I am on Cycle 2 TTC and on CD15 following SMEP plan this month, tracking BBT and using OPKs xx

If anyone had a miscarriage around 6 weeks how soon did your first period arrive?

Normally today would be the day my period would be due, I’ve been getting all the cramps since yesterday that my period is about to arrive any moment but it’s nowhere to be seen. We did get straight back to trying, although I’ve no idea when I ovulated, we just had sex every other day. I was thinking that my period would be delayed anyway?

Normally I’d wait until my period is due and then test, but as I’ve no idea when that is I’m not sure. I feel a bit ridiculous testing when I feel like my period is due (and only have an overpriced digital my husband bought when I was pregnant last month in, which I normally only use after a positive on a cheap test!). I just thought I’d ask what everyone’s first cycle did? I don’t feel like I’m pregnant... but then again I said that with my second child!

@HE88 Thank you! Trying to work out a due date is proving difficult as I haven't had a period yet 😂

Hey @DontStandSoClose mine took 8 weeks. Everyone is different some have only been a couple of days out. Worth doing a test if you DTD regularly this month xxx

@lma00015 ah that will be tricky could you put the 1st day of bleeding you had from the MC? Xx
@DontStandSoClose they say your period can take 4 to 6 weeks to come after a MC. I was 10 weeks when I had my mmc and my period came 5 weeks after that. Xx

@HE88 I wasn't sure if you put the first day of MC down or the day of conception? Il just need to wait it out till I get a scan I recon x

Congrats @lma00015 🥳 you can work out your estimated due date from your last bleed (which is your last period really) when was that? Thats how the NHS work out due dates rather than on ovulation/ conception date, It's just an estimate at this stage anyway and when you get your scan they'll give you your real updated due date ☺️

@DontStandSoClose my period wasn't really delayed, it was a 31day cycle (average is 28days but 31 isn't unusual for me) from MC bleed the Dr told me on average it takes 4-6 weeks so normal cycle length, maybe take a test a few days after your period would be due x

@SmileyT I haven't had a period since my miscarriage, so do I just take the first day of my miscarriage and calculate it that way?

@lma00015 Yeah the MC would be the start of this cycle for you so you use that date as the Last menstrual period date (in theory your MC is the last time you shed the lining of uterus so same as a period) and then you can work out due date, that's what the Drs will ask for, when they scan they'll update it based on size👌🏾

@2020wish the digital you did on Friday could have been freakishly sensitive. Af isn't due so you could just be under 25miu so these ones aren't working yet but the 10miu ones are. Fingers crossed x

I think I'll give it until Friday, to see if my period stays away. With my second child it felt like I'd had a period without actually having a period, I actually called it my phantom period as I tested once my period was a couple of days late and it was negative, so I assumed it was one of those freaky periods. I only found out 2 weeks late that I was actually pregnant. I was breastfeeding though and ovulated very late.

Well after a bfp on the 12th I started bleeding yesterday and got a confirmed Mc today. Back to back mc for me.

@DBTJ I'm so sorry to hear this... was it confirmed by a scan? This must be heartbreaking to happen twice, were the doctors able to offer any help or a referral? Xx

Thanks for all your quick responses I appreciate it. I have been suffering in silence the past day. My gp was fantastic she gave me a letter to take to epu who scanned me and took my bloods. Nothing showed on the scan I was praying it was because I was early. I got the dreaded call this afternoon that my hcg levels have gone down. I have started to pass clots so it all feels real now.
I was 5 weeks. I mc last month at 6 weeks. I have booked appointment for Wednesday with my gp. Telephone consultation

Guess who caved and tested this morning? 😩🙄

Honestly, once I'd opened and dipped I felt silly. Obviously BFN, I'm either 7/8 DPO. Now to hold off until Friday. Even if AF does come Saturday I would be either 12/13DPO which seems more likely for a positive result doesn't it xx

Morning @VP91x definitely too early to test, are you using FRERs? I'll be impressed if you make it to Friday 😂 how are you feeling?

😂 Yeah, I have x3 FRERs left now and a CB triple check pack on its way. Can never say I'm under prepared, ha. I know, I've lost the plot.

Feeling alright, been feeling tired and now getting that "womby" feeling but could just be pre menstrual (hopefully not). How are you doing? Xx
