Testing around 13th May

We’ve been trying for number 2 for two years now and each month gets more emotionally difficult. Xx

@Sussexbysea I’m sorry to hear about your MC, we females go through many seasons of sun and storm but together we can all have our happy ever after! I’m hoping this is our moment of US. How is this cycle going for you?

This might be a stupid question, but is it better to POAS or dip test from a cup?

AF arrived for me today, 3 days earlier which is unusual but I’m almost certain it’s that and not implantation bleeding. Am sad but it took 9 months last time so expecting same or longer. Good luck to all of you for this week xxx

@TTCgee let us know what the outcome is I've been experiencing cramps and backache since ovulation and feeling so dizzy and lightheaded today. Definitely strange symptoms for me x

@jodi3 I always tend to dip into a cup with ovulation or the cheapie sticks as it's easier for me but usually use POAS for clear blue etc xx

@j**@j@j0di3 I find dipping much easier to make sure I'm doing it right, tend to use a hairspray cap or similar as a cup 😂

@lucymagoo omg I've been using a hairspray cup too 😂😂😂

Yeah with the smaller sticks there's a clear line you're not supposed to go over so it's definitely easier xx

@CaramelTart23 yeah it's hard when you hear of people that get pg on a night out and drink and smoke throughout their pregnancy and have healthy babies 🤷🏾‍♀️ I'm trying not to symptom spot as I know it doesn't change the outcome and will just leave me more disappointed I will wait until the 20th and if no AF I'll test but very much expect my period to be here next weekend and then it's on to a new cycle x

@TTCgee @lucymagoo thanks for the advice! I’ll see if I’ve got any hairspray caps in the house. I can’t believe how complicated everything is - I always thought it was easy to get pregnant 😂

I have a Clearblue x 2 pack which says you can test up to 6 days early but want to wait until at least Wednesday when I’ll be 13dpo! But don’t know if I will be able to resist the temptation!

@SmileyT I couldn't resist and tested this morning with a FRER. Got a BFN at 14DPO so 99.9% sure I'm out unfortunately. It was an extremely strange cycle though, had sore boobs since a few dpo up until now and spotted 3 times.
Timeline- april 25-EWCM, 26- probably ovulation, 27- brown spotting, may 2- pink spotting, 6- brown spotting. Plus I've had creamy cm for the past week when normally it would be sticky 😕 Didn't pay any attention to stomache as my imagination is quite strong lol

@Leema23 welcome! I would wait until AF is late before testing, but of course you can get a positive before that.

@Rhall26 hi! Yes I also hoped we would conceive quicker than we are. It gets a bit hard work after a while. But most people get there eventually so just gotta keep going each month.

@SmileyT tummy feels better today but no energy at all... been lying around all day. Caved and took another test and I'm sure I saw the faintest of lines but no point in uploading on here as you deffo can't see it in a picture. Fx for you!! X

Thought I may aswell upload my tests as it's bugging me!!! Line eyes? It is barely there in person so I doubt you will be able to see anything but just in case. 11dpo today.

@Skyla01 my previous pregnancy I tested at 10dpo and the lines were very bold. I’ll hold off as much as I can as it’s still early to even test anything now. sigh could the days go any slower lol

I find the blue tests really hard to read @Bailey93 but can't see anything on those unfortunately

@lucymagoo Thanks Just bought some cheapie opk tests from amazon so next month at least I'll know for sure when I ovulate. Kinda just wish AF would show early right now so I can move on to cycle 2 already.

@SmileyT I’m trying my best not to symptom spot but some symptoms are just too too obvious to go a miss.
I’ve been weeing like a mad person, deffo not a sign of UT infection as I’ve had those in the past and this doesn’t feel like it.
It’s agonising waiting and waiting and waiting 😩 According to my Flo app AF should be here in 8 days. But only time will tell 🙏 I’m on my 5th cycle, I’m use to being disappointed but this cycle feels a lot different!! I’ve not had a positive OV test in the other cycles fingers crossed for all the ladies here x

I caved, due to being ridiculously weepy this weekend which is only getting worse, was sat in my gorgeous sunny garden and feeling sad/upset for no reason! So anyway the result of which is I'm getting evap type lines on ICs after they've dried. I've done 3 and they are all like it, but so faint and well outside the time limit. I wouldn't normally think much of it but I've used many of these tests before and never a hint of anything, during or after the time limit. Showed DH and he admitted it was faintly there but "not really there" if you see what I mean. Not even convinced it's worth uploading a pic. I'm going to try not to think about it until the morning!

Personally I find the blue tests annoying, they don’t detect hcg levels so early on, also evap lines are usually the case with the blue ones. It’s better to use the cheapies or buy them off Ebay, I’ve bought 30 dip tests for £4 this time round. They are also hospital graded ones, which can detect PG way earlier than the blue test. Try not to drink as much water during the night so that way you have a high level of Hcg in your pee before testing 🙏🙏

Yes I think I may order a FRER. They do seem hard to read. I looked at the test from 9dpo and there's a clear line but it deffo must be an evap line! So frustrating.

Does anyone have any dip tests they recommend? There seems to be loads on amazon!
