Wow @AlternativeOpinion1, your chart is impressive. I am on D4 of C1 and just going to use OPKs this month and hope for the best. Can you talk me through your chart, it has me intrigued!

Katbaby · 21/04/2020 12:20

Hey @CoronaBaby I'm great thanks how are you!?

Feel good if not slightly nauseated and VERY burpy today. Also RAVENOUS. Hubby has had to nip out to work today so I can graze without judgement from the fridge. 😂
Did another test today definitely feeling confident today and no more spotting since Sunday so fx it's finished with.

I've completely lost track of how things are going on the thread, so girls update me? When are people due to ovulate /test? I'm sending contagious baby vibes to everyone xx

@Sausage1990 I have the femometer opks as well and they say specifically not to use FMU!

Minster2012 · 21/04/2020 12:42

@Sausage1990 oh tight if they say fmu then should be that then but if you are DTD every other day then should be covered but maybe just try a few at other times. I’m finding it hard though to hold wee & not drink fluid! Overall I think it’s v frustrating. I have no idea when I ovulate so just want to know that for a couple of months.

I’ve tried BBT & got such wild results I’m obviously rubbish at it!

Skyla01 · 21/04/2020 13:38

The clear blue opks I used before are designed for fmu. I haven't used IC ones but I always heard they are best in the afternoon, as that is when the LH surge is. Maybe best to use them twice a day, morning and afternoon?

@Katbaby that's really exciting & giving us all hope! I am not due to ovulate for about a week but have ewcm already. Going to dtd every 2 or 3 days for the next week or so. I'm trying not to track too closely this cycle but it's hard!

Dixie17 · 21/04/2020 14:49

Hello ladies,

So my first MN post was pretty negative! But I’m back feeling more positive. AF is over and ready to try again.

The fact is the odds really are in our favour..it will happen for us (and hopefully this is a lucky bus).

So lovely to get good news @Katbaby-congratulations!

Impressive charting there @AlternativeOpinion1

I’m going to use clear blue digi tests (I found the comparing lines weirdly hard!) also going to reduce sugar and alcohol. DH is very determined this time too..breaks my heart that he gets disappointed too.

Very nearly may..positive tests all round xxx

HopefulRobertsons66202 · 21/04/2020 15:23

Ok I need help. I took an OPK and it was the clear blue digital one and I got just a circle meaning low fertility. I've been testing every day and have had negative results. But when I removed the test strip from the digital my line looked darker than the control line....any ideas?

Today is supposedly ovulation day but it still says low 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Dixie17 I’m also trying to be healthy, eating lots of veggies & doing workouts I’m prob in the best shape I’ve been for a while so feeling good. Alcohol is the sticking point, stick with a manic toddler in isolation is pretty hard I’m not going to lie but I’m also finding the IC OPKs hard but not got any kind of a surge yet as only first cycle with OPKs, I have got some CB they are easier so I’m hoping they pick up when I actually ovulate so I know what my cycle is for the future.

@babyG123 that’s bit weird, are you like me, hard to hold wee or drink a lot of fluid or maybe caffeine?

@HopefulRobertsons66202 maybe someone else can help but even when I take out my ones from CD8 yesterday & CD9 today on CB ones they had a line I could see so I guess it’s there anyway even on non surge days?

HopefulRobertsons66202 · 21/04/2020 17:25

I'm going to try again tomorrow, I have EW CM and I read that the first use of a new CB digital OPK is always negative to get a "baseline" so hopefully something good happens tomorrow!

Dixie17 · 21/04/2020 17:32

@HopefulRobertsons66202 stick with the CB...I had 6 days blank circle, 3 flashing and then static on the last stick! But all of them had 2 darkish lines...much less faff seeing a smile than squinting at sticks

@Minster2012 a few glasses of wine is needed in isolation for sure..

HopefulRobertsons66202 · 21/04/2020 17:34

@Dixie17 Today was my first time using the CB digital ones and I didn't realized you need to use them in advance to your projected ovulation date so I don't know if it will show right this cycle. I was using the CB easy ovulation sticks and I don't care for them Because every time you take one the control line is always a different shade of blue 🙄

babyG123 · 21/04/2020 18:08

@Minster2012 I probably don't drink enough and hold a wee too much as I can't wee alone (DS1) so just wait a lot 🙈

Sausage1990 · 21/04/2020 18:30

@Juno231 @Minster2012 ugh I'm a fool and didn't read the leaflet inside I just did the same as the other brand I used that said any time of day is fine. I've just read it now and it says between 10am and 8pm 🙈

I did do a few around 5-6pm after work and they were very similar to the morning ones.

I'll try to take some to work with me tomorrow and do them there... Which may be tricky but I'll give it a go lol

I've had no fertile cm yet so holding out that my body is doing what she can and yes by DTD frequently hopefully we'll be lucky 🤞🏻

MrsLBear · 21/04/2020 19:11

@hopefulrobertson66202 when these are positive (as in static) I've always found one line is pretty much navy blue. Unfortunately that's not a positive. I only know this cos I've looked into it so much and also used to keep all of mine for comparison. Keep going though! Hopefully you get your peak soon. What cd are you?

@skyla01 I tried the relaxed approach but in the end felt like I wasted time as I've sort of realised that it seems I need to DTD very close to ovulation in order to get a look in. Baby dust to you and got my fx for you!! Thank you, I'm hoping my temp goes up tomorrow so then I know I've ovulated!

@minster2012 I'm so sorry you've been through all of that. Wishing you all the best! Doesn't hurt to keep trying. Wishing you lots of luck!

Sorry to hear of your frustration @sausage1990. I also stopped taking pregnacare as I'm convinced it made my cycles longer. It might be complete rubbish but say it did then I think it might take a little while to come out of your system maybe? I never really got on with cheapie opks. I use the clear blue ones once every few cycles when I'm feeling particularly fed up and only then when I get my static smiley do I get a positive on the cheapie opks. I think it's so hard for some ppl to find a good positive surge on those. The day I got my static smiley/peak on clear blue I also tested with the other OPK about 3 hours later and it was blazing positive (around midday) then redone around 4 and it was negative again. So would most likely have missed it normally as I only ever do them in the afternoon.

MrsLBear · 21/04/2020 19:14

@skyla01 I also use both clear blue and ICs as I have never found my surge using ICs alone. I use my clear blue in the am then do a couple of ICs during the day when I've managed to hold it and not drink much which is so hard as they say to drink more water to increase cm. Oh the joys of TTC.

MrsLBear · 21/04/2020 19:15

Let us know how you get on tomorrow @hopefulrobertson66202 I bet it's either flashing or static. Would be amazing if it was static! Yeah it almost seems a waste knowing the first stick will be a blank circle ⭕️

Adrianoska · 21/04/2020 19:21

I usually get an opk peak on the cd11th. And I didn't today! Took 3 tests already...
Got upset last night as we didn't bd! We did for 5 days in a trot before yesterday... I should get a positive tomorrow, so ovulate the day after? Should we bd tonight or tomorrow? Or both?

HopefulRobertsons66202 · 21/04/2020 19:37

@mrsLBear I am CD 12! 😊

Littlepeas2 · 21/04/2020 19:53

I’d go for both @Adrianoska!!

MoonW · 21/04/2020 19:56

@Sausage1990 this is my first cycle taking my temp, but in a weird way I’m kind of enjoying it and feeling like I have more of understanding of what’s going on (kind of 😂). If you think it’s going to cause you stress though I wouldn’t feel pressured to do it as it doesn’t really help with knowing when to BD, but does give an indication if you’ve ovulated 🙂

I’ve been determined not to symptom spot this time round and I’ve been doing ok with that so far, but I just have a feeling it’s not going to happen this cycle, but not sure why. However today I’m 4dpo (CD20) and just had incredibly intense sharp shooting/stabbing pains in my lower left hand side just above my hip and I have no idea why or what they could be as not something I’ve ever had before? Hmm

Newbie0818 · 21/04/2020 20:11

CD35 today. Sticky cm (white and... stringy...? Tmi!). Any ideas what that means? Is af on the way?

Littlebump2018 · 21/04/2020 20:34

Does anyone use clear blue digital ovulation sticks? I'm today I am 4 days since the last day of my period and I got a flashy smile on the stick. Does this sound really early? Or do other people start ovulating this early? Thanks x

MrsLBear · 21/04/2020 20:50

@littlebump2018 what cd are you?

RobinRose · 21/04/2020 21:01

@MoonW I feel the same as you, that it’s not going to happen this month so not symptom spotting. To be honest, I feel like I can’t be bothered to symptom spot! Usually google everything and get my hopes up but this month I’ve just gone ‘meh’ to everything! I have also had some weird stabbing pains 5 and 6dpo, I’m sure I don’t usually get these but not thinking much of it!
