Just thought I would start a new thread for everyone about to enter into their fertile window for this month so we can chat (then go crazy in TWW together! 🤣)

Love catching up with the bigger threads but everyone is at different stages so will be nice to have a small group of us here.

I am 29, OH is 31 and we are now on cycle 3 of TTC first baby. CD10 today and FW starts tomorrow. Ovulation predicted as Thursday-Saturday depending on which app I go off.

I will be attempting to track CM, using OPKs since yesterday and also BBT wherever I can to get a clearer picture!

@JoesM12 @Littlebee1990 most couples take up to a year so be prepared for that. If you're younger than 30 I believe it's about 6 months. I'm on cycle 9 now but I am 34.

Hi everyone. 10 DPO for me. Feel like im out as my temp dropped this morning but ive been waking loads so probably not accurate. I feel the same as i do every month. Desperate to test but id rather live in hope for a couple more days rather than know im out. Be closer to my next FW then. Ever since we started trying i just kind of new it wouldn't be easy. Cycle 12 next xx

@notyetamumbuttrying I’m 25 and we’ve been trying 8 months 😂 so that rules me out of the 6 month time frame 😂 even more annoying because my friends that are already mums in their 30’s say “oh you’re young it’ll happen right away 🙄 not that being in your 30’s isn’t young of course. Just frustrating!!! We’re fully prepared for it to take a year now. Just praying it isn’t any longer 😕

@whilstwewait I find the temp thing so frustrating! But your lower temp could be from waking more often. Stay hopeful and see how it is tomorrow. Also a temp drop at 10dpo could be implantation!!! Fingers crossed!!
My temp was higher than it’s ever got to the day before yesterday then it dropped by .15 yesterday and back up to high again today.
I don’t know if it’s because it’s been warmer weather 🤷🏼‍♀️
I think if af this month I’m going to give the tracking a break for a few weeks, it’s driving me bananas analysing every little thing!x

Madness really @JoesM12 there's no one rule fits all in this ttc game. I'm very fed up now. 1dpo for me today, so just in the tww game now, even more fun, not 🙄 can you tell I'm fed up 😆

@notyetamumbuttrying there really isn’t! I mean I think your age plays a part and if your ovulate regular etc but I think it is just pot luck! There only a 25% chance each month which is tiny!!
I’m 8dpo and not really sure how I feel. I have no symptoms yet but every month before I’ve all the symptoms possible so who knows!!
I’m fed up too 😂

@joesM12 and @notyetamumbuttrying it definitely is just pot luck if there are no issues. There are people in their 20's who struggle and those in their late 30's who get pregnant no problem. Some people get pregnant month 1 miscarry and then it takes another year. No rhyme or reason to it. I remember reading 90% of people getting pregnant within 12 months so im feeling incredibly unlucky. Only 1 more chance for me to hit that stat. I was feeling so fed up so i tested. Thought it couldn't make me feel any worse. Negative but still spent forever holding it to the light, inverting the pic etc 🤣 xx

I agree @joesM12 im definitely not temping again. All its done is put me in a bad mood all day so not worth it. Its good to check your actually ovulating but after that just a headache xx

Good luck for this cycle @JoesM12 let us know how you get on! I won't be testing until 11th June or might just wait until the 12th when af is due.

I'm on cycle 10 and I now I only do my temperature the day after my period until I get my 3 days of higher temps to confirm ovulation. I used to stress about any temp drop so I just stopped, im dpo 8 and I feel relaxed (taken a long time to get to this point) not really had any systems apart from a few twinges in my belly but that could be anything. I'm going to be 32 in june but hoping we get a positive before we have been ttc for a year 🤞 feeling quite positive in myself this month which I pretty much haven't since we started trying due to work/life stress but I've been doing fertility yoga and it's made me feel good so deff recommend that! Not sure if I will test or wait till Af yet xx

@Lori23TTC best of luck to you! Another one for fertility yoga now. Will have to look into this!

@Lori23TTC Im definitely getting rid of the thermometer next cycle it does me no good. Ive been doing normal yoga this cycle which i absolutely love so may try the fertility one next. I dont know how may more months of trying i can cope with. Feel time is ticking away and not getting any closer. Hope this is your month x

@Whilstwewait I know how you feel... I do feel like it will happen and at the time it is meant too.. just hard to be patient each month, got to try and think its another chance to get pregnant rather than oh another month were not (easier said than done)
Once you have confirmed ovulation then no need to do it, to much hassle and if you are pregnant then you will find out at some point, the temp drops are so upsetting better to try and relax. Fingers crossed for you this month, as they say you are not out until AF turns up xx

@Lori23TTC @Whilstwewait I’m also going to stop tracking my temps next month. It’s too much stress waking up every morning past like 6 dpo hoping for that dip!

I think our plan next month is to BD every other day after af ends until I get a temp rise for 3 days like @Lori23TTC says. I’m not doing opks because I think they’re putting too much pressure on our sex life and making it all to regimented and not very exciting which we both miss. We shall see! AF is due Wednesday so im still hoping she stays away 🤞

How is everyone else doing? Has anyone tested yet? Hoping for lots of good news on this thread ❤️

@Lori23TTC i feel in a much better minset today. The temp definitely ruined my friday. Ive put it in another room to avoid temptation.Love how you said to think of it as another chance rather than another month that im not pregnant.

There is a lot of pressure and stress in ttc and if you can try and be happy and relaxed then it will happen one day 🤞

When's AF due?
How's everyone else doing today? Any testers early June?

@notyetamumbuttrying I think im out. Im 11 DPO and getting my usual pre AF spotting although only a little bit. Ive tested and cant really see a line. We have decided tonight to go down the private IVF route. Neither of us want to wait for the NHS referral. I know it probably will happen eventually but we don't really have the time. Will probably give it two or three more cycles xx

@Whilstwewait I started doing fertility yoga a few weeks ago. It has helped loads with relaxing and being healthy. My car broke down earlier this week and I had to take several days off of work. Just a stressful time at the moment.

My morning temp went really high after dipping. I think it's implantation and pregnancy so I immediately took a pregnancy test with s m u. I got a really faint line. Will test again in a few days. I was originally going to test on Tuesday or Wednesday but seeing that increase in temp is kind of making me crazy

To those who AF came, I'm so sorry. Fingers crossed for next month.

Oh wow @Whilstwewait are you close to the year mark now or over it, I forget sorry? We're gonna go get all the tests done at the year mark but not decided anymore than that at the moment. It's scary to think about but needs to be addressed when the time comes. We're 3 months away from our year mark (from tomorrow) so it's looming...

@notyetamumbuttrying we will be going into cycle 12. I went to doctors in January as i was worried about my husbands sperm as he was on anti depressants. I would say to go a bit before the year mark as it took about 2 months just for the tests as had to time it around my cycle. One month my progesterone test fell on a weekend so had to wait till the following month. Then had to book appointment to drop sperm sample off and had to make sure it didnt fall during fertile week. All tests came back fine. Doctor said she would normally tell us to try for 6 more months if i was younger but because i was 34 put us on fertility waiting list as the wait can be long. Its worth going just for peace of mind xx

I'm 34 too @Whilstwewait! I rang my docs last week and she said we're too soon still. I will book an appointment at month 11 and say this is in anticipation of month 12 as I know how long things can take, and pray they let us! I just hope we don't get to that point. I feel positive about this cycle but it'll prob end in AF again and it just makes me feel so helpless! Best of luck with going private, please keep us posted!!

I started the tests this week, I called the doctors and said we are cycle 10 but I have been off the pill for 2 years and although started tracking in August last year we have never got pregnant and having unprotected sex, and he said he wanted to get me in. I had bloods taken on Wednesday, I have to go back between day 2-5 of my period for more (I'm due on thursday) so will book that when I come on. I have a ultra sound booked in 2 weeks. It's for peace of mind that hopefully nothing will be wrong. I was expecting them to say I had to wait but maybe as I'm 32 soon thats why. Xx

Glad you are managing to get some tests done. I told the doctors it had been nearly a year even though it hadnt and they never questionned it ,so i was lucky. Glad I did now. I haven't been offered an ultrasound which is annoying. My doctor told me my husband had to do a sperm anaylsis before they would do anything else so be worth your partner contacting his doctors.

My husband has just spoken to his mate who had IVF on the NHS so we have a lot more information now which is great. We we are going to get in touch with the clinic he used. IVF on nhs was a year wait when they did it and looking at an extra 4 months minimum on top of that now cos of covid so just far too long. Although now we are taking steps my mindset has change and i keep thinking ill get pregnant in next couple of months whereas before we made the decision I just kept thinking we had no chance confused]

Hoping it doesnt come to IVF for any of us xx
