Hi all,

I joined a similar thread last month and found it really supportive. It’d be great to hear from others.

We’ve been trying for number 2 for two years now and each month gets more emotionally difficult. Xx

Hi all - hope it’s ok for me to join! I’m 34 and on my 10th month of this madness. I’m due AF 11th - 14th May. Best of luck to you all x

Has anyone else found that their cycle different during lockdown? For the last 10 months, I’ve gotten a peak on OPKs like clockwork on CD11 (normally 30/31 day cycles) but this month it’s shifted to CD16.

No idea what that means but I’m working on the assumption that change is at least interesting?! Hope is so cruel though.

I started trying bbt / tracking my temp this week and somewhat alarmed to see temps mostly in the 35.0 region with the occasional jump into a low 36.0.

Husband has long suspected I am infact a White Walker due to my ice cold feet... maybe he’s right?!

BernadetteSunday · 02/05/2020 18:04

Very sorry for your loss @Cheesybiscuits01 Sending you good vibes x

Cheesybiscuits01 · 02/05/2020 19:29

@bernadettesunday thank you. I've never tracked my temp just opk. Hopefully its just one of those strange things.

primrose2020 · 02/05/2020 19:49

Hi Everyone hope it's ok for me to join! 4th cycle for our first. AF due around 10th so hopefully going to hold off testing until then.

Haven't used OPKs since first cycle because I felt obsessive and it took over my life! But every month I have one day of EWCM, had none this month tho so not sure what that means 😩

Fingers crossed next weekend we start to see some BFP in here 🤞🏻 xx

Sussexbysea · 02/05/2020 20:26

@primrose2020

Welcome 😊 I get months where I don’t have any EWCM but get positive clear blue tests. It can be really confusing can’t it?

Fingers crossed for a positive for you next week xx

Does anyone else wish they could switch their brain off during the ttw! I'm 4/5dpo today. I've had cramps strong enough I though my period had come early and kept going to check, also had a shooting pain on my right side really low down for about a minute. I think I ovulated on my left side though 😑 It's just so frustrating!

SmileyT · 03/05/2020 00:01

@hayho87 my TWW starts tomorrow and I'm already bored of it 🤦🏾‍♀️

@BernadetteSunday how do you take your temp? First time I started taking it I was doing under arm and it came up much lower but around the 36 mark now orally. I only started tracking properly this month so haven't noticed any change in lockdown, but if you had a regular luteal phase at longer than 16 days it might be a good sign about your hormone levels if that drops down to around 14 🤞

@Cheesybiscuits01 sorry for your loss, I also lost a pregnancy in March at 9 weeks so I know it can be nerve wracking but everything I've read says you are at no higher risk than anyone else of it happening again so try and stay positive xx

lucymagoo · 03/05/2020 07:45

This TWW is excruciating! It's my partner and I's first after getting married late last year and my cycles are only starting to get regular after the pill. This is probably our first month of trying realistically and definitely the first month I'm sure of when I ovulated. Only another 10 days to go 🤦🏻‍♀️

raspberryjamlove · 03/05/2020 07:52

Yes to wishing they can switch off during this tww. I really hate that it consumes my thoughts and I'm googling everything like a mad woman. I've started temping this month so that's given me something new to look up and get o sesames about hehe

Positevibes · 03/05/2020 09:20

Morning all I think I'm 3DPO today and so the long TWW starts. Has anyone read about using your Fitbits HR to tell whether you've been successful I found a really interesting post about it but I'm now becoming a bit obsessed with checking it 🙄

SmileyT · 03/05/2020 09:30

@Positevibes when I found out I was pregnant my only real clue was a rise in RHR, it started about 8dpo (I think, I wasn't tracking ovulation) and a couple days after missed period it was the highest it had ever been. I think up until implantation everything will be the same as in normal cycle and then it will continue to rise, but having looked back this has happened in cycles I didn't conceive aswell. Basically like with most things in ttc it's different for everyone and not an exact science 😂

bluebubbles12 · 03/05/2020 11:34

Hello! I hope you don't mind me joining a bit late to the party. AF is due 18th May so I'm hoping seeing how you guys get on will keep me going!

I came off the pill in January and I've used an app to track ovulation since then. I'd say last month was the first month I really paid attention to timings. The app says today is my ovulation day, but I've been using opks off Amazon for the first time this month and still haven't had a positive, so I'll keep testing and see what happens.

Crossing my fingers for all your BFPs this month!

Skyla01 · 03/05/2020 12:20

@BernadetteSunday welcome! I'm also too many months in the ttc game. I have super cold feet too- one month I tried sitting with a hot water bottle on them every night as I heard cold feet = cold uterus. (Didn't work conception wise...). It seems a lot of women are having ovulation a bit later- I would put it down to corona stress.

@Cheesybiscuits01 sorry for your loss, I can understand why you are anxious. This waiting can be a bit rubbish.

I hear everyone for trying to survive the TWW without going mad! This month I've haven't tracked very closely and haven't opened my app since cd1 to log AF. Not being able to obsessively count CD and dpo (like I usually do) seems to help. Lack of distractions at the mo not so much! I'm enjoying mumsnet more this month- trying to get wrapped up in everyone else's news / cycle/ symptoms etc rather than my own!

beachbum85 · 03/05/2020 12:24

Hi everyone,

Can I join too? First time I'm posting but it seems like a good idea to be able to share with women going through similar stuff...

I'm 34, OH is 39, it's our 10th cycle TTC #1. This month we're trying SMEP for the first time - we followed it to a T although BDing on demand is not the best. Positive OPK was CD10, a bit earlier than usual, and AF is due on the 13th. I don't usually test unless I'm late, but SMEP suggests testing on the 11th so I might do that.

So, TWW here as well and whilst I'm usually symptom spotting non-stop, I don't have a single symptom this time round, so I'm not getting my hopes up!

Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone and looking forward to hearing how everyone gets on Star

SmileyT · 03/05/2020 13:21

@beachbum85 I'm also trying SMEP this month (just finished the 3 in a row this afternoon 😂) and would normally wait to see if AF arrives but SMEP is suggesting the 16th, we'll see how I'm feeling at the time.

@bluebubbles12 I was using my Fitbit to track my periods before ttc and seems the apps assume everyone has 14days between ovulation and their period but can be between 10-16days so hopefully your positive opk is round the corner. How many times are you testing a day?

lucymagoo · 03/05/2020 13:42

Concerned AF is coming early 😭 I have cramps and the usual hormonal chin spot that appears every month without fail. Fingers crossed the pill is out of my system but wouldn't be surprised if it came any day now. Anyone else feeling a little defeated already?

bluebubbles12 · 03/05/2020 13:44

@SmileyT yeah hopefully. It says for 28 day cycles to test from CD11, but with it being the first time using them I wanted to get used to it and started from CD7. So I'd like to think I haven't missed it. Just been testing once a day at the same time, about 5pm. Would you recommend testing more than once? Could you miss it just doing it once? Thanks 😊

LynzP85 · 03/05/2020 13:57

@Positevibes I use OPK's and find the strips tests are more confusing so I got the Clearblue ones which tell you when your 'High' and 'Peak' so much better than trying to dissect a strip test!

As for ovulation dates mine vary EVERY month... I ovulate from anywhere between day 14 to day 21! So testing is key in my household!!

I ovulated on days 20-22 this month and period due around 12th May.... our 10 year wedding anniversary is 14th May so I would really like a positive this month. We have a 3 year old daughter already and I had a MMC on 1st Jan this year. We haven't tried every month, took Jan and March off so hoping this month it sticks....

So far this week though, I feel EXHAUSTED! 🤞🏻

Positevibes · 03/05/2020 14:14

@LynzP85 good luck I hope this is our month 🤞🏼

beachbum85 · 03/05/2020 14:22

@SmileyT the success stories sound very promising, so let's see! Smile

@LynzP85 sorry about MMC, hoping this month will be the one. It's our 12-yr anniversary (from when we got together, as we're not married) on the 20th, so it would be perfect timing for us too... Fingers crossed

hayho87 · 03/05/2020 15:52

5 dpo, I have 5 days off work with hubby, do I have a drink or not?? I'm really undecided 😑 I never go mad anyway but I'm just not sure!

SmileyT · 03/05/2020 16:03

@bluebubbles12 as you get near to what you think will be ovulation I would be testing more than once a day so you don't miss it. This month I tested at 4.30pm on CD13 and got a peak by 7am the next day it was negative again (although was still darker than the rest of the month). Attached my chart for you to have a look at x

@hayho87 I've given up the booze 🙄 although I'm not sure how long I'll keep that up if it gets to like a year of trying.

BabyDust13 · 03/05/2020 16:23

@hayho87 I've cut right down had a couple of glasses of wine last night

hayho87 · 03/05/2020 16:34

@smileyT I'm on cycle 19 so getting a bit fed up! 😂
