Hey, can I join.....

Started doing ovulation tests which I don't bloody understand 🤣 but hey ho, apparently ovulation in 3 days according to the app. 🤞🏼

My DS1 is 14m and was a mini pill baby so didn't have any of this before.

Cycles all over the place as i breastfed for 9 months so take a while to get itself together again.

Good luck girls and following from now xx

HopefulRobertsons66202 · 19/04/2020 23:47

What apps do you guys use?

Katbaby · 20/04/2020 07:07

Can I get excited yet? Bottom one is this mornings test 🤞🤞

RobinRose · 20/04/2020 07:29

@Katbaby congratulations 🥳!!

Juno231 · 20/04/2020 07:33

@HopefulRobertsons66202 femometer - I love it! Great for tracking OPKs :)

Newbie0818 · 20/04/2020 07:42

@Katbaby yes get excited! Congratulations 🥳

Thanks @KateColx! I actually didn’t want to be pg this month as we have flights booked around a possible due date 🤣 was just going to actively protect against it to see what my cycle does, but we were really bad at it so that’s gone out the window haha. I can’t help but hope now...

Fx for you!

Katbaby · 20/04/2020 07:47

Thank you everyone I still can't believe it! I hope this is a lucky thread sending baby dust to you all xxx

popcorndiva · 20/04/2020 08:28

@Katbaby congratulations!! It’s time to get excited! Delighted for you Smile
@Juno231 that’s great info thanks, I must look up femometer although my husband is looking forward to FW so much 🤣 he has likened it to the run up to Christmas!
@babyG123 hello!! We are in similiar situations, DD is 11months and I am still breastfeeding, what ovulation tests are you using?

Minster2012 · 20/04/2020 08:36

Wow I have t checked in for a few days and oh my so much! @Katbaby congratulations that’s definite!! 🥰🤗🌟🐣

@HopefulRobertsons66202 I also use femometer (& trying Ovia & downloaded another) & though 1st month TTC so still trying to get head round everything femometer is by far the easiest I think

I’ve got my load of pills & stuff arrived- seven seas trying, (instead of just the folic acid) pomegranate juice I drank during IVF when my lining wasn’t v thick 🤷‍♀️& it did thicken, I had my OPKs before & on CD8 today so going to start using them. Already DTD for fun on CD5&6, OH joked he’d like to yesterday but wanted a rest & I said “that’s fine I’d rather have a rest too we’ll save for Monday eh Wink

Katbaby · 20/04/2020 08:49

Thanks again girls, I used the seven seas trying tablets they are good @Minister2012 nice and small as well so easy to pop even if you don't have a glass of water to hand.
I hope so @popcorndiva @CoronaBaby hopefully pass my baby dust to you all!

I have definitely started with excited feelings as has my hubby, gonna maybe do another one later as this morning was only a 2 hour hold as I woke up in the night to pee about half 4 😝 I have about 7 tests left so will be doing them daily to convince myself

babyG123 · 20/04/2020 09:22

@Katbaby congratulations!!!

@CoronaBaby I got a @easyathome kit off of amazon which links to a app called premom. You take pics of the tests and it has a chart it links to etc.

I was worried as with breastfeeding they said it was a form of contraception and you couldn't get pregnant but then that changed, my friend fell pregnant when baby 4m and was feeding. Fingers crossed xx

Adrianoska · 20/04/2020 10:14

@Katbaby congratulations 🌸🎉🌸🎉🌸 I hope it is contiguous 😊

I am on cd10, should ovulate tomorrow but my opks still negative...

I use ovia app. I downloaded the femometer app but its annoying me... Plus I keep forgetting to take my bbt..

We have been bbd every night for 5 days now. My husband is exhausted. I really hope this is the month 🌸

Minster2012 · 20/04/2020 10:24

A question on the IC OPKs, how long do you have to hold wee for before doing do you think, & if you drink a lot beforehand does it make a difference? I am going to go for testing around 1pm & one later I think and to hold from now, but I drink a lot to stay hydrated & that’s a good thing overall right?

Katbaby · 20/04/2020 11:11

Sending contagious sticky baby vibes 😊😊 xx thanks for all the lovely messages. Still don't believe it myself. Will be testing for another week before I believe it

KateColx · 20/04/2020 11:39

@HopefulRobertsons66202 oh gosh you've got it all planned out and going on haha, I think I might need to up my game! For now we're just DTD every other day, I'm not tracking anything for now so I'll see how this month goes haha. Then I'll be asking all the questions about testing and supplements etc. With ovulation looking like Tues we're going to DTD for the next 3 days, hopefully 😅😂 Fingers crossed for you!!

@Newbie0818 ah I know what you mean, it must be hard not to be hopeful even when you've not been 'trying'. At least if it isn't this month you've got a nice holiday to look forward to 🥰 but the relaxed approach might just have worked.

@Katbaby congratulations!! So nice to come back on to a thread and see lovely news 💛

MoonW · 20/04/2020 11:55

@Katbaby Huge congratulations! 🥳

MrsLBear · 20/04/2020 12:06

Congratulations @Katbaby!!! I love seeing BFP 💕💕
Got a static smiley on my clear blue digital OPK today and just done a IC and its positive too which is crazy as I'm only on cd14 and the earliest I've ever O'd was cd17 normally is around cd21. I was only going to start testing today so would of missed the surge if I did that.
DTD last night unknowingly. Don't think we will tonight as it's a bit much so will tomorrow? Would that be enough? I know we should tonight too really. Any thoughts ladies? 💭

Juno231 · 20/04/2020 12:15

@Minster2012 I think it's minimum 2h of holding wee and not to drink excessively during that time - otherwise you'll have diluted wee and the readings will be weaker than they should be. I really struggle told my wee but seem to manage best around 4pm.

Runnergirl1 · 20/04/2020 12:17

Congratulations @Katbaby

HopefulRobertsons66202 · 20/04/2020 12:40

Congratulations @Katbaby !! You must be over the moon! So exciting! 😍♥️

Katbaby · 20/04/2020 12:54

Thanks girls for all your lovely comments. I am over the moon but terrified in equal measure. At least with lockdown it's easier to keep it to myself! Before lockdown I would have a bottle of wine with my best mate once a week so she would have known straight away!

Will be testing daily to check the little bean is still there!

Sending all the baby dust to everyone on this thread I hope it's a lucky one 🤞🤞🤞

CoronaBaby · 20/04/2020 13:07

@Katbaby oh my it’s such an exciting time! With my first I remember hiding tests in the end as DH thought I had lost the plot with the amount I did to check I was still pregnant 😅
@babyG123 I’ll keep them in mind if it doesn’t happen this cycle, knowing that I’m still BF makes me anxious it won’t happen, it’s reassuring to hear about your friend. Was she shocked?
@Minster2012 this is my first time using OPKs but do you not use your first wee of the day? Mine haven’t arrived yet, I had to order online as they weren’t available in my local pharmacy 😢
@MrsLBear I’m no expert but I don’t think I would be able to help myself and I’d be DTD but last night hopefully will have you covered 😉

Minster2012 · 20/04/2020 13:12

@MrsLBear good thing you checked then! That’s why I’m thinking it’s best to both check but also just keep DTD (until it’s gets to that stage where it’s just too repetitive but let’s hope we all get our BFPs before then 🤞🏻) personally I would DTD again tonight too just in case as they say it’s best to do it before ovulation

@Juno231 I only lasted holding the wee for just over a couple of hours so need to work harder on that. Will try later. It’s frustrating as medically I need to drink over 3 litres of fluid a day & obviously don’t like to do it late at night

Does anyone do testing in the evening or later at night?
