@MrsLBear I would dtd tonight too (and tomorrow if you can). I think positive opk occurs 24-36hr before ovulation so most likely you will ovulate tomorrow. So lucky you caught it! I don't track anymore, but I usually ovulate a bit later and not due for another week but might DTD tonight just in case after your story!

Katbaby · 20/04/2020 13:42

Haha @CoronaBaby well I only have 6 left, but i have a pack of 20 IC... Can't see me using them as well tho. We will see hahaa! When do you plan on Bf til?

Littlepeas2 · 20/04/2020 13:47

Ahh @katbaby congratulations!!! ❤️❤️

CoronaBaby · 20/04/2020 14:28

Yes @MrsLBear it will keep us all on our toes knowing it may not happen when predicted!
@Katbaby honestly I don’t know, originally I said I’d attempt it but if it didn’t work I wouldn’t stress about it, then I said 6 weeks, then 12, then 6 months. Now I’m saying until the year mark but now that’s looming and I don’t know how I will wean her 🤷🏻‍♀️

Katbaby · 20/04/2020 16:23

Thanks @Littlepeas2!

Oh @CoronaBaby if it works for you and little one then I wouldn't worry about it

Newbie0818 · 20/04/2020 18:23

Thanks @KateColx what will be will be this month ☺️ Cd 34 and no af or symptoms. My Flo app hates me 🤣

HopefulRobertsons66202 · 20/04/2020 19:03

Has anyone ever actually got the "stretchy" CM, I have very watery and slippery CM but never really ever noticed a "stretch" understanding CM near ovulation is harder than I thought

RobinRose · 20/04/2020 19:25

@HopefulRobertsons66202 yes! Some months more than others, mostly slippery this month. watery cm is also good!

HopefulRobertsons66202 · 20/04/2020 19:28

@RobinRose ok! I'll keep an eye out! I'm projected to ovulate Tuesday or Wednesday of this week so I'll keep watching!

babyG123 · 20/04/2020 20:25

@Katbaby I was so obsessed with testing and then (gross part) I kept all the test until he was born like I thought I was jinxing myself 🤣

@CoronaBaby there's no pressure to stop. I did because I had a biter 🙈 if it helps we found the maam bottles the best to transition to. At least if you make it to a year you don't need to wean to formula and then cows you can just go to cows whenever. Now we got rid of a bottle as recommended and the NUK weaning hard teat bottles are also good. Could always put water in to get baby used to beaker as and when you feel ready.

MrsLBear · 20/04/2020 21:01

@minster2012 yes definitely I try to make sure we DTD regularly. I can't wait for the day where we can just DTD whenever we want and not to think ooo could this be it.
How long have you been TTC for?

@skyla01 thank you for the advice. We DTD tonight too just for good measure. If we could do tomorrow too I would be amazed as not sure we have that in our locker haha. Yeah I thought there's no way I'd ever ovulate before cd17 but here I am so definitely keep DTD regularly. Drs do say that you should DTD every other day and actually when we first conceived that's what we did. Haven't done it since though. How long are your cycles normally?

MrsLBear · 20/04/2020 21:04

@HopefulRobertsons66202 I never really do. I might see the odd bit once in a blue moon but not loads at all and if I didn't look I'd miss it. I do get watery cm although not had much of that this month either and had a positive OPK today. I've read loads that cm can sit around and near your cervix and doesn't necessarily come out but if you were to feel around your cervix it should be on your fingers (tmi) so don't read too much into it I don't think. Watery cm is still a very good sign.

Skyla01 · 20/04/2020 21:40

@MrsLBear my cycles are around 31 days. My luteal phase is shorter than average, it's the wait until ovulation that takes an age. I usually plan to dtd every 2/3 days from cd10 so we're covered just in case. Was aiming to be more relaxed / spontaneous this cycle but.... don't want to miss an opportunity! It's hard to "just relax"! Sounds like you are all set for this cycle & about to enter the TWW!

Minster2012 · 20/04/2020 22:26

@MrsLBear we are only just on our TTC journey, it’s an odd one for us as I’ve had chemo treatment for 10 years which meant I had to be on contraception so we were never allowed TTC, so we had IVF & had to use surrogacy, & my best friend stepped in & was our surrogate for our DS. I stopped my treatment last year, We TTC for 7 cycles then used a frozen embryo of ours in IVF & had MC in March. So in theory back to square 1 might as well TTC whilst clinics are shut tho I’ve been told before my egg levels are low so I’m not that hopeful. But hey, gotta do something 😂& would be cheaper than IVF again! So cycle 1 🤞🏻

Minster2012 · 20/04/2020 22:26

Well actually cycle 8 really but 1 after MMC

Sausage1990 · 21/04/2020 07:37

Hi ladies sorry I've been MIA... Just taking a step back to try and not stress about the whole TTC situation but I have been keeping up with you all.

@katbaby congratulations on your BFP!!! Such lovely news!

I'm feeling really frustrated atm. I do have longer cycles, typically 32-35 days but since January my cycles have been much longer 38-44 days.. I put this down to pregnecare conceive supplements so stopped taking them about a week ago and swapped to normal folic acid instead.

I'm now on CD 25 and still no positive opk test. No fertile cm either. I'm feeling very frustrated and losing hope a little. What's up with my cycles?

My 1st cycle was longer date wise because we did have a BFP that ended in a chemical miscarriage, so I understood that cycle 2 was longer as my body readjusted. In cycle 3 I think I had delayed ovulation because I was really poorly during my predicted ovulation window and continues to have fertile cm for a good week after what I thought was my window and then I have ovulation type cramps, but we didn't DTD at that time with one thing or another.

And now cycle 4 is long too without any clear reason, I've been much more chilled this cycle too... But another negative opk this morning and no cm is just getting me down 🙁 we've decided to just start DTD anyway and will continue every other day until I get a opk then will do it every day for a few days... We are so ready for this and I feel like my body is making it so much harder.

Sorry for the long post - I just needed to get it out of my head. Hope you're all well & keeping safe xx

MoonW · 21/04/2020 08:06

@Sausage1990 Hey 👋 it’s so frustrating when your body just seemingly doesn’t want to play ball! Have you though about measuring your BBT for your next cycle if it comes to it? It obviously wouldn’t tell you in advance when your ovulating but may give you an idea of what’s going on and may be just that the OPKs aren’t picking it up? Fingers crossed though that if you are having longer cycles that you get your positive OPK in the next few days 😊

Adrianoska · 21/04/2020 09:58

@sausage why are you testing in the morning? Wait till lunchtime, opks are better in the middle of the day! I always have them negative in the morning even in the peak ❤️
Don't give up just yet 🎀🌸

Jhose · 21/04/2020 10:29

I would like to join. I was pregnant twice in 2015, and only one of which resulted in a baby. It took just over a year to get pregnant and carry a child and it was bitter sweet because of the baby I lost before. It has now been over 2 years of trying for baby number two and no luck, but yet another miscarriage Christmas 2018. So three pregnancies and 1 baby. I am not in any way meaning to sound ungrateful or selfish. And I know there are many women in an even trickier situations than I am. But the stress, getting hopes up, tears, seeing other babies etc was just really wearing me down. I got to the point last year where I was so mentally exhausted that I stopped having sex full stop as I couldn't cope with the idea of being teased by my own body. I have had cycles last months. I have had spotting that is so light it was barely there, my body has been looking for symptoms in everything I do. After months of having deep conversations with myself and DH, am finally ready to try again. I will not be testing monthly or looking out for symptoms as I have spent a long time telling myself that it may not happen, and that I am extremely lucky to have my child, healthy and happy. We have come to the conclusion that if we do get to have a second child, we will be incredibly lucky, but there is no pressure. I am in a much better mindset than this time last year and I feel like a thread where I can check in will help massively, I'm so sorry if this was a long read. But you all seem so lovely, caring and helpful and I guess I could really do with that right now.

I just wanted to add that the kind words and advice I have seen posted on this thread makes me really believe that you are all absolutely lovely people and would make the most passionate and loving parents, and I hope each of you get the chance.

Minster2012 · 21/04/2020 10:54

Welcome @Sausage1990 & @Jhose! It’s a lovely friendly safe place here!

@Sausage I agree with above, though I’m still learning on the OPKs def if you are using ICs then most ppl seem to get better results 12pm onwards & into evening & by repeating. I’m only on my 1st cycle using them & CB & CD9 so haven’t got a high yet but give that a try? We are also DTD every other day too just in case til high.

@Jhose that sounds a tough journey & similar to myself, v lucky to have one DC but would love to try for another. 🤞🏻It works xxx

Mamaofboys3 · 21/04/2020 11:06

Welcome @Jhose. I'm so sorry for your losses. I've had five myself and two beautiful boys. One MMC, two MC at 8 weeks (last one bing in Feb 2020) and my eldest son was a triplet although sadly we lost the other two babies.

I believe that some just weren't meant to be here and they help the others come into the world safely.

Take care lovely, and I wish you lots of luck for your rainbow 🌈

CoronaBaby · 21/04/2020 11:16

@Katbaby how are you doing today? I have heard if you do conceive that your milk can dry up around week 16-20 so I might just use that as my opportunity to wean. I never thought that I would enjoy BF but I do!
@HopefulRobertsons66202 I find CM so hard to read so I’m going to keep an eye out for it this month but not stress about it. Enjoy your fertile week 😉
@Juno231 ouch a biter 😢 I have been bitten a few times but not too much, thanks for the recommendation on the NUK cup, she loves her water in her beaker but refuses milk from the beaker 😅
@Minster2012 and @Jhose what a tough journey you both have had! I wish you both every success in your journey! I think we all spend years on various contraception terrified that one slip up will result in pregnancy but that’s not the case at all 😥
@Adrianoska I have just got OPKs through in the post and the instructions say to use the first mornings wee, do you find lunch time better?

Sausage1990 · 21/04/2020 11:27

@MoonW I have thought about checking BBT but I'm afraid it will make me even mrke stressed out... And tbh I wouldn't know where to start. Do you chart BBT? Any tips?

@Adrianoska @Minster2012 yeah the instructions on the box says fmu so i have mostly used that but I do check in the afternoon about 5pm some days and it's still negative. I might try the afternoon a few times this week to see too.

The thing is my cervical mucus is not fertile either so I don't think the opk are incorrect...

It's a real midfield 🙈

Sausage1990 · 21/04/2020 11:31

These are my recent test results...

Hello ladies!

I hope you don't mind me hopping on. This is cycle 1 baby 1 for me and I've been drawn in by all the tracking and charting already!

Hopefully yesterday was ovulation, if my temp rises again tomorrow, otherwise it looks like an anovulatory cycle this time around.

Fingers crossed all!
