@Noble89 Hahaha your so right whoever says that obviously didnt TTC 😂 well yeah this was definitely a practice cycle, I've learnt loads I didnt even realise before about what a woman's body does in the whole month & I will definitely track ovulation next cycle for the best chance. Might even give SMEP a go so my OH better get rested up 😜

@Ltay2 Well yeah your probably testing that little bit too early then & by Tuesday will be 12DPO so more chance getting a positive, sending u lots of baby dust x

KateColx · 02/05/2020 14:55

@SarahTTCx I'm just after you, due on the 8th. I've already taken some early tests 🙈 I thought I had a really faint line on one but nothing on one a few days later so think it was a fluke. Ive still got some FRER so might do one tomorrow or Monday. God I know whst you mean about expensive though, those on amazon next day delivery are my weakness 😂 x

@KRK05 I'm definitely going to track ovulation too next month, and throw the idea of SMEP to OH haha. Do you track ovulation using anything at the mo? X

KateColx · 02/05/2020 14:57

Girls google is not my friend today. I'm now wondering if my spotting on Wednesday and then the cramp type pains since could be down to a late ovulation? I only use a period tracking app to track ovulation at the moment and I've never wondered how accurate the ovulation date is (never needed to), it does have all my dates going back to 2017 but do you think it could still be out?

Sorry, TWW is obviously getting to me 😂 x

KRK05 · 02/05/2020 15:04

@KateColx No I haven't tracked ovulation I basically just went with the flow this month, had this illusion that I would be chill about it & not need to track ovulation but I am definitely away to order some OPKs. Feel out the loop cause I have no clue when I ovulated 🙈

KRK05 · 02/05/2020 15:10

I've decided I'm going to use clearblue along with cheap OPKs just cause its my first month using any of them so I can get used to things. I'm confused with the clearblue ones though, what one should I go for? The advanced one that has like flashing smiley before a static or the other clearblue that's just no surge or a smiley for LH surge? I have no experience so dont have a clue 🤦🏼‍♀️ also a lot of ladies say one step OPKs is that the ones u can log into an app to see your peak. Sorry girls I'm an OPK virgin so plenty questions😂

Ltay2 · 02/05/2020 15:19

@KRK05 Yes the one step ones you can add to apps for reading. Not sure if you can also do this with the line version of the clear blue too. If you want some extra reassurance I would probably go with the smiley ones as the clear blue lined ones will pretty much be the same as the one step.

KRK05 · 02/05/2020 15:26

@Ltay2 Thankyou I've got the One step ones in my basket now. The Clearblue ones there is 2 versions of digital so I have no clue what one 🤦🏼‍♀️ my descriptions are probably rubbish so heres the pics of them x

@Noble89 I just laughed out loud at your 'get on it lass' obvs in a geordie accent. We had sex last night when he got in and this afternoon so one more time tomorrow before a day off 🤣 a couple weeks ago I was wondering what people were moaning about having sex all the time but the planning of days really can see how it can become an issue after months of trying.

I'm by no means an expert on the CB tests but from reading a million forums I don't think it's a test and control line, but an oestrogen and LH line, think when I got the static one was really light and one was really dark. No bloody clue which one is which though sorry 😐

@KateColx if you are just tracking using an app it might be completely right or completely out. Without any other data it will only know your period length so will probably assume you ovulate 14 days before period but it could be 10 day or 16 days so if it was 10 days ovulation would be 4 days out every month, if that makes any sense. If you use BBT or opks then it'll give you a better sense, or if you are having sex every couple days during your middle 2 weeks of cycle then probs covered.

@KRK05 sorry about the BFN today 🙁 in regards to CB, I use the CB connected and got 25 sticks with it (think it was about £35 but just sent OH the link so can't remember) and then I now use femometer opks, you can download their app and scan them in (think they were £10 for 50 opks and 30 preg tests). This month I did CB in the morning and then cheapie opks in the afternoon.

Hope everyone is having a nice Saturday in lockdown, suns out today so really should go for a walk but watching Netflix in bed is seeming way more appealing 😂

SmileyT · 02/05/2020 15:44

I went for This one but think the purple ones you have a pic of do the same thing but don't sync to your phone -

KateColx · 02/05/2020 16:00

@KRK05 I'm glad you're asking all of these CB questions so I can just go with the one you choose 🤣 I only use an app on my phone, so probably not that accurate at all. X

@SmileyT thank you!! Makes perfect sense ☺️ If it was ovulation bleeding/pain it would have been on CD19, which seems late as I always have a 27 / 28 day cycle. Definitely going to invest in some CB kits if I'm not lucky this month. Thank you for helping! X

SmileyT · 02/05/2020 16:12

@KateColx yeah definitely don't buy it now you had a line a few days ago so you could've already done enough 🤞

KRK05 · 02/05/2020 16:15

@KateColx So confusing isnt it 😂 I've just had a read about both, I'm gonna go with the Clearblue advanced one which detects 4 fertile days (the one that's lilac/purple & white) that ones a little more expensive than the pink one but detects 2 hormones. I'm also gonna get One step OPKs cause there cheap enough anyway & do it along with clearblue so I can work out which one I prefer incase I'm unsuccesful for cycle #2 aswell 🤦🏼‍♀️ I think it's better for us too instead of just hitting peak & having to run away DTD 😂 with this one it detects your fertile window so those few days before peak, which is handy! I really hope u get your BFP when u next test & that u wont need any x

@SmileyT Thanks for your help! The one u have looks great with connecting to your phone x

DKDK123 · 02/05/2020 16:20

@Noble89 You're right you're definitely led to believe growing up that it's so easy to fall pregnant! Although I suppose when you're that age it probably is far easier as you'll be mega fertile at an age when most people dont particularly want a baby, and it starts to decline when you really do want one....just another one of mother natures cruel jokes a bit like periods and childbirth! Us women really do draw the short straw!

I remember being so naive with my first and actually calculating what month I want my baby to be born in and working out from then what month I was going to fall pregnant in and being so shocked when it didnt happen as planned 😂

Ltay2 · 02/05/2020 17:51

I just had a nap (yes, again 🤣) and woke up crying. Don't recall having such vivid/real dreams in ages. The crying was how I felt in the dream with what was happening so the emotion in itself makes sense (the dream was nothing to do with TTC) but it's the intensity that's all just so strange!

KateColx · 02/05/2020 18:46

@SmileyT thanks lovely, I'm keeping everything crossed 🤞🏻 x

@KRK05 oh that sounds good then! I'd definitely rather know about the fertile days rather than just the exact day haha, the pressure would be so real to get to it straight away 🤣 thank you! X

Hope you're all enjoying your Saturdays, takeaway and Netflix for us tonight. OH is on the beer but I'm staying away from the gin just in case 😬 x

SmileyT · 02/05/2020 19:06

@KateColx enjoy your evening...OH is making me a pizza from scratch and then we'll be on our millionth series on Netflix. We are also both staying away from the booze until fertile window is over. Not sure I'll keep this up if I'm trying for a year though, I'll need a G&T to get me through the first couple weeks every month 😂

@Ltay2 love a nap...I've had the laziest of days this lockdown really doesn't help with motivation does it 🙈 hope you are feeling okay after your vivid dream x

babyG123 · 02/05/2020 19:36

Highly recommend Breeders on sky 1. A insight into parenting 🤣🤣

KRK05 · 02/05/2020 19:47

@KateColx It sounds fairly simple tbh & easier than the line tests, although I will do both cause yep I'm about to become a crazy woman 😂 X

@Ltay2 Sorry to hear about your vivid dream 😒 I suffer so bad from vivid dreams quite alot which wake me to think there real for a second. I myself have had a nap today too, was bliss! X

@SmileyT Netflix is on the cards for me & OH tonight too, & a Gin is 10000% for sure gonna be in my hands I've had enough for the last 3 weeks which feels like 6 months 😂

Hope everybody has a lovely weekend x

KRK05 · 02/05/2020 19:48

@SmileyT Had enough of the last 3 weeks I meant, I promise I'm not an alcoholic whos been drinking for the past 3 weeks 😂🙈

KateColx · 02/05/2020 20:16

@SmileyT homemade pizza sounds like the dream! We're also trying to find yet another series to watch on Netflix 🙄 Oh god yeah, I'm all for gin as soon as AF hits haha! Fertile window and TWW seems like plenty 😂🤷🏼‍♀️ x

@KRK05 oh I'll be joining you on the crazy!! the line tests always look so complicated and I always see people along others about them hha. I might stick with the CB to begin with, nice and simple to start me off 🤣 x

Ltay2 · 02/05/2020 20:18

You've reminded me I haven't made pizza from scratch in ages! Might suggest that to OH for next weekend ☺️ you may have already seen it but we watched a good series on Netflix recently called Sinner.

KRK05 · 02/05/2020 20:45

@KateColx I think everything is so complicated when TTC, do this dont do that theres this huge list of rules I didnt even know existed 😂 I'm with u on the test strips though, look so confusing 🤷🏼‍♀️ I figured il do both to compare them, CB in morning & One Step in the evening.

On another note I uploaded my test picture on another thread saying I got a BFN & 6 have replied saying theres a line 🤷🏼‍♀️ I'm 1000% positive it's the indent line I can see & I seen it when I looked at the test after 3 minutes so I'm just definitely holding out for AF cause I have no positive feelings for this cycle what so ever, I feel like I've spent the past 3 weeks one day chilled out the next day obsessed with everything I'm gonna send myself insane 🙈

My OH told my 5 year old cause he was asking where babys comes from has been for ages now (at that curious age) that u go to a seed shop & it gets put in the mums belly button then grows into a baby. I mean it's the most stupid story ever so I took nothing to do with it cleared the room but why isnt this true 😂

KRK05 · 02/05/2020 20:49

@Ltay2 I've watched the sinner it's so good ☺

KateColx · 02/05/2020 20:50

@KRK05 I am so pleased it isn't just me that feels like this!! 😂 I'm 30 and literally didn't know half the stuff that I've learnt about on here over the past few weeks. I started telling OH earlier about ovulation tests and he thinks it's a bit much considering we're only in month 2, I wish I was as chilled as him 😂 so looks like I'll be hiding them from him haha.

Oh really? Pop it on here so we can hve a look! Eurgh I know I'm the same, one day I'm like I'll stop worrying, just DTD more and see how we go and then the next day I'm buying early pregnancy tests and reading about frigging short luteal phases.

Ah I so wish it was!! X

babyG123 · 02/05/2020 20:57

@KRK05 upload to here?

@KateColx I learnt that normal lube makes sperm stick yesterday and not 'flow' 🤣 defo a few lessons on here!
