, because I used this exact test last month too and it gave me a similar result and then I got my period two days later. Ugh. Wishing you luck too! ☺️

OP posts:
CocoaN · 29/05/2020 19:40

@slimshadyscousin yes weekends are the worst without work!! I just constantly trawl through threads on ttc 😂 and the symptom spotting is ridiculous isn’t it?! Thank you, I’ll keep you all updated!

@dreamerkr your line looks like mine! One minute I’m positive then the next just all doom and gloom. Thank you 😊 are you going to test again soon?

dreamerkr · 29/05/2020 19:48

@CocoaN I’m gonna try to hold off testing for 3 days until my period is due if it doesn’t start earlier, but I’m probably gonna end up caving and test again tomorrow 😂 and same! One minute I’m positive and hopeful, and the next I’m upset and lose all hope.

OP posts:
CocoaN · 29/05/2020 19:59

@dreamerkr don’t worry I’ll be testing in the morning too 😂

Whilstwewait · 29/05/2020 20:03

@slimshadyscousin @CocoaN welcome both. Hoping this is your month.

I may test again in the morning. Why the hell not now ive started. I got a pack of 20 cheap tests so plenty POAS can be done xx

CocoaN · 29/05/2020 20:26

@Whilstwewait thank you! Fingers crossed for you too. The testing is the only thing that helps give me a bit of control I think so like you said..why the hell not! xx

slimshadyscousin · 29/05/2020 20:32

Thank you for the welcome! @Whilstwewait I think I may join you testing tomorrow too, as you say once you have started it’s hard to stop!
